Please read this user manual carefully before you start up your appliance for the
first time. It contains important safety instructions and information concerning
the installation, operation and maintenance of the appliance. Correct handling
will contribute to efficient use and will minimise energy consumption during
operation.
Improper use could lead to dangerous situations, particularly for children. Keep
this user manual for later use. Pass it on to any future owner of this product. In
case of doubt concerning questions or topics, which are not dealt with in detail in

1.2 General safety
instructions
•Avoid injuries and damage by
transporting the equipment only
when it is packed.
•Install and connect the appliance
only in accordance with the user
manual. The plug must be
accessible after the appliance is
installed. In the event of an
emergency, unplug the
appliance immediately.

Do not touch the plug or the power
supply cable with wet or damp
hands when you are connecting or
removing them.

•After the packaging is removed,
check that all components of the
appliance and the accessories
were supplied. In cases of doubt
do not use the appliance and
contact a qualified technician.

This equipment is not intended for
use by persons (including children)

•Never operate the appliance if
parts are damaged or are
missing. Otherwise there can be
significant danger of an accident.
•Have repairs carried out
exclusively by qualified
personnel. Contact the
responsible service partner of the
country in this case.
1.3 Safety of children

The equipment must be kept beyond
the reach of animals, children or
people, who cannot use it without
supervision.
Do not leave the equipment
unsupervised, if it is connected to a
power source.
Take the necessary precautionary
measures to prevent children from
playing with the equipment.
•This equipment can be used by
children aged eight years and
older or by people with physical,
sensory or mental restrictions or
who lack experience as well as
knowledge, if they are properly
supervised or if they have
received instructions concerning
safe use of the equipment and
understand the dangers involved.
•Cleaning and maintenance, which
must be performed by the user,
may not be carried out by
children, if they are not
supervised.
•Children may not play with the
equipment.
•Do not allow the equipment to be
cleaned by children unless they
are above eight years of age and
are supervised. Never immerse
the equipment in water or other
liquids under any circumstances.

food such as vegetables and meat in
enclosed spaces. It is intended
exclusively for private use.

WARNING
HOT SURFACE!
DANGER OF BURNS!
During operation the temperature of
the touchable surface can be very
high. Touch the appliance only on
the handle and on the switches.
WARNING
FIRE RISK!
Oil and fat preparations can burn
during overheating. Keep a
sufficiently safe distance (30 cm)
away from highly flammable items
such as furniture, curtains etc.
•Place the equipment on an even
surface that is resistant to heat
and moisture. The surface should
be easy to clean, since splashes
are unavoidable. Place a heat-
resistant plate under the device
on delicate surfaces.
•Do not operate the appliance
under hanging cabinets because
of rising heat and steam.
•Do not move the appliance if it is
in operation.
While the appliance is in use make
certain that the mains cable does
not come into contact with hot parts
of the equipment

Hot steam escapes during the
grilling process and when the upper
griddle is opened.

4Before using your
device for the first time
Take the appliance out of its
packaging and examine it for
possible transport damage.
Remove all packing material,
such as foils, wadding, cable
holders and cardboard
packaging.
Check that the scope of delivery
is complete.
Do not operate the appliance if
the contents of the package can
be determined to be incomplete
or damaged. Return the
appliance immediately to the
dealer or contact customer
service.
PLEASE NOTE
There could still be dust or
production residue on the device.
Therefore, clean the appliance as
described under "Cleaning".
Contact our customer service in the
event of a defective mains cable.
ATTENTION
This appliance is not intended to be
immersed in water while it is being
cleaned. Please pay attention to the
instructions in the chapter entitled
"Cleaning".
ATTENTION
Avoid damage to the grill surfaces
that have a non-stick coating.
•Only use spatulas or turners
that are made from wood or
Teflon.
•Do not work with pointed
items (e. g. knives or forks)
on the grill surface or leave
scratches on the grill surface.
•Do not use any implements
made from plastic. They can
melt.
•The upper griddleis equipped
with on equalizing joint. This
facilitates optimal contact for
the upper griddle with the food
being grilled.
•The upper griddle can be
opened to an angle of 180°.
This doubles the grilling
surface and the equipment is
suitable for use as a table grill.
•The non-stick grill surfaces
facilitate grease-free
preparation of your meals.
•When using oil, only oil that
can be heated to a high
temperature, such as
sunflower oil, is suitable. Do
not use olive oil or butter since
these fats already develop
smoke at low temperatures.
Electrical connection
Altogether the equipment can accept
power of 2,000 watts. With this
connected, it is recommended that
you load a separate line with fuse
protection by means of a 16-amp
protective household switch.
Preparing the contact grill for
the first time it's used
1. Clean the griddles as
described under "Cleaning".
2. Snap the contact grill shut. Use
the grease drip tray (11) at the
back of the grill.
3. Operate the appliance with
closed griddles for approx. 10
minutes without food (see
"Operation"). Set the
temperature regulator to the MAX
position.
4. Pull the power supply plug out
of the socket.
5. Allow the device to cool down
completely.
6. Wipe the grill surfaces with a
damp cloth.

