WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN
Lesen Sie aufmerksam die Gebrauchsanleitung,
bevor Sie Ihr Gerät benutzen, und befolgen Sie
immer die Sicherheitsvorschriften und die
Gebrauchsanweisung.
Wichtig: Das Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren
und von Personen mit einer körperlichen,
sensorischen, geistigen oder motorischen
Behinderung oder einem Mangel an Erfahrung und
Kenntnissen verwendet werden, sofern diese
Personen beaufsichtigt oder über den sicheren
Gebrauch des Geräts unterrichtet wurden und die
damit verbundenen Gefahren verstanden haben.
Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht
durch Kinder durchgeführt werden, es sei denn, sie
sind älter als 8 Jahre und beaufsichtigt. Lassen Sie
Ihr Gerät und sein Netzkabel nie unbeaufsichtigt
und in Reichweite von Kindern jünger als 8 Jahre
oder unverantwortlichen Personen, besonders
wenn es an der Steckdose hängt oder wenn es
abkühlt.
Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Netzspannung mit der
auf dem Gerät vermerkten Spannung
übereinstimmt, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.
Lassen Sie Ihr Gerät niemals beim Gebrauch
unbeaufsichtigt.

Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass das Gerät nicht
beschädigt ist. Bei Beschädigung der
Anschlussleitung oder des Gerätes, letzteres
nicht benutzen, sondern von einem Elektro-
Fachmann(*) überprüfen bzw. reparieren lassen.
Eine beschädigte Anschlussleitung muss von
einem Elektrofachmann(*) ausgewechselt
werden, damit jede Gefahr gemieden wird.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur zu
Haushaltszwecken, wie in der
Bedienungsanleitung angegeben.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder
andere Flüssigkeiten, weder zum Reinigen, noch
zu einem anderen Zweck. Geben Sie das Gerät
niemals in die Spülmaschine. Sonst kann das
Gerät beschädigt werden.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer
Wärmequelle.
Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose,
bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen um Elektroschocks
zu vermeiden.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien und
bewahren Sie es an einem trockenen Platz auf.
Benutzen Sie nur Zubehör, welches vom
Lieferanten empfohlen wurde. Anderes Zubehör
stellt eine Gefahr für den Benutzer dar und das
Gerät könnte dadurch beschädigt werden.
Ziehen Sie niemals an der Anschlussleitung, um
das Gerät zu bewegen. Achten Sie darauf, dass

zufälligerweise die Anschlussleitung nicht
irgendwo hängen bleibt und dies zum Fall des
Gerätes führen könnte. Wickeln Sie die
Anschlussleitung nicht um das Gerät oder
knicken Sie sie nicht.
Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen Tisch oder auf
eine ebene Fläche, damit es nicht umfällt.
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät vollständig
erkaltet ist, bevor Sie es reinigen oder
wegräumen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlussleitung
nicht mit den heißen Teilen des Gerätes in
Kontakt kommt.
Während des Gebrauchs können zugängliche
Teile des Gerätes eine sehr hohe Temperatur
erreichen. Berühren Sie diese heißen Teile
nicht.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die heißen Teile
während des Backvorganges nicht mit leicht
entflammbarem Material, wie Gardinen,
Tischdecken, usw. in Berührung kommen.
Brandgefahr!
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Beschichtung nicht
abgekratzt wird, da ansonsten kleine Teile der
Beschichtung in die Nahrung gelangen.
Benutzen Sie einen Holzspatel oder einen
wärmebeständigen Plastikspatel, um die
Nahrung aus dem Gerät zu nehmen.

Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, wenn
das Gerät nicht benutzt wird, da das Gerät
keinen An-/Aus-Schalter besitzt.
Bereiten Sie nur Nahrungsmittel zu, die zum
Backen und zum Verzehr geeignet sind.
Ihr Gerät darf niemals über eine externe
Zeitschaltuhr oder irgendein anderes, separates
Fernbedienungssystem eingeschaltet werden.
Achtung: Wenn das Symbol auf einer
bestimmten Fläche des Gerätes angebracht
wurde, ist dies ein Warnhinweis. Dieses Symbol
bedeutet: ACHTUNG, diese Fläche kann
während des Gebrauches heiß werden.
Das Symbol wurde immer angebracht auf der
Oberfläche mit der höchsten Temperatur, aber
auch die anderen metallischen oder
nichtmetallischen Oberflächen können heiß
werden während des Gebrauches und es ist
deshalb ratsam, sie immer mit Vorsicht zu
handhaben und wenn möglich mit hitze-
beständigen Handschuhen oder einem anderen
Temperaturschutz. Im Zweifelsfall bezüglich der
Temperatur einer bestimmten Oberfläche ist es
immer vorzugswürdig, sich zu schützen.
(*) Elektrofachmann: anerkannter Kundendienst des
Lieferanten oder des Importeurs, der für derartige
Reparaturen zuständig ist. Für eventuelle

