The WARNING symbol indicates a potentially hazardous condition/situation. The warnings throughout this

WARNINGS!
Prior to assembly and use, read and follow all instructions, warnings, and labels. Following all instructions and
obeying all warnings before and during use is necessary for safe operation. For additional information, or to
obtain replacement copies of instructions, call 1-800-258-8503.
Do not cover or damage the warning label. Maintaining all labels in legible condition is required and is essential
for safe operation. If labels are missing, damaged, or become illegible, they must be replaced. A missing or
illegible label will fail to alert individuals of a procedure or hazardous operating conditions. For additional

Do not use the portable partition or its components for anything other than its intended purpose of
encouraging physical distancing.
Do not use the portable partition if it is damaged or unstable.
Securely anchor the base plates and wall brackets, if equipped, and keep anchored during use. Misused or
unanchored partition can fall over and cause serious injury or death.
Ensure all anchoring/mounting locations are substantial and of sound construction. Consult with a professional
contractor if you need assistance or additional information.
Before each use, check the portable partition for worn, loose, missing, unstable, or damaged parts. If you find
any of these conditions, do not use.
If vinyl panel is torn or otherwise breached, it must be replaced.
Do not use to support, attach, or hang planters, lights, decorations, clothing, fabrics, or other furnishings.
Do not play on, lean on, or hang on the portable partition.
Improper use of product could result in serious injury.
Ensure portable partition does not impede safety, security, or environmental systems.
Consult with a professional contractor or your Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) if you have any questions.

1. GETTING STARTED
1.1. Read this instruction manual in its entirety before use and follow all instructions before and during use.
1.2. Confirm that all components are present and inspect the shipment for damaged or missing parts. If
damaged or missing parts are noted, do not install or use the portable partition.
When planning for the installation, note that the portable partition is adjustable in heights of 4’, 5’,
6’, and 7’.
1.3. Before each use, check the portable partition for worn, loose, missing, unstable, or damaged parts. If
you find any of these conditions, do not use. Consult with a professional contractor if you need
assistance or additional information.
2. COMPONENTS
Typical system components are shown below (not to scale). Components may vary depending on configuration.

3. LABELS
The portable partition has warning and brand labels. Though always positioned on the base plate (FIG. 3.1),
labels may vary in placement, color, size, and written content.
Maintaining all labels in legible condition is required and is essential for safe operation. For replacement
copies, call 1-800-258-8503.

4. ASSEMBLE PANEL FRAME
4.1. The 36” and 48” panel tubes and vinyl panels come in a standard width of 72”. If trimming is needed to
obtain a narrower width, refer to ‘SECTION 8’ and complete steps 8.2 through 8.5 before proceeding to
next steps.
4.2. Insert one panel tube into the upper panel loop and one into the lower panel loop (FIG. 4.1). Ensure tubes
are inserted until flush with the ends of the panel loops.
4.3. The 36” and 48” assemble in the same way; however, orientation of angle tube supports differ for each size.
4.3.1. Orient the 48” angle tube supports so that the 1.9” dimension is the top (measured from the
edge of the angle tube support to the top of first hole) (FIG. 4.1, Detail B).
4.3.2. Orient the 36” angle tube supports so that the 11-1/4”dimension is the top (measured from the
edge of the angle tube support to center of second hole) (FIG 4.2).
4.4. Using the uppermost and lowermost holes in each angle tube support, bolt panel tubes to angle tube
supports using 4-each 5/16"-18 x 1" hex bolts and 4-each flat washers.
Hardware quantities reflect the configuration shown in FIG. 4.1; hardware quantities may vary
depending on your configuration.

5. BOLT PANEL FRAME TO BASE
5.1. Using 2-each 5/16"-18 X 1" hex bolts, 4-each flat washers (1 under each bolt and one under each nut), and
2-each nylon insert locknuts, bolt the panel frame to either a single or quad base (FIG. 5.1).
5.1.1. Single and quad bases have a series of adjustability holes to accommodate portable partition
heights of 4’, 5’, 6’, and 7’. Ensure that the proper holes are used to attain the desired height.
Always have 2 panel frame to base connection points per side.
5.2. If adding a second single or quad base, repeat the steps above for the other base. If adding a wall bracket,
proceed to ‘SECTION 6’.
Panel frames bolt to wall brackets and single and quad bases in the same manner.
5.3. Anchor base plates (see ‘SECTION 10’ for anchoring instructions).
Failure to anchor base plates immediately after assembly could result in a hazardous situation.
Securely anchor the base plates and keep anchored during use. Misused or unanchored partition
can fall over and cause serious injury or death.

