1. Workareasafety

2. Electricalsafety
a) Powertoolplugsmustmatchtheoutlet.Nevermodifytheplugin
anyway.Donotuseanyadapterplugswithearthed(grounded)
powertools. Unmodifiedplugsandmatchingoutletswillreduceriskof
electricshock.
b) Avoidbodycontactwithearthedorgroundedsurfaces,suchas
pipes,radiators,rangesandrefrigerators. Thereisanincreasedrisk
ofelectricshockifyourbodyisearthedorgrounded.
c) Donotexposepowertoolstorainorwetconditions. Waterentering
apowertoolwillincreasetheriskofelectricshock.

inattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmayresultinseriouspersonal
injury.
b) Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.
Protectiveequipmentsuchasadustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hard
hatorhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreduce
personalinjuries.
c) Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisinthe
off-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/orbattery
pack,pickinguporcarryingthetool. Carryingpowertoolswithyour
fingerontheswitchorenergisingpowertoolsthathavetheswitchon
invitesaccidents.
d) Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertool
on. Awrenchorakeyleftattachedtoarotatingpartofthepowertool
mayresultinpersonalinjury.
e) Donotoverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.
Thisenablesbettercontrolofthepowertoolinunexpectedsituations.

4. Powertooluseandcare

a) Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyour
application. Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferat
therateforwhichitwasdesigned.
b) Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonandoff.
Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchisdangerous
andmustberepaired.
c) Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourceand/orremovethe
batterypack,ifdetachable,fromthepowertoolbeforemakingany
adjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringpowertools. Such
preventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthepowertool
accidentally.
d) Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildrenanddonotallow
personsunfamiliarwiththepowertoolortheseinstructionsto
operatethepowertool. Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsof
untrainedusers.
e) Maintainpowertoolsandaccessories.Checkformisalignmentor
bindingofmovingparts,breakageofpartsandanyother
conditionthatmayaffectthepowertool soperation.Ifdamaged,
havethepowertoolrepairedbeforeuse. Manyaccidentsarecaused
bypoorlymaintainedpowertools.
f) Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean. Properlymaintainedcuttingtools

g) Usethepowertool,accessoriesandtoolbitsetc.inaccordance
withtheseinstructions,takingintoaccounttheworking
conditionsandtheworktobeperformed. Useofthepowertoolfor

h) Keephandlesandgraspingsurfacesdry,cleanandfreefromoil
andgrease. Slipperyhandlesandgraspingsurfacesdonotallowfor
safehandlingandcontrolofthetoolinunexpectedsituations.
5. Batterytooluseandcare
a) Rechargeonlywiththechargerspecifiedbythemanufacturer. A
chargerthatissuitableforonetypeofbatterypackmaycreateariskof
firewhenusedwithanotherbatterypack.
b) Usepowertoolsonlywithspecificallydesignatedbatterypacks.
Useofanyotherbatterypacksmaycreateariskofinjuryandfire.
c) Whenbatterypackisnotinuse,keepitawayfromothermetal
objects,likepaperclips,coins,keys,nails,screwsorothersmall
metalobjects,thatcanmakeaconnectionfromoneterminalto
another. Shortingthebatteryterminalstogethermaycauseburnsora
fire.
d) Underabusiveconditions,liquidmaybeejectedfromthebattery;
avoidcontact.Ifcontactaccidentallyoccurs,flushwithwater.If