Now the equipment is ready for
use.
PLEASE NOTE
Slight development of smoke is
normal. Provide for sufficient
ventilation.
ATTENTION
OVERLOAD
Do not use any extension lines or
multiple plug sockets since this
equipment is too powerful.
•Check the mains voltage with
that of the equipment first and
afterwards insert the mains
cable into the socket. The
information is on the type plate.
•Connect the appliance only to a
properly installed, earthed
socket.
5Operation
Select the function before grilling.
Contact grill (closed) or table grill
(opened).
Contact grill
1. Insert the plug into the socket.
The red control light will come
on.
2. Set the temperature regulator
to the MAX position. The
appliance will heat up.
3. Open the appliance with the
handle. Place the upper
griddle in a vertical position.
4. Put the food to be grilled on
the lower griddle.
5. Slowly close the upper
griddle.
6. Set the desired grilling
duration with the timer (5).
The green control light (7)
lights up.
7. If the grilling time is over, a
short audio signal will sound.
8. If the grilled food has reached
the desired stage, open the
device with the handle.
WARNING
DANGER OF SCALDING!
Hot steam escapes.
REFERENCE
Heating-up time amounts to approx.
5 minutes.
Table grill
1. Lift the upper griddle by the
handle and push the release
(4) upward at the same time.
2. Operate the appliance as
described before (without
points 3, 5 and 8).
3. Prepare foods as you do on
any other grill. Turn the food
as required.
ATTENTION
Guide the mains cables laterally under
the equipment so that it does not
come into contact with the hot upper
griddle.
Length of grilling time
The time spent grilling depends on the
condition and the thickness of the
food to be grilled. For information see
Table 1.

REFERENCE
When the grilled food is cooked will
be shown by its core temperature.
The use of a roasting thermometer
is recommended. With a roasting
thermometer you can monitor the
core temperature of the meat. It is
not necessarily to cut the grilled
food.
Ending the operation
1. Set the temperature regulator
(6) to the 0position.
2. Pull the power plug out.
3. The power indicator light will
go out.

Cleaning the griddles
Loosen the griddles to clean
them
The griddles can be removed for
cleaning.
1. Push the release sliders (4 +
9) for the two griddles in the
direction of the arrow.
2. Remove the griddles.
3. Clean the griddles with a
slightly damp sponge or a
cloth with warm water.
4. Dry the griddles with a cloth.
5. Replace the griddles.
6. Push the release sliders in the
direction of the arrow and
hold.
7. Press lightly on the griddle
and release the sliders again.
Grease drip tray
1. Pull the grease drip dray out.
Dispose of the contents.
2. Clean the grease drip tray in
a warm rinsing bath and
leave it to dry.
3. Re-attach the grease drip tray
to the grill.
Housing
Clean the housing after use with a
slightly damp cloth.
Storage
•Only put the equipment away
when it has cooled down and is
in a clean state.
•Store the device in its original
package if it is not being used
for an extended period of time.
•Always keep the device out of
the reach of children.
•Always store the device in a
well-ventilated, dry place.

