BEFORE STARTING THE RECHARGEABLE
STORAGE CELL
• Read all the usage and maintenance instructions. Failure to follow
these instructions can result in serious or even fatal injuries.
• Obtain good understanding of the risks associated with the use
of the machine, injuries potentially caused by these risks, and
precautions to take in order to avoid them.
• To ensure a trouble free service life for your rechargeable storage
cell, perform maintenance and appropriate care indicated in this
manual.
• Always keep this manual at hand so you can refer to it any time you
need information.
WARNINGS
a) Do not dismantle, open or tear the cells or batteries of storage cells .
b) Do not expose the batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storage under
direct sunlight.
c) Do not short-circuit a cell or battery. Do not haphazardly store the
batteries in a box or drawer where they can get short-circuited with
each other or other metal objects.
d) Do not remove batteries from their original packaging until it is
not necessary to use them.
e) Do not subject batteries to mechanical shocks.
f) In the event of a cell leak, be careful not to allow the liquid to
come into contact with the skin or eyes. If this is the case, wash the
affected area with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
g) Do not use any charger other than the one provided specifically for
use with the device.
h) Regard the plus [+] and minus [-] marks on the cell, the battery
and the device and ensure that they are correctly used.
i) Do not use cells or storage batteries not designed to be used with
the device.
j) Do not mix cell with different fabrication, capacity, size, or type
inside a device.
k) Keep the cells and storage batteries out of reach of children.
l) Immediately seek medical advice if a cell or a battery is swallowed.
m) Always purchase cells or batteries appropriate to the device.
n) Keep the cells and batteries dry and clean.
o) Wipe cell and battery terminals using a dry and clean cloth if they
become dirty.
p) It is necessary to charge the cells and storage batteries before
use. Always use the suitable charger and refer to manufacturer’s
instructions or device manual for charging instructions that apply.
q) Do not keep batteries charging for long when not in use.
r) After long periods of storage, it may be necessary to repeatedly
charge and discharge the cells or storage batteries in order to obtain
maximum performance.
s) Keep the original documents related to the product for future
reference.
t) Only use the cell or storage battery for their intended application.
u) If possible, remove the battery from the device when not in use.
v) Properly dispose.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
N-ERGY PA362E rechargeable storage cell should not be
exposed to moisture and water penetration:
• Do not wash the rechargeable storage cell. Brush it as needed and
wipe it with a dry rag.
• Do not immerse the rechargeable storage cell.
• Do not use it in the rain.
• When not in use, remove the rechargeable storage cell of the
machine and store it in a cool and dry place where there is no risk
of damage.
The rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell should not be left
within reach of children:
• Small metal objects may be introduced into the connectors and
cause a short circuit.
N-ERGY PA362E rechargeable storage cell must be handled with
care:
• Do not expose the rechargeable storage cell to shocks. Do not knock
it against an obstacle; do not let it fall to the ground.
• If you need to transport your machine, remove the rechargeable
storage cell.
• Do not carry or store the rechargeable storage cell with metal
objects that could cause a short circuit.
The rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell should only be
used for appropriate products defined by ETESIA:
• Any other application may pose risks endangering the user and the
risk of damage to the storage cell.
The rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell must be installed
on its support as indicated in the instruction manual of the
device:
• Never unreasonably force its set-up (pressure, shocks, etc.) as you
risk damaging the components.

In order to prolong the life of your rechargeable storage cell and keep
it in excellent working order, read this manual carefully and always
follow the safety recommendations and maintenance instructions.
Store this booklet in a safe place for any later need

ETESIA has a policy of continuously improving the quality of its
products, therefore your rechargeable storage cell might show slight
differences compared with the description in the present booklet.
Your ETESIA dealer is in possession of the most recent technical
specifications. Do not hesitate to contact him.
BEFORE USING YOUR RECHARGEABLE STORAGE
CELL
• Prior to use, check that safety labels are present on the rechargeable
storage cell as indicated in the manual. If any safety labels are
missing, inform your dealer immediately.
• The mower is required by law to carry them.
• Before using your mower, make sure that you are completely
familiar with the controls and operating instructions.

The rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell should not be
exposed to/used at a high temperature (above 50 ° C):
• Overheating it could pose a risk of performance degradation
(reduction of its range, lifetime, etc.) and even the risk of catching
fire.
The storage cell is activated and put in stand-by mode by a «long»
press on the «I/O» button on the display:
• Lightly press the «I/O» button with your finger for 1-2 seconds.
• Never press with an object as it could damage the button.
WARNING ! N-ERGY PA362E rechargeable storage cell
must only be recharged with the CA362E charger (separately
available):
• CA362E charger has many automatic features and has been
specially designed for recharging in complete safely.
• CA362E charger should only be used for recharging the
rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell. It should not be used to
recharge non-rechargeable batteries in any case.
ABNORMAL OPERATION:
• You should always avoid using your machine, rechargeable storage
cell, or charger if you realize that they do not function normally and
search for the causes.
• If you perceive a suspicious odor or observe abnormal overheating
of the rechargeable battery, immediately remove it from its holder
and disconnect the charger and do not use it anymore.

PREPARATION OF THE
RECHARGEABLE STORAGE CELL
For safety reasons during transport, the protective fuses of
your rechargeable storage cell are not installed on delivery .
• Turn the rechargeable storage cell, unscrew and remove the lids of
the two fuse holders marked «T30A» and «F15A» (see picure 1).
• Install the 2 fuses supplied with your rechargeable storage cell and
screw the lids back.
CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE
STORAGE CELL
WARNING! N-ERGY PA362E rechargeable
storage cell must only be recharged with the
CA362E charger. Recharging should not be done in
conned areas or an environment which is damp,
dusty or under exposure to heat.
CONNECTING THE CA362E CHARGER
• Remove the protective cap from the charging socket of the
rechargeable storage cell and connect the charging cable connector
(see 1 picture 2) respecting the orientation determined by the
actuator and screw and tighten the retaining ring.
• Connect the plug of the power cord to a 230 V~ power outlet.
It automatically activates the charging status display on top of the
rechargeable storage cell (see 2 picture 2)
which is accompanied by
the LEDs on the front of the charger being lit.
- Voltage indicator lit red (see 3 picture 2) : The charger is
powered correctly.
- Charging indicator lit red (see 4 picture 2) : Charge cycle in
progress.
Monitoring the charge cycle and charge termination
The observation of the charging status display on top of the
rechargeable storage cell informs you about the progress of the
charging. 5 coloured LEDs light up progressively, starting with the
red light next to the «I/O» button.
When the five lights are on, the rechargeable storage cell is almost
charged. When charging is complete, the charging current is
automatically terminated and the charge indicator on the charger
changes colour (green).
• Remove the power cord plug from the 230 V outlet.
• Unscrew the retaining ring and remove the charging connector.
• Put on the protective cap on the input socket of the rechargeable
storage cell.
• Put the rechargeable storage cell in stand-by mode by pressing the
«I/O» button on the display: the lights go out.
Otherwise, the rechargeable storage cell is put on stand-by by itself
after a few minutes.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF THE
RECHARGEABLE STORAGE CELL
Rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell only requires a few
precautions and maintenance. However, it is sensitive to shocks,
abnormal heating, humidity and dust.
You should take care of:
- Ensuring regular cleaning with a dry rag without water.
- Ensuring its connectors are clean using a non-metallic soft brush.
- Making sure not to expose it to shock, heat, moisture and dust.
- Carrying out the scheduled maintenance work for prolonged period
without use.
- Storing it in a dry, well-ventilated place at a temperature between
-20 °C and +50 °C. Storage at a temperature outside this range
could damage the storage cell.
You never have to dismantle your rechargeable
N-ERGY PA362E storage cell to intervene yourself.
In case of problems, contact a ETESIA-qualified
specialist.