6. ATTACH WALL BRACKET TO WALL
6.1. ATTACHING TO WOOD WALL STUDS
6.1.1. Bolt one side of the panel frame to a single base (see ‘SECTION 5’ for instructions).
6.1.2. Bolt the other side of the panel frame to the wall bracket (FIG. 6.1).
6.1.2.1. To determine the correct orientation of the wall bracket, match the angle tube
support positioning as described in ‘SECTION 4’, step 4.3.
6.1.3. Using 2-each 5/16"-18 X 1" hex bolts, 4-each flat washers (1 under each bolt and one under each
nut), and 2-each nylon insert locknuts, bolt panel frame to wall bracket using the uppermost and
lowermost holes (FIG. 6.1).
Always have 2 panel frame to wall bracket connection points.
6.1.4. Slide panel frame/wall bracket assembly to wall (FIG. 6.2), ensuring center line positioning on
a solid construction wall stud (FIG. 6.4). Level, and then mark the 3 locations (upper, middle,
and lower holes) where the wall bracket fasteners will be installed (FIG. 6.3).
6.1.5. Once the wall is marked, move panel frame/wall bracket assembly out of the way.
6.1.6. Remove wall bracket from panel frame (FIG. 6.3).
6.1.7. Drill marked locations.
6.1.8. Align holes in wall bracket over marked fastener locations.
6.1.9. Using 3-each 3/8" X 2.75" lag bolts (or equivalent), fasten wall bracket to center line on a
solid construction wall stud (FIG. 6.4).
If drilling lag bolt pilot holes in wall stud, follow lag bolt manufacturer’s instructions.
6.1.10. Tighten lag bolts securely.

6.2. ATTACHING TO CONCRETE WALL
Concrete wall must be 4” minimum thickness and of sound construction.
6.2.1. Bolt one side of the panel frame to a single base (see ‘SECTION 5’ for instructions).
6.2.2. Bolt the other side of the panel frame to wall bracket (FIG. 6.1). To determine the correct
orientation of the wall bracket, match the angle tube support positioning as described in
‘SECTION 4’, step 4.3.
6.2.3. Using 2-each 5/16"-18 X 1" hex bolts, 4-each flat washers (1 under each bolt and one under each
nut), and 2-each nylon insert locknuts, bolt panel frame to wall bracket using the uppermost and
lowermost holes (FIG. 6.1).
Always have 2 panel frame to wall bracket connection points.
6.2.4. Slide panel frame/wall bracket assembly to wall (FIG. 6.2). Level, and then mark the 3 locations
(upper, middle, and lower holes) where the wall bracket fasteners will be installed (FIG. 6.5).
6.2.5. Once the wall is marked, move panel frame/wall bracket assembly out of the way.
6.2.6. Remove wall bracket from panel frame (FIG. 6.3).
6.2.7. Using a masonry bit, drill marked locations in the concrete wall 3” deep.
A 3/8” drill bit is used for the Trubolt®Wedge anchors specified below. You may need a
different size bit for different anchors. Follow your concrete anchor manufacturer’s
instructions.
6.2.8. Align holes in wall bracket over drilled locations. Using 3-each 3/8" X 2.75" Red Head Trubolt®
Wedge Type Expansion Anchors (or equivalent), fasten wall bracket to wall (FIG. 6.5).
Follow concrete anchor manufacturer’s instructions.
6.2.9. Tighten anchor nuts securely.

7. ATTACH PANEL FRAME TO WALL BRACKET
7.1. Using 2-each 5/16"-18 X 1" hex bolts, 4-each flat washers (1 under each bolt and one under each nut), and
2-each nylon insert locknuts, reattach panel frame to wall bracket using the uppermost and lowermost
holes (FIG. 7.1).
Always have 2 panel frame to wall bracket connection points.
7.2. Tighten all fasteners securely.
7.3. Anchor base plates (see ‘SECTION 10’ for anchoring instructions).
Failure to anchor base plates immediately after assembly of panel frame to wall bracket could
result in a hazardous situation.
Securely anchor the base plates and wall brackets and keep anchored during use. Misused or
unanchored partition can fall over and cause serious injury or death.

8. TRIM/CUT PANEL WIDTHS
8.1. The panel tubes and vinyl panel come in a standard width of 72”. If trimming is needed to obtain a
narrower width, the panel tubes and vinyl panel can be cut to the desired width (FIG. 8.1).
8.2. If assembled, disassemble the panel frame and remove panel tubes from vinyl panel.
Do not trim while partition is assembled; always disassemble before trimming.
8.3. Lay vinyl panel flat on a surface that will not be harmed by your chosen trimming process.
8.3.1. Mark and trim vinyl as needed.
8.4. Mark and cut panel tubes as needed.
8.4.1. Using a metal file, remove any sharp edges from cut tubes.
8.5. Insert a provided threaded insert into the cut end of each tube. Use a rubber mallet to fully seat.
8.6. Return to ‘SECTION 4’ and complete steps 4.2 through 4.4.
