cablesaredisconnectedandthebatterycharger
usedforchargingthebatteryhasanoutputof
16voltsand7ampsorlesstoavoiddamaging

Note:Iftimedoesnotpermitchargingthebattery,
orifchargingequipmentisnotavailable,connect
thenegativebatterycablesandrunthevehicle
continuouslyfor20to30minutestosufciently
chargethebattery.
PositioningtheDischargeChute
Loosenthetwo3/8inchnylocnutsattachingthe
dischargechute.Lowerthedischargechuteinto
position.Retightenthenylocnutsuntilthechuteissnug
butcanpivotfreely.

ServicingtheEngineCoolant
Themachineisshippedlledwithenginecoolant.
WARNING
Dischargeofhotpressurizedcoolantor
touchinghotradiatorandsurroundingparts
cancausesevereburns.
•DoNotremovetheradiatorcapwhenthe
engineishot.Alwaysallowtheengineto
coolatleast15minutesoruntiltheradiator
capiscoolenoughtotouchwithoutburning
yourhandbeforeremovingtheradiatorcap.
•DoNottouchradiatorandsurrounding
partsthatarehot.

coolantcancausepoisoning.
•DoNotswallowenginecoolant.
•Keepoutofreachfromchildrenandpets.
Withcoolengine,checkthatcoolantlevelisuptothe
indicatorlineontheoverowbottle.Ifnot,add50/50
coolantmixtooverowbottletobringthelevelupto
theindicatorline.Alsocheckcoolantlevelinradiator.
Fillitashighaspossiblewith50/50coolantmix.
Note:UnitsshouldonlybelledwithDexCool©
extendedlifecoolant,whichcanbeidentiedbyits
orangecolor.
ServicingtheHydraulicOil
Themachineisshippedlledwithhydraulicoilinthe
reservoir.
1.Checkhydraulicreservoirandifnecessarylltothe
appropriatelevelwithExmarkPremiumHydroOil.
2.Adjusttheseattothemostforwardpositionto
accessthecapsontheLHandRHhydrodrives.
3.Removethecap,wipethedipstickclean,andre-insert
thecapbackintothehydro.Looselytightenthecap.
4.Removethecapagainandchecktheleveloftheoil
onthedipstick.SeeFigure2foroillevels.
