Prior to installing the Ex-Headset-Kit, these instru tions and the
operating instru tions of the Ex-headset MT53H79B-56 must be
read arefully.
Application
The Ex-Headset-Kit permits the onne tion of the Ex-headset to
the explosionproof telephone ExResistTel. The Ex-headset im-
proves essentially the ommuni ation in ambient noise areas. It
prote ts against harmful ambient noise. It permits telephone om-
muni ation during a tivities where both hands are needed.
Packing Contents
The kit onsist of:
– Ex-headset MT53H79B-56 with dynami re eiver insets,
noise ompensating ele tret nearfield response mi rophone
and 1 m smooth ord with onne ting plug.
– A 14 m long onne ting ord with a onne ting ja k at one
end and with wire-ends with wire-end sleeves at the other end
to onne t to the ExResistTel.
– Cable gland (M20x1.5, IP66, EEx e II, -25°C to +60°C) to lead
the onne ting ord into the ExResistTel.
– Bra ket and s rews to hang up the onne ting ord and the
Ex-headset.
Mounting and Connection
For the atta hment of the bra ket there are two built in threaded
bushings in the rear side of the ExResistTel ase. The bra ket has
mating drill holes through whi h it an be fastened by means of flat
head s rews (see operating manual of the ExResistTel). So if you
want to use the bra ket it has to be mounted first on to the rear
side of the ExResistTel. Afterwards the wall mounting of the tele-
phone an take pla e. To onne t the Ex-headset remove one of
the sealing plugs to be found at the bottom part of the ExResistTel
ase and s rew in the able gland (M20x1.5, IP66, EEx e II,
-25°C to +60°C) ompletely. Lead the onne ting ord with the wire
ends through the able gland, fasten the ord with the able gland
and onne t the wire ends (a ording to the onne tion table) to
the terminals 5 to 10 in the ExResistTel.

Vor Installation des Ex-Kophörer-Sets ist diese Anleitung und die
Betriebsanleitung des Headsets MT53H79B-56 (Ex-Kopfgarnitur)
sorgfältig zu lesen.
Anwendung
Das Ex-Kopfhörer-Set ermögli ht den Ans hluss der Ex-Kopfgar-
nitur an das explosionsges hützte Telefon ExResistTel. Die Ex-
Kopfgarnitur verbessert wesentli h die Kommunikation in lärm-
erfüllter Umgebung. Sie s hützt vor s hädigendem Umgebungs-
lärm. Sie erlaubt Telefon-Kommunikation bei Tätigkeiten bei deren
Verri htung beide Hände benötigt werden
Verpackungsinhalt
Das Set besteht aus:
– Ex-Kopfgarnitur MT53H79B-56 mit dynamis hen Hörkapseln,
geräus hkompensierenden Elentretnahbespre hungsmikrofon
und 1 m glatter Leitung mit Verbindungsste ker.
–14 m lange Ans hlussleitung, mit Verbindungsbu hse zur Ex-Kopf-
garnitur und Kabelende mit Aderendhülsen zum Anklemmen
an das ExResistTel.
– Kabelvers hraubung (M20x1.5, IP66, EEx e II, -25°C bis +60°C)
zur Einführung der Ans hlussleitung in das ExResistTel.
– Bügel und S hrauben zum Aufhängen der Ans hlussleitung
und der Ex-Kopfgarnitur.
Montage und Anschließen
Zur Befestigung des Bügels am ExResistTel sind in der Gehäuse-
rü kwand des Telefons zwei Gewindebu hsen eingelassen. Der
Bügel weist entspre hende Bohrungen auf, dur h die, mittels
Senkkopfs hrauben, eine Befestigung an das Telefon ermögli ht
wird (siehe Betriebsanleitung ExResistTel). Somit muss, bei Ver-
wendung des Bügels, dieser zuerst befestigt werden. Dana h
kann die Wandmontage des Telefons erfolgen. Zum Ans hließen
der Ex-Kopfgarnitur ist einer der am Telefongehäuse des Ex-
ResistTel befindli hen Vers hlussstopfen zu entfernen und dur h
eine Kabelvers hraubung (M20x1.5, IP66, EEx e II, -25°C bis +60°C)
zu ersetzen. Die Ans hlussleitung ist mit den Leitungsenden dur h
die Kabelvers hraubung dur hzuführen und mit der Kabelver-
s hraubung zu fixieren. Die Aderenden sind (gemäß Ans hluss-
tabelle) an die Klemmen 5 bis 10 im ExResistTel anzus hließen.