INBETRIEBNAHME
Während des ersten Gebrauchs entwickelt die Antihaftbeschichtung Qualm. Dieser Rauch
ist NICHT schädlich.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch sind die Platten mit einem feuchten Tuch zu reinigen. Die
Antihaft-Beschichtung der Platten macht das Einreiben mit Butter, Öl oder Fett nicht
unbedingt notwendig.
Schließen Sie das Gerät und stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose. Die rote
Kontrollleuchte wird aufleuchten und anzeigen, dass das Gerät funktioniert.
Bereiten Sie Ihren Toast während der Erhitzung des Sandwich-Toasters zu.
Die grüne Kontrollleuchte wird ebenfalls aufleuchten, sobald das Gerät die gewünschte
Temperatur erreicht hat. Während des Gebrauchs wird diese Kontrollleuchte regelmäßig
an- und ausgehen. Das bedeutet, dass die Betriebstemperatur geregelt wird.
Achtung! Während des Gebrauchs werden die Backplatten heiß. Berühren Sie sie nicht!
Öffnen Sie das aufgeheizte Gerät und legen Sie eine Scheibe Brot mit der gebutterten
Seite nach oben auf die untere Platte.
Füllen Sie den Toast.
Fügen Sie die obere Brotscheibe hinzu. Drücken Sie danach den Deckel nach unten.
Während des Toastvorganges tritt Dampf aus dem Gerät; achten Sie auf Ihre Finger.
Schließen Sie das Gerät mit dem Verschlussriegel.
Nach einer Röstzeit von ca. 3 bis 4 Minuten oder länger, je nach Ihrem Geschmack, sind
die Sandwich-Scheiben geröstet. Öffnen Sie das Gerät und entfernen Sie den Toast mit
einem Holz- oder Plastikspatel. Es dürfen keine metallenen Gegenstände verwendet
werden, da sonst die Antihaft-Beschichtung beschädigt wird.
Schließen Sie das geheizte Gerät bis Sie weitere Toasts rösten wollen.
Bereiten Sie weitere Toasts vor während die ersten geröstet werden.
Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose sobald Sie fertig sind. Lassen Sie das Gerät offen
um es abkühlen zu lassen.
TIPS FÜR EIN BESSERES ERGEBNIS
Das Gerät immer vorheizen. Schließen Sie das Gerät ans Netz an während Sie die Toasts
vorbereiten.
Gewürzte Butter kann auch benutzt werden.
Schmalz gibt Ihren Toasts mehr Geschmack. Reiben Sie die Außenseite des Brotes damit
ein.
PFLEGEHINWEISE
Gerät vom Netz trennen und das Gerät und die Platten abkühlen lassen bevor sie
gereinigt werden.
Wischen Sie die Außenseite mit einem feuchten Tuch ab, und vergewissern Sie sich dass
keine Feuchtigkeit, Öl oder Fett in das Gerät dringt.
Wischen Sie die Backplatten mit einem feuchten Tuch oder mit Küchenpapier.
Niemals mit metallenen Gegenständen reinigen oder Schleif- und Scheuermittel
verwenden.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.

bestimmten Regeln zu entsorgen. Dies fordert den Einsatz sowohl des Herstellers bzw.

