2. Locate a 5V USB port near the centre of the vessel.
Note: Power banks will not power the Core.
3. Switch on 1 x OLAS Tag (or switch on OLAS within the
OLAS Float-On).
4. Plug in the power to the Core.
5. Hold the OLAS tag within 1 metre of the Core. 6. Wait for 30 seconds and listen for the indication sound. After 30
seconds 1 beep will be heard to indicate 1 OLAS transmitter is
being tracked.

7. Open the OLAS App 8. Connect to the Core
9. Select the ID number which relates to your Core, this is located on
the side of the Core box
10. Follow the setup instructions to the OLAS app home page
11. Check that the tag displayed on the app screen has the same ID
number as the tag you are testing with. The tags ID number can be
found on the underside of the tag.
12. Leave the Core in its location and either walk with your mobile
device or place it in a location that you will be able to hear the
alert. A suggested location is the helm.

13. Walk around your vessel with the tag, listening out for the alarm
to sound from the Core or the mobile device.
14. If no alarm sounds return to the Core and check that the control
switch is illuminated red. Solid red indicates that the Core is
tracking correctly.
15. If you have other OLAS transmitters to track these can now be
added to the system. Ensure all OLAS transmitters are switched on
and transmitting and place them all within 1 metre of the Core.
16. Press the + icon in the OLAS App.
17. After a 10 second scan the new OLAS transmitter will appear on
the home screen.
