Cautions
Plug the oven into a properly grounded outlet to prevent possibility of electrical shock.
Never cut off the ground lug from the toaster’s power cord or use cheaters.
Do not use extension cords with this product.
Leave plenty of space around all sides of the oven for ventilation
Do not place anything on top of the oven.
This product is designed for countertop use, do not use this product for “built in” applications.
All surfaces of the oven will get very hot to the touch. Use caution when the oven is on.
Setup
When you first plug in the oven, it will say Version and then a number. The number is the
software version. When calling for service, the technician may ask you for this number.
Whenever power is lost and is restored, this phrase will be announced.
Keypad layout

There are 5 rows of buttons. For rows 5 Mode, 4 Temperature, 3 Cook time and 1 Volume, there
is a special feature. If you press any of these buttons momentarily, the oven will announce the
current setting. If you momentarily press the button again within 5 seconds, the setting will
change. After 5 seconds has elapsed, if you press the button again momentarily it announces the
current setting. If you press and hold down and of these keys (in rows 5,4,3, and 1) the settings
will auto increment or auto decrement depending on which key is pressed. All left hand keys are
“up” keys and all right hand keys are “down” keys.
Before using the oven, set the volume level. Locate the lower most set of keys. They are labeled
“volume up” and “volume down”. Use these keys to set a volume level that is comfortable for
you. Once you set the volume you won’t need to press these keys again unless there is a power
outage.
The TTO-1 was designed to be as user friendly as possible. Remember this when setting the
oven to cook, TOP DOWN. Set each function from the top row keys down. You must set from
the TOP DOWN, mode, temperature and cook time before pressing the start button.
Always wait for the oven to finish talking before pressing other buttons, except in the case of
auto increment or decremant functions.
Note- You cannot change the mode, temperature or cook time once the oven is running. You
must first press the stop button. If you press the stop button twice in a row, the cook time will be
reset to 0.
You must always set a cook time when cooking. Having the oven on for an unlimited amount of
time is not permitted.
If when you press a button, you hear a “ding” sound, this means that key is not available in
current oven’s state.
The TTO-1 will announce the temperature one time once the oven has reached the cooking
temperature that you set.
When the oven finishes a cook cycle or a timer cycle, it will chime 3 times, pause for 10 seconds
and chime again 3 times. Press the stop button to cancel this reminder after the first annunciation.
The Convection fan only operates during the bake mode. It can be turned off. See “Convection
bake vs bake” below.
If the oven fails to operate after being left in very cold environments (below freezing) let the
oven warm up to room temperature or at least above freezing before using it.
If the oven announces “error” followed by a number, unplug the oven wait for 1 minute then
plug it back in. If it still announces and error call ETS for service.

Mode keys
These keys set one of 5 available modes. 1 Bake, 2 Broil, 3 Toast, 4 Warm and 5 Timer. Note-
whenever you change modes, the cook time will be reset to 0 and the temperatures will be set to
their lowest corresponding levels.
Temperature Keys
These keys set the different temperatures available for the different modes.
The range of temperatures for all the oven modes are as follows:
1. Bake 200 to 450 degrees F in 25 degree steps.
2. Broil 250 to 450 degrees F in 100 degree steps.
3. Toast 250 to 450 degrees F in 100 degree steps.
4. Warm 125 to 175 degrees F in 25 degree steps.
5. Timer NOT APPLICABLE.
Note- in the timer mode, temperature cannot be set. You will hear a “ding” sound to indicate the
setting is not available.
Time Keys
These keys set the cook time. Note- you cannot start the oven unless you set a cook time. The
cook time is set as follows:
0-60 min in 5 minute increments
1hr to 4hrs in 15 minute increments.
If your recipe calls for a longer time than offered, set the oven to the next highest time and lower
the temperature by 25 degrees or more. Or alternatively, set the oven for two cook cycles.
Start key
If you have set the mode, temperature and time correctly and press this button, the oven will
announce the cook mode, temperature, cook time and then say “toaster oven on”. It will then turn
on the heaters inside the oven.
If you press the start key During a cook cycle, the oven will announce the remaining cook time.
If cook time has not been set or there is no time remaining and the start button is pressed, the
oven will announce “cook time not set, set cook time”.

Stop Key
You can pause a cook cycle by pressing this key once. The oven will announce “toaster oven
off” and the time remaining. In the pause mode, you cannot change the cook mode, cook time,
temperature. You will hear a “ding” sound if you press any of these buttons during pause. If you
press the stop button again the cook time will be reset to 0 and cook mode, temperature and time
can then be changed.
Volume keys
There are 8 volume levels available on the TTO-1. 8 is the loudest and 1 is the quiet. If power is
lost the level will automatically be set to 3. Adjust the volume to a level that is comfortable to
you.
Bake / Convection bake
From the factory, the oven is set to have the convection fan running when baking foods. This fan
circulates warm air around the food speeding up cooking time and heating the food more evenly.
You can turn on and off the convection fan. To change the fan mode, press and hold the stop
button for 7 seconds. The oven will announce the opposite of whatever it is currently set at. Press
and hold the off button again for 7 seconds to toggle the setting. It is advised that you set the
cook temperature of the oven 25 degrees lower than your recipe calls for when using convection
baking. Use the lower rack of the oven for baking.
Broil and toast modes
In the Broil and toast modes, the goal is to brown the item being cooked. This achieved by a
combination of temperature and time. Some experimentation will be required to determine what
combinations work best. Use the upper rack of the oven for broiling.
Frozen foods
It’s advised to cook frozen or cold foods longer at a lower temperature until the food is thawed.
Then increase the temperature to finish cooking.
Pre-heat
For best results in bake, broil and toast modes, you may want to pre-heat the oven before putting
food inside of it.