Verpackung zeigt, nicht in den unsortierten Restmüll gegeben werden. Der Verbraucher hat
das Recht, dieses Gerät über kommunale Sammelstellen zu entsorgen; von dort aus wird die
spezifische Behandlung, Verwertung bzw. das Recycling gem. den Erfordernissen der Richtlinie

ist aus Sicht des Gebrauchswertes nicht möglich, da dies die Hauptfunktion des Produktes so

Sowohl Defekte an Verbrauchszubehör bzw. Verschleißteilen, als auch Reinigung, Wartung
oder der Austausch von Verschleißteilen, fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistung und sind

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before
using the appliance, and always follow the safety
and operating instructions.
Important: This appliance can be used by children
over 8 years old and people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of
experience or knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the safe use
of the appliance and the risks involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 years and supervised. Never
leave the appliance and its cord unsupervised and
within reach of children less than 8 years old or
irresponsible persons, especially when it is plugged
into the wall or when it is cooling down.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to
that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in
use.
From time to time check the appliance for
damages. Never use the appliance if cord or
appliance shows any signs of damage. In that
case, repairs should be made by a competent
qualified electrician(*). Should the cord be
damaged, it must be replaced by a competent

Only use the appliance for domestic purposes

Never immerse the appliance in water or any

place it into the dishwasher. Otherwise the

Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance
from the power supply to avoid electric shocks.
Never use the appliance outside and always
place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories which are not
recommended by the producer. They could
constitute a danger to the user and risk to
damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord.
Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any
way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance
and do not bend it.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
Make sure the appliance has cooled down before
cleaning and storing it.
Make sure the cord never comes into contact
with the hot parts of the appliance.
The temperature of the accessible surfaces
may be very high when the appliance is in

use. Make sure not to touch these hot parts of
the appliance.
Make sure the appliance never comes into
contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire
might occur.
Be careful not to scratch the special coating of
the baking plates, as you might get little pieces of
this coating into the food. Use a classical wooden
spatula or a heat-resistant plastic one.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in
use, especially since it is not equipped with an
on/off switch.
Only use the appliance for food that is supposed
to be cooked.
Your appliance must never be switched on
through an external timer or any kind of separate
remote control system.
Please note: Should the symbol be indicated
on a certain surface, you need to be careful when
handling the product. This symbol means:
CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during
use.
The symbol is always put on the surface with
the highest temperature, however the other
metallic or non-metallic surfaces can also
become very hot during use and it is therefore
advisable to always handle them with care and if
possible with the help of isothermal gloves or

other thermal protection. In case of doubt
concerning the temperature of a certain surface it
is always preferable to protect oneself.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales
department of the producer or importer or any
person who is qualified, approved and competent to
perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all
danger. In case of need you should return the
appliance to this electrician (www.ggv-service.de).
USE
Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time.
When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry. You
may season the plates with butter, margarine or cooking fat. Since the sandwich maker has
a non-stick surface, the use of butter or oil is optional.
Close the sandwich maker and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light will come
on to indicate that the appliance is switched on.
Prepare your sandwich while the unit is heating.
The green pilot light will come on as well when the cooking temperature is reached.
During use, this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the
thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature.
Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
Fully open the sandwich maker. Place a slice of bread in the bottom half with the
buttered side against the plate.
Fill the sandwich.
Add the top slice with the buttered side up and carefully close the toaster. Do not force
shut. Steam will be ejected from between the plates; make sure that fingers do not come
into contact with the steam.
Lock the two halves with the wire clip while toasting.
Your sandwich will be toasted in 3 to 4 minutes or longer to suit your taste. Open the
toaster and remove the sandwich using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal
knife as this may damage the non-stick coating.
Close the lid to preserve the heat until you are ready to toast the next sandwiches.
Prepare additional sandwiches if desired while the others are cooking.
Unplug the appliance when finished and leave it open to allow it to cool down.
HINTS FOR BEST RESULTS
Always preheat before use. Plug cord into power outlet while preparing the fillings.
Flavoured butter may also be used.
For additional flavour use bacon dripping. Brush drippings on the outside of the bread.

CLEANING
Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or
grease enters the cooling slots.
Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will
damage the finish.
Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT –DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the
rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.

We, GGV Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, hereby confirm that our product meets the
requirements of regulation 1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a
function to minimize the power consumption, which should according to regulation
1275/2008/EC put the product in off or standby mode after finishing the main function, but this
is practically impossible, as it would compromise the main function of the product so strongly,
that using the product would no longer be possible!
For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance
immediately after use.