Most operating problems are due to wrong handling and using, poor use of the rechargeable storage cell or the lack of normal recommended
maintenance.
The following table describes simple methods of determining a few malfunctions and correcting them.
If the problem persists, we recommend that you contact one of our approved ETESIA dealers (list on requist to ETESIA - 67165

In addition to risks incurred by the user, the use of parts other than the manufacturer’s will result in the cancellation of the warranty for any
damage caused. ETESIA refuse to accept responsibility for accidents due to the use of parts not coming from the manufacturer.
9• STANDARD REPAIRS - PROBLEMS AND REMEDIES
8• WINTER STORAGE - LONG STOP
Do not store your rechargeable storage cell fully charged or
discharged for a long time. Doing so may cause permanent
damage.
- After the last use before storage period, recharge the storage cell to
half (3 lights on the charge status display, no green LED on).
- Before reusing the storage cell after a period of no use of about 6
months, simply do a full recharge of the storage cell.
If the period without use should extend beyond the normal period of
winter storage, maintenance operation would be necessary:
- Fully discharge the storage cell after the rst 6 months of storage,
then recharge it to half (3 lights on the charge status display, no
green LED on).
- Repeat this maintenance every 6 months if the period without use
should extends beyond 12 months.

10• PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
- WASTE (POLLUTANT) DISPOSAL
The presence of hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment affects the environment and health.
Households have their role in reuse, recycling and other forms of
recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
They are required not to dispose of WEEE with unsorted municipal
waste and to collect them selectively through recovery and
collection systems available to them.
Batteries contain hazardous materials and should not be released
into the natural environment in any case. They are subject to specific
disposal rules (Decree 97-1328 of 30 December 1997).
You can entrust your used ETESIA batteries to your ETESIA
certified specialist who will be responsible for their disposal or
disposal routes of waste sorting type or waste disposal designed for
this purpose.

