1. Product Description
Thephased-arraycolumnspeakerisanewtypeofpublicaddress device.Byapplyingthe electronicand
digitalsignalprocessing(DSP)technologies,itcan simulatethe directivityof differentshapesof column
speakers,whilethe inherent performancesofthe phased-arraycolumnspeakerwill not beaffected, e.g.
rated power,rangeoffrequencyresponseand max. sound pressurelevel.
WithDSPtechnologies,wemayoperatefromthe remotecontrollertochangethe directivityofspeaker
systematsomeextent. Thisissuitableforpublicaddress inahall wherethe buildingacoustics ispoor
(especiallylongreverberation time).Thisproductismostsuitableforthe hardware(speaker,DSP
processor) ofthe publicaddress systeminsportsvenues(wherethe volumeofspaceislarge,the
buildingacoustics ispoor,the reverberation timeislongand the sound ismuddy),thatitcan be
combined withspecialsoftwaretomakethe controllablesound coverusefularea (auditoria,etc)
correctlyandpreventitfromdiffusion touseless area(e.g.ceiling,doororwindow).Inthiscase,itcan
reducetheinvestmentinmaterialofacousticdecorationsinvenuesanddecreasetheenergyloss
caused bypublicaddress system.Thisleadstoreduced investmentinboththeacousticdecorationsand
publicaddress systeminthe sportsvenue.
2.Functions
lAcousticallysimulatethe columnspeakersofdifferentshapes,e.g.inclined,concave,convex
and morecomplicatesshapes.
lActivecolumnspeakerwithbuilt-indigitalsignalprocessorand digitalpoweramplifier,sothatit
isno need fordrivingofexternalpoweramplifier.
lThisunit hasAUXsignalinput, AUXsignaloutputandconstantvoltagepowersignalinput (70V
or100V).
lVolume, tone andotherparametersofthe columnspeakercan beadjustable.
lTheLEDscreen on the lowerpart ofthe unit candisplaydifferent parametersand messages.
lOperatefrominfrared remotecontroller.

4.Installation Diagram:

installed,and fixtwoscrews ø8mm.As
shownon right, mount the bracket and fix
the columnspeaker.
2. Connect thewirecorrectlyasdescribed in
Section 5. Check ifthe columnspeakeris
secureandconfirmthat the connectionis
correct. Then, plugthe powercableof
columnspeakerintoACsocket.

Thephased-arraycolumnspeakerisoperatedbyinfraredremotecontroller.Theoperation of
remotecontrolleriseffectivewhenitoperates within180infrontofthesound column.
1. Switchontheunit (Firstly,the UDE”will appearbeforeenteringthis
interface).
2. Adjustthevolume
Press V+”or V-”(Max.volume:32 levels;Min.volume: 0).
3.Equalization Adjustment
Press “EQ”(Rangeofadjustablefrequency:80Hz-20kHz)
Press “V+orV-”tomoveleft and right forselection offrequencyband (14 bandsintotal).
Press “AN+ orAN-”toadjusttheamplitude ofselected frequency band (Adjustableamplitude:
