1. GENERAL
The CTC-239S is a 239-type plug-in card that allows
network and customer transmission paths to be
connected through a T1 line repeater housing.

2. APPLICATION
When installed in a T1repeater slot, the CTC-239S
provides ametallic cut-through of transmission pairs
from input to output. The card eliminates the need for
manual splicing of cable pairs in applications that require
bypassing of line repeaters.
3. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Signals pass through the CTC-239S from input side to
output side as shown in Figure 2.

4. INSTALLATION
The CTC-239S mounts in one position of a 239-type
repeater housing or shelf. Electrical connections are
made through the 12-pin card edge connector. Pin
designations are outlined in Table 1.

6. WARRANTY & REPAIRS
Warranty
Enginuity warrants this product for five (5) years from
date of purchase. Any attempt to repair or modify the
equipment by anyone other than an authorized Enginuity
representative will void the warranty.
Repair and Return
Enginuity equipment will be repaired or replaced without
cost during the warranty period if the product is defective
for any reason other than abuse, improper use, or
improper installation. Before returning defective
equipment,first request a Return Material Authorization
(RMA) number from Enginuity. Once an RMA number is
obtained, return the unit, freight prepaid, along with a
brief description of the problem, to:

ATTN: Repair & Return Dept.
Replacements will be shipped in the fastest manner
consistent with the urgency of the situation. Repair or
replacement of faulty equipment beyond the warranty
period is available for a nominal charge. Contact
