Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit
011128*, RAL 9002, Gray White, Standard
The Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit is an adapter that is built for a CyberData Ceiling speaker.

(1) Perforated Faceplate (24" [610mm] L x 12" [305mm] W)

(6) 8-32 X 3/16-inch Pan-Head Phillips
Machine Screw with Internal Star Washer
FIts 12-inches x 24-inches and 24-inches x 48-inches ceiling tile
NOTE: If you are installing the faceplate onto a 12" x 24" ceiling tile,
then you do not need to install the T-Channel.
(4) 8-32 X 1/4-inch Flat-Head Phillips
100 degrees Countersunk Machine Screw
Note: (4) Pre-installed
(2) Reserved for mounting the T-channel
(3) Nylon Thumb Nuts

To install the Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit, refer to the drawing in the "Installing the Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit" section on
the other side of this document. Complete the following steps:
1. Remove the ceiling tile from the ceiling (T-tracks).
2. Cut 12.25 inches [311 millimeters] off of the shorter side of the ceiling tile.
3. Determine which long side of the ceiling tile that you want to install (left or right only).
4. Secure the T-Channel with one of the 8-32 x 3/16-inch Pan-Head Phillips Machine screws.
5. Install the second 8-32 x 3/16-inch Pan-Head Phillips Machine screw onto the other side of the T-Channel. See
the drawing in the "Installing the Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit" section.
6. Install the Speaker onto the Ceiling Tile Speaker Kit Mount by using the three thumb nuts that are included
with the 071054A accessory kit (included with the 011098 and 011099 Speakers).
7. As an option, you may also attach the Earthquake strap. Secure the Earthquake strap to the joist for additional
support with one of the following options:
• A wire and an eyebolt. See the drawing in the "Installing the Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit" section.
• A wire and a nail bent into a hook shape. See the drawing in the "Installing the Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit"
section.
8. Place the Ceiling Tile Drop-In Kit onto the T-tracks.
