ZEB Horizon ZEB Cam Firefly 8SE reset
Overview
This article explains how to reset the ZEB Cam for ZEB Horizon - Firefly model 8SE.
Note: Please check your camera model first to make sure you are following the correct procedure.
Procedure
1. Remove the camera from the scan head by unscrewing the 4 retaining screws using T20 Torx screwdriver.

2. Remove the camera from the frame.
a. Remove the lens protection cowling from the front of the camera (simply pull forwards and off).
b. Remove the fixing screw in the base of the camera using a 4mm hex key.
c. Remove the single screw on the back face of the camera using a T10 Torx screwdriver.
d. Slide the back cover down and off the camera frame.
e. Slide the cable boot down and out of the camera frame.
f. Push the camera and cable assembly backwards and out of the camera frame.

g. Disconnect the cable assembly from the camera mini USB B socket.
3. Remove the SD card from the camera.
4. Power on the camera by pressing the Power/Mode button on the front of the camera.
5. Ensure the camera is set to video mode. Short press the Power/Mode button on the front of the camera to cycle
between Video mode and Camera mode.
6. Enter the camera settings menu page by touching the settings icon on the touch screen.

7. Select the Camera settings and the swipe down to the Default Setting option.
8. Select the Default Setting option and the touch the Tick box to accept this selection. The camera will reset then
briefly power off and back on.
9. Go back to the Camera settings page again by touching the Setting icon on the touch screen.
10. On the Video Settings sub-page make the following:

Microphone Volume OFF
11. On the Camera Settings sub-page make the following:

LCD brightness LOW (to save battery life)
Auto Shutdown 3 Min
Screen Off OFF
Time Setup Change as Required
Language Change as Required
12. Press the Power/Mode button to exit the settings page.
13. Long press the Power/Mode button to power the camera off.
14. Refit the camera in the frame.
15. Reconnect the cable assembly to the camera mini USB B socket.
16. Push the camera and cable assembly into the camera frame.
17. Push the cable boot up into the camera frame.
18. Slide the back cover up into place.
19. Refit the single screw on the back face of the camera using a T10 Torx screwdriver.
20. Refit the fixing screw in the base of the camera using a 4mm hex key.
21. Refit the lens protection cowling from the front of the camera.
22. Install the SD card in the camera.
23. Test the camera by connecting the camera cable to the ZEB Horizon scan head and initiating a scan. The camera
should start recording when the scan starts (scan head rotations starts).
24. Refit the scanner frame to the scan head using the 4 M4 x 10 screws.
