3. WiFi Module Installation
Except for EMV400S FHD, the way to install WiFi module onto all the Mobile
DVRs is the same.
Note: EMV400S FHD does not feature an I/O board inside the Mobile DVR. We
will introduce how to install WiFi module onto EMV400S FHD separately.
Please refer to 4. WiFi Module Installation on EMV400S FHD.
Here we take EMV1200 HD as an example:
1. Remove the housing cover from the mobile DVR.
To remove the cover, unscrew the 7 screws (front/rear/left/right-side).
2. Find the I/O board inside the mobile DVR.

3. Screw the Metal Plate onto the I/O board.
a. Screw the 2 Copper Pillars onto the pillars on the I/O board.
b. Screw the Metal Plate onto the Copper Pillars using the supplied 2 Pillar
Screws.

4. Screw the 5G WiFi Module onto the Metal Plate using the supplied 4
Module Screws.

5. Use the Module Cable to connect the 5G WiFi Module to the I/O board.

6. Connect the WiFi Antenna to the 5G WiFi Module.
a. Connect one end of the RF Cablesto the 5G WiFi Module.

b. On the rear-panel of the mobile DVR, remove the WiFi Antenna Plugs
(Ant.2 and Ant.4). Please refer to Appendix for WiFi Antenna Plugs on
different models.

c. Insert the other end of RF Cables through both of the antenna holes
(Ant.2 and Ant.4), and then screw the RF Cables using the supplied Rings
and Hexagon Nuts.

d. Screw the WiFi Antenna to the RF Cables (Ant.2 and Ant.4).
7. Screw back the housing cover.

4. WiFi Module Installation on EMV400S FHD
1. Unscrew the four screws on the rear-panel. Pull out the Main Board from
the housing.
2. Screw the Metal Plate onto the Pillars on the Main Board.
a. Find the 2 Pillars on the Main Board and then place the 2 Plastic Spacers
on the 2 Pillars.

b. Screw the Metal Plate onto the Pillars using the supplied 2 Pillar Screws.

3. Screw the 5G WiFi Module onto the Metal Plate using the supplied 3
Module Screws.

4. Use the Module Cable to connect the 5G WiFi Module to the Main Board.

5. Connect the WiFi Antenna to the 5G WiFi Module.
a. Connect one end of the RF Cablesto the 5G WiFi Module.

b. On the rear-panel of the mobile DVR, remove the WiFi Antenna Plugs
(Ant.2 and Ant.3).
c. Insert the other end of RF Cables through both of the antenna holes
(Ant.2 and Ant.3), and then screw the RF Cables using the supplied Rings
and Hexagon Nuts.

d. Screw the WiFi Antenna to the RF Cables (Ant.2 and Ant.3).
6. Slide the Main Board to the housing and then screw back the four screws.
