Connection to the supply
The GenPro 40e R2 must be connected to a DC supply by the supplied power
cable.
Network connection
A main GSM antenna must be connected to the MAIN SMA connector.
A secondary GSM antenna may be connected to the AUX SMA connector.
- In all cases, the main antenna (MAIN) must
be connected.
- The non connection of the secondary
antenna (AUX), does not stop the
functioning but can reduce the performances
of data transfer.
DTE connection
A straight USB Type A to USB mini B is used to connect to the DTE to the host.
SIM card
Remove the SIM card cover.
Insert the SIM card (push/push mechanism)
Put the SIM card cover back.
4.3 USB Driver installation
It is necessary to use the Drivers available on our website when using and
installing the GenPro 40e R2 modem associated to the USB port.
We advise you to install the driver before switching the modem on.
Depending on the installations of USB drivers already made on your computer,
the installation of the USB Driver for the GenPro 40eR2 will not be automatic
and necessary.
4.4 Switching on
Switch the modem on.
The GSM LED lights permanently and then flashes once every two seconds if
the PIN code has been entered.
Documentation describing the AT commands for GSM is available from our
website.