For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the
legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted
for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to
intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear
and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if
attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held
responsible in case of accidents.
If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete
appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only

In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the
accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but
only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.
Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of
worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE
Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified
technician or a repair service.
The user manual is by simple request also available in electronic format from the after-sales
service.

notice.
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans
tout autre liquide ni pour son nettoyage ni pour
toute autre raison. Ne le mettez jamais au lave-
vaisselle. Sinon l’appareil pourrait être
endommagé.
N'utilisez pas l'appareil près de sources de
chaleur.
La prise doit être débranchée avant de nettoyer

surface particulière, il accentue la mise en garde
et signifie: ATTENTION, cette surface peut
devenir très chaude pendant l'utilisation.
Le symbole est toujours apposé sur la surface
dont la température est la plus élevée, cependant
les températures des autres surfaces métalliques
ou non peuvent aussi devenir très chaudes
pendant l'utilisation et il convient donc de
toujours les manipuler avec précaution et si
possible au moyen de gants isothermes ou
autres dispositifs de protection thermique. En cas
de doute sur la température d’une surface il sera
toujours préférable de se protéger.

UTILISATION
Lors de la première utilisation la couche antiadhésive produira de la fumée. Celle-ci n'est
pas nocive et s’estompera rapidement. Il est tout de même préconisé lors de la première
utilisation de laisser fonctionner votre appareil pendant une dizaine de minutes sans
nourriture.
Lorsque vous utilisez votre appareil pour la première fois, essuyez-le avec un chiffon
humide. Les plaques étant antiadhésives, l'utilisation de beurre est facultative mais vous
pouvez, si vous le souhaitez, les enduire de beurre, de margarine ou de toute autre graisse
de cuisson.
Fermez votre appareil et branchez la fiche de votre appareil dans la prise de courant. Le
témoin lumineux rouge s’allume, vous indiquant ainsi que l’appareil est sous tension.

Préparez vos croques pendant que l’appareil chauffe.
Lorsque la température est atteinte, le témoin lumineux vert s’allume aussi. Pendant
l'utilisation, ce témoin lumineux s'éteindra et se rallumera régulièrement. Cela signifie
simplement que le thermostat règle la température de l'appareil.
Attention: pendant l'utilisation, les plaques deviennent chaudes. Faites attention de ne
pas vous brûler.
Ouvrez entièrement l’appareil. Mettez une tranche de pain dans l’emplacement du bas
avec le côté beurré contre la plaque de cuisson.
Ajoutez la garniture.
Mettez la tranche de pain du haut avec le côté beurré au-dessus et fermez l'appareil.
Veillez à ne pas entrer en contact avec la vapeur qui s'échappera de votre croque-
monsieur.
Votre croque sera cuit en 3 à 4 minutes ou en plus de temps selon votre goût. Ouvrez
l’appareil et retirez le croque-monsieur à l’aide d’une spatule en bois ou en plastique.
N’utilisez jamais d'instruments en métal car ceux-ci pourraient endommager le
revêtement antiadhésif.
Refermez l’appareil afin de préserver la chaleur jusqu’à ce que vous remettiez d'autres
sandwichs.
Nous vous conseillons de préparer d’autres croque-monsieur pendant la cuisson des
premiers.
Dès que la cuisson est terminée, débranchez l'appareil et laissez-le ouvert afin que les
plaques refroidissent.
QUELQUES SUGGESTIONS POUR UN MEILLEUR RESULTAT
Préchauffez toujours l’appareil avant de l’employer. Branchez l’appareil pendant votre
préparation des croque-monsieur.
Vous pouvez également utiliser du beurre aromatisé.
Frottez du lard gras sur les tranches de pain qui rôtissent pour en accentuer le goût.
NETTOYAGE
Veuillez retirer la fiche de la prise de courant et attendre que l’appareil et les plaques
refroidissent totalement avant de les nettoyer.
Essuyez l’intérieur et les angles de l’appareil à l’aide de papier absorbant ou d’un chiffon
doux.
Essuyez l’extérieur de l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon légèrement humide, en vous assurant
que l'humidité, l’huile ou la graisse ne s’infiltre pas dans les aérations de refroidissement de
l’appareil.
Ne nettoyez jamais votre appareil (extérieur et intérieur) à l’aide de produits abrasifs car
cela abîmerait le revêtement.
N'immergez pas l'appareil dans l'eau ou tout autre liquide.