9Altgeräteentsorgung
Dieses Produkt wird gemäß der europäischen Abfallrahmenrichtlinie
2012/ 19/EU gekennzeichnet. Die Richtlinie regelt die richtige
Entsorgung des Produkts. Die umweltgerechte Entsorgung wird
mögliche negative Folgen für die Gesundheit verhindern, die durch eine
falsche Entsorgung verursacht werden. Das Symbol auf dem Produkt

10 Garantiebedingungen
Die nachstehenden Bedingungen, die Voraussetzungen und Umfang unserer
Garantieleistung beschreiben, lassen das Gewährleistungsrecht des
Endabnehmers unberührt.
Für dieses Gerät leisten wir Garantie gemäß nachstehenden
Bedingungen:
•Als Käufer eines Exquisit – Gerätes haben Sie eine
Herstellergarantie (2 Jahre ab Kaufdatum).
•Während dieser Garantiezeit haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Ihre
Ansprüche direkt in der Serviceplattform des Herstellers unter
www.ggv-service.de
gelten zu machen.
Beim Abschluss einer zusätzlichen Garantie zwischen Ihnen und Ihrem Händler
sind jegliche Ansprüche nach Ablauf der 24-monatigen Herstellergarantie
ausgeschlossen. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall direkt an Ihrem Händler.
Leistungsdauer
Die Garantie läuft 24 Monate ab Kaufdatum (Kaufbeleg ist vorzulegen). Während
den ersten 6 Monaten werden Mängel am Gerät unentgeltlich beseitigt,
Voraussetzung ist, dass das Gerät ohne besonderen Aufwand für Reparaturen
zugänglich ist. In den weiteren 18 Monaten ist der Käufer verpflichtet
nachzuweisen, dass der Mangel bereits bei Lieferung bestand.

Bei gewerblicher Nutzung (z.B. in Hotels, Kantinen), oder bei
Gemeinschaftsnutzung durch mehrere Haushalte, beträgt die Garantie 12 Monate
ab Kaufdatum (Kaufbeleg ist vorzulegen). Während den ersten 6 Monaten
werden Mängel am Gerät unentgeltlich beseitigt, Voraussetzung ist, dass das
Gerät ohne besonderen Aufwand für Reparaturen zugänglich ist. In den weiteren
6 Monaten ist der Käufer verpflichtet nachzuweisen, dass der Mangel bereits bei
Lieferung bestand.
Durch die Inanspruchnahme der Garantie verlängert sich die Garantie weder für
das Gerät, noch für die neu eingebauten Teile.
Umfang der Mängelbeseitigung
Innerhalb der genannten Fristen beseitigen wir alle Mängel am Gerät, die
nachweisbar auf mangelhafte Ausführung oder Materialfehler zurückzuführen
sind. Ausgewechselte Teile gehen in unser Eigentum über.
Ausgeschlossen sind:
Normale Abnutzung, vorsätzliche oder fahrlässige Beschädigung, Schäden, die
durch Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung, unsachgemäße Aufstellung,
bzw. Installation oder durch Anschluss an falsche Netzspannung entstehen,
Schäden, aufgrund von chemischer, bzw. elektrothermischer Einwirkung oder
durch sonstige anormale Umweltbedingungen, Glas-, Lack- oder Emaille Schäden
und evtl. Farbunterschiede sowie defekte Glühlampen.
Ebenso sind Mängel am Gerät ausgeschlossen, wenn die aufgrund von
Transportschäden zurückzuführen sind. Wir erbringen auch dann keine
Leistungen, wenn – ohne unsere besondere, schriftliche Genehmigung – von
nicht ermächtigten Personen am Exquisit-Gerät Arbeiten vorgenommen oder
Teile fremder Herkunft verwendet wurden. Diese Einschränkung gilt nicht für
mangelfreie, durch einen qualifizierten Fachmann mit unseren Originalteilen,
durchgeführte Arbeiten zur Anpassung des Gerätes an die technischen
Schutzvorschriften eines anderen EU-Landes.
Geltungsbereich
Unsere Garantie gilt für Geräte, die in einem EU-Land erworben wurden und die
in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland oder Österreich in Betrieb sind.
Für Geräte, die in einem EU-Land erworben und in ein anderes EU-Land gebracht
wurden, werden Leistungen im Rahmen der jeweils landesüblichen
Garantiebedingungen erbracht. Eine Verpflichtung zur Leistung der Garantie
besteht nur dann, wenn das Gerät den technischen Vorschriften des Landes, in
dem der Garantieanspruch geltend gemacht wird, entspricht.
Für Reparaturaufträge ausserhalb der Garantiezeit gilt:
Wird ein Gerät repariert, sind die Reparaturrechnungen sofort fällig und ohne
Abzug zu bezahlen.
•Wird ein Gerät überprüft, bzw. eine angefangene Reparatur nicht zu Ende
geführt, werden Anfahrt- und Arbeitspauschalen berechnet.
•Die Beratung durch unser Kundenberatungszentrum ist unentgeltlich