liquidcontactseyes,additionallyseekmedicalhelp. Liquidejected
fromthebatterymaycauseirritationorburns.
e) Donotuseabatterypackortoolthatisdamagedormodified.
Damagedormodifiedbatteriesmayexhibitunpredictablebehaviour
resultinginfire,explosionorriskofinjury.
f) Donotexposeabatterypackortooltofireorexcessive
temperature. Exposuretofireortemperatureabove130 °Cmaycause
explosion.
NOTE Thetemperature „130 °C“canbereplacedbythetemperature
„265 °F“.
g) Followallcharginginstructionsanddonotchargethebattery
packortooloutsidethetemperaturerangespecifiedinthe
instructions. Chargingimproperlyorattemperaturesoutsidethe
specifiedrangemaydamagethebatteryandincreasetheriskoffire.
6. Service
a) Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualifiedrepairpersonusing
onlyidenticalreplacementparts. Thiswillensurethatthesafetyof
thepowertoolismaintained.
b) Neverservicedamagedbatterypacks. Serviceofbatterypacks
shouldonlybeperformedbythemanufacturerorauthorizedservice
providers.
SAFETYINSTRUCTIONSFORTACKERS
Securetheworkpiece(aworkpiececlampedwithclampingdevicesorina
viceisheldmoresecurelythanbyhand).
Neverpushinthetackerheadmanually4(thereisdangerofinjurywhenat
thesametimethetriggerisactivatedunintentionally).
Neverusethetoolforfasteningelectricalwiring(contactwithelectricalwires
canleadtofireandelectricshock).
Avoiddamagethatcanbecausedbyscrews,nailsandotherelementsin
yourworkpiece;removethembeforeyoustartworking.
Incaseofelectricalormechanicalmalfunction,immediatelyswitchoffthe
tool.
Wecanassureflawlessfunctioningofthetoolonlywhenoriginal
accessoriesareused.
Thistoolshouldnotbeusedbypeopleundertheageof16years.

•Toensurethelongestbatterylifeandbestbatteryperformance,always
chargethebatterywhenthetemperatureisbetween18-24°C.Donot
chargethebatterypackwhenthetemperatureisbelow0°C,orabove40°C.
Thisisimportant.Failuretoobservethissafetyrulecouldcauseserious
damagetothebatterypack.
•Donotincineratethebatterypackevenifitisseriouslydamagedorcanno
longerholdacharge.Thebatterypackcanexplodeinafire.
•Asmallleakageofliquidfromthebatterypackmayoccurunderextreme
usageortemperature.Thisdoesnotnecessarilyindicateafailureofthe
batterypack.However,iftheoutersealisbrokenandthisleakagecomes
intocontactwithyourskin:
üWashtheaffectedareaquicklywithsoapandwater.
üFlushyoureyeswithcleanwaterforaminimumof10minutesand
seekimmediatemedicalattention.
•Neverattempttoopenthebatterypackforanyreason.Iftheplastic
housingofthebatterypackbreaksopenorcracks,immediately
discontinueitsuseanddonotrechargeit.
•Donotstoreorcarryasparebatterypackinapocketortoolboxorany
otherplacewhereitmaycomeintocontactwithmetalobjects.Thebattery
packmaybeshortcircuitedcausingdamagetothebatterypack,burnsor
afire.Ifstoringordisposingthebatterypack,covertheterminalswitha
heavyinsulationtapetoensureshortcircuitcannotoccur.Batteries,when
storedforalongperiodoftime,willdischarge.
•Donotstoreorusethetoolandbatterypackinlocationswherethe

structuresinthesummer.
•Allowthebatterypacktocooldownaftercharging.Donotplaceitinahot
environmentsuchasametalshedoropentrailerleftinthesun.
•Onlychargethebatterywiththechargersupplied.
•Donotplacethebatterynearafireorinaplacewherethetemperatureis
high.
•Donotimmersethetoolinwateroranyotherliquid.Thiscandamagethe
batteryprematurely.
•Whentransportingbatteries,makesuretheircontactsareprotectedand
properlyinsulatedmaterialsthatmaycomeintocontactwiththemand
causeashortcircuit.
•Storetheminacool,dryplace,awayfromdirectsunlightandexcessively
coldorhottemperatures.
•Afterprolongedperiodofdisuseofthebattery,rechargeitbeforeusingit.

fromthetoolwhenconvenientforyouandyourjob.Youcan “top-off”your
batterypack’schargebeforestartingabigjoborlongperiodofuse.
Duetolithium-ion’sfade-freeproperties,theonlytimeitisnecessarytocharge
thelithium-ionbatterypackiswhenthepackhasreachedtheendofitscharge.
Tosignaltheendofcharge,powertothetoolwilldropquickly.Chargethe
batterypackasneeded.
