POST ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Excavate the foundations as detailed using sheet PICUS8-SPEC. Posts labelled 003,00 ,005 &006 on this part of the unit should all be leaning at a 10~
angle away from posts 001 & 002. All posts should all be pre-drilled and of the correct location to achieve this angle. Ensure all bolts and screws are
loosely fitted to give enough movement for ropes and timbers to have the appropriate tensioning.
To use as a starting point, prop and concrete posts 001 & 002 into the corresponding foundation holes ensuring the posts are rotated correctly to aid with
later stages of this installation. Prop posts 003 & 006 into the foundation holes. As illustrated below add the horizontal post 011 through the uprights and
secure to posts 003 & 006 using the supplied Coach Bolts. With the two posts secured use another Coach Bolt to secure post 011 to center post 001.
(posts 001 & 002 o not have a pre- rille hole to secure post 011 & 012 so this will nee to be pre- rille prior to securing with a Coach Bolt)
Repeat this step for 002, 00 , 005 & 012.

Create stability to the two frames created on page 2 by adding the horizontal timbers pictured below. First, attach horizontal timber 01 to the two
uprights 003 & 00 using the supplied Coach Bolts. (Timber 01 will have a hanging net attachment later on in this instruction so ensure the double
counterbores are positioned in the correct places). Use the below diagram to position post 01 into the correct pre-drilled hole.

With post 01 positioned in place, start to position and secure 6 x post 021 into place using the supplied Coach Screws. NOTE: Posts 011 & 012 do not
have pre-drilled pilot holes so before securing with a Coach Screw, create a 8mm pilot hole to prevent the timber from splitting.
Use the dimensions on page to position, mark and pilot hole posts 021 onto posts 011 & 012.

Prop post labelled 009 into the foundation hole. Using the dimensions below, secure posts 015 & 016 to posts 00 & 009 using the supplied Coach Bolts
into the pre-drilled holes (post 009 oes not have a pre- rille hole to secure post 015 so this will nee to be pre- rille prior to securing with a
Coach Bolt) Ensure post 009 has a scollop at the top of the post which will also point in the correct direction for the Trapeze Swing.

Finally the ropes can be added to the unit. Below is a description of the ropes and which posts they are attached to. With the ropes loosely attached, the
posts can be adjusted to ensure that the ropes are fully tensioned.
With all of the ropes secured, add concrete to the foundation holes and leave for 8 hours. When the concrete has set all fixings can be fully tightened and
protective caps can be installed.