12• WARRANTY
DEFINITIONS
• Dealer, importer = Distributor linked to ETESIA by an agreement
(dealership or importer contract). The dealer and the importer are in
charge of selling and servicing ETESIA machines.
• User, buyer = physical or moral person, company, local authority
or association having bought legally a machine new or second hand
from a dealer.
• Domestic use = use of a machine on a private ground. Machine is
owned by the user and just use to clear its private piece of ground
(main or secondary residence).
• Professional use = use of an ETESIA machine, in exchange of
money or not, on public areas to maintain companies or institutions
like : hospitals, associations,….or on private fields being owned by
a third person.
• The user completes the warranty card indicating the type of use
for every machine. This declaration engages its responsibility and
denes the legal warranty period.
• Should ETESIA discover that the machine is not used in the use
initially declared, ETESIA allows itself to cancel the warranty.
• Wear parts/consumable parts : parts needing to be changed
inevitably to enable an optimal normal use of the machine.
• Normal use = use of the machine according to all instructions
mentioned in the instruction book (including safety and maintenance).
GENERAL WARRANTY CONDITIONS
• In addition to the legal warranty, ETESIA offers a contractual
warranty. The ETESIA warranty concerns the exchange of parts
free of charge in case of material, production or conception
fault. This warranty applies on the product as he leave ETESIA
production line.
• The delivery company is the only responsible in case of transport
damage. It is however the addressee responsibility when damages
occurs during transport to mention reserves on the delivery note
when receiving the goods and to inform ETESIA within 48H by
registered letter.
• The instruction book delivered with every machine contents all
information regarding machines use. Any different use from the
one described in the instruction book can be dangerous for the user
and reduce machine life. In such cases, ETESIA can not be held
responsible.
CONTRACTUAL WARRANTY
The ETESIA contractual warranty is granted:
- For a period of 1 year of professional use
- For a period of 2 years of domestic use for rechargeable N-ERGY
PA362E storage cell and the controller associated with it,
for all defects in materials and manufacturing and for any capacity
loss of the rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell exceeding
30% of its initial capacity provided that it has less than 300 charge
cycles, according to the terms specified below.
1) Instructions from the instructions book have been respected.
2) The warranty card has been returned to ETESIA immediately after
the machine purchase or completed on the extranet site.
3) A revision is recommended after periods indicated in the
instruction book.
4) To require a repair under warranty claim, the buyer will contact
rst the ETESIA dealer. Should it not be possible, he could contact
ETESIA who would propose an alternative solution.
5) Just repairs done in ETESIA dealers workshops can be taken under
warranty.
6) Any material, production or conception fault recognized by
ETESIA as such will be eligible to warranty (parts and labour). It
will therefore be paid back to the dealer according to charge scale
mentioned in the agreement.
Every capacity loss exceeding 30% of the initial capacity of the
rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell (provided that it has
less than 300 charge cycles) recognized as such by ETESIA will
be repaired free of charge.
It is dealer responsibility to make sure that the end user does
receive the complete warranty allowed by ETESIA. Should
ETESIA not recognize any fault, the dealer will be held
responsible. ETESIA reserves the right to cancel the decision with
no compensation or warning. Transportation cost for machines
and parts are at user cost.
7) Any intervention done within warranty time, in particular in case
of parts exchange, will not give right to any new warranty period.
If the rechargeable N-ERGY PA362E storage cell is repaired,
the capacity after repair will reach at least 70% of the original
capacity of the rechargeable storage cell in which the intervention
took place, without the user being able to claim a rechargeable
storage cell whose capacity matches the original storage cell under
the contractual warranty.
8) In case of parts exchange under warranty, ETESIA reserves the
right to use either new or second hand parts. Parts given free of
charge by ETESIA can required at any time by ETESIA.
They need to be sent back on simple request. Should ETESIA
not receive these parts, warranty claim would automatically be
cancelled.
9) This warranty however does not cover : parts damaged during a
repair action ; machines not having been serviced according to
the repair schedule mentioned in the instruction book ; parts with
normal wear.
Please nd a list (not complete) of wearing parts: spark plugs,
lters, exhaust, seals, membranes, blades, blade coupling parts,
belts, clutch’s, batteries, battery electrolytes, control cables, sheath,
fuel pipes, durits, cooling liquid, hydraulic and lubrication liquids,
fuel, seat, bonnets, grass box, material grass box frame, mudguards,
pedal covers, running board cover, anti scalp kit, roll axle...
10) Warranty right is cancelled in the following cases:
- Damages due to non respect of safety, maintenance use and
storage instructions. ETESIA will not be held responsible,
legally in particular, for damages resulting from other uses
than the ones described in the instruction book.
- Damages due to accident or collision.
- Damages due to a modification of the original machine or use
of non original spare parts.
- Damages on machines not having been maintained by the
ETESIA dealer network.
11) In case of owner change, the outstanding warranty period can be
transferred to the new owner. However to enable this transfer a
written request need to be sent to ETESIA after sales department.
This request needs to attest as well that the new end user has
received the instruction book for the machine as well as the
warranty terms.
12) ETESIA keeps the right to check that preliminary conditions for
warranty have been respected by the buyer.
13) When warranty application is requested, ETESIA does deliver the
parts as soon as possible. However an immediate delivery can not
be requested. A delay in delivery would in no case give right to
compensation or to warranty extension.
14) Any additional claims to ETESIA is excluded.
15) Any breakdown suspected as being a fault subject to warranty
has to be brought to attention to an ETESIA dealer. The ETESIA
dealer is in fact the only contact able to submit a warranty claim
to ETESIA.

12• WARRANTY
Should a dispute occur the competent tribunal is the one
mentioned in the ETESIA dealership.
IMPORTANT NOTE :
As soon as a machine purchase takes place, the warranty cards needs
to be :
- completed, signed and sent back to :