Co issioning and Operation
Conne t the plug of the Ex-headset to the ja k of the onne ting
ord and put on the Ex-headset. Please follow the operating in-
stru tions of the Ex-headset MT53H79B-56 how to put it on. If
the Ex-headset has been onne ted orre tly, the headset mode
repla es the handsfree mode of the ExResistTel. For this reason
the handsfree mode of the ExResistTel is not possible with on-
ne ted Ex-headset. If you swit h on the ExResistTel with the loud-
speaker key you are operating in headset mode. With the +/- keys
of the ExResistTel you an hange the re eiving volume of the Ex-
headset for the a tual onversation. If you want to hange the
re eiving volume of the Ex-headset permanently use the ExResistTel
menu „Settings_Headset Volu e“.
End of Operation
You terminate the onversation by pressing the loudspeaker key.
Take off the Ex-headset. Coil the onne ting ord and hang it on
the bra ket together with the Ex-headset. You terminate the head-
set mode if you dis onne t the onne ting plug of the Ex-headset
from the onne ting ord.
Maintenance
When leaning, ensure that no moisture is allowed to penetrate
the inside of the headset. Do not use any solvents (e.g. fuel, al ohol
et .). Remove any loose dust with a soft brush. If ne essary, lean
the outside of the Ex-headset with a suitable lean tissue only
slightly moistened with lear water and subsequently rub the Ex-
headset dry again. If heavily soiled, a little dishwashing liquid an
be used in addition. Clean the plug terminals with a ommonly
available onta t leaning agent.
Waste Disposal
The Ex-headset may be ompletely re y led as ele troni waste.
Upon disassembling the Ex-headset the plasti , metal and ele -
troni omponents must be disposed of separately. In every single
ase the national requirements and regulations for waste disposal
must be observed.
Inbetriebnah e und Betrieb
Ste ker der Ex-Kopfgarnitur in die Bu hse der Ans hlussleitung
ste ken und Ex-Kopfgarnitur aufsetzen. Bea hten Sie bitte die
Hinweise in der Betriebsanleitung zum Tragen der Ex-Kopfgarnitur
MT53H79B-56 . Ist die Ex-Kopfgarnitur ri htig anges hlossen, er-
setzt der Betrieb mit Ex-Kopfgarnitur den Betrieb Freispre hen des
ExResistTel. Daher ist der Betrieb Freispre hen bei anges hlossener
Ex-Kopfgarnitur ni ht mögli h. Wenn Sie das ExResistTel mit der
Lautspre her-Taste eins halten, befinden Sie si h im Kopfgarnitur-
betrieb. Mit den +/- Tasten am ExResistTel kann die Kopfgarnitur-
lautstärke für das Gesprä h geändert werden. Eine dauerhafte Än-
derung der Kopfgarniturlautstärke ist über das ExResistTel Menü
„Einstellungen_Kopfgarnitur“ durzuführen.
Betriebsende
Dur h Drü ken der Lautspre hertaste wird das Gesprä h beendet.
Nehmen Sie die Ex-Kopfgarnitur ab. Wi keln Sie die Ver-
bindungsleitung auf und hängen Sie sie zusammen mit der Ex-
Kopfgarnitur auf den Bügel. Der Kopfgarniturbetrieb ist dur h
Trennen des Verbindungsste kers der Ex-Kopfgarnitur von der
Ans hlussleitung beendet.
Pflege und Wartung
Beim Reinigen ist darauf zu a hten, dass keine Feu htigkeit in das
Innere der Ex-Kopfgarnitur dringt. Keine Lösungsmittel (z.B. Benzin,
Alkohol) zum Reinigen verwenden. Losen Staub mit einem
wei hen Pinsel entfernen. Wenn erforderli h, ist die Ex-Kopfgarnitur
außen mit einem geeigneten, nur lei ht mit klarem Wasser ange-
feu hteten, sauberen Tu h zu reinigen. Ans hließend ist die Ex-
Kopfgarnitur tro ken zureiben. Bei starker Vers hmutzung kann
zusätzli h etwas Spülmittel verwendet werden. Die Ste kerkon-
takte mit einem handelsübli hen Kontaktreinigungsmittel reinigen.
Entsorgung
Die Komplettentsorgung der Ex-Kopfgarnitur erfolgt über den
Elektroniks hrottabfall. Bei der Demontage sind die Komponenten
Kunststoff, Metall und Elektronik separat zu entsorgen. In jedem
Fall sind die Entsorgungsbedingungen des jeweiligen Einsatzlandes
zu bea hten.

Die Ex-Kopfgarnitur ist nur für den Betrieb am explosions-
ges hützten Telefon ExResistTel vorgesehen.
Die Ex-Kopfgarnitur ist na h Gebrau h bei normaler Raum-
temperatur und Luftfeu htigkeit aufzubewahren.
Der zulässige Betriebstemperaturberei h beträgt -10°C bis
+40°C, der zulässige Lagertemperaturberei h beträgt –40°C
bis +55°C.
Bei dem Betrieb der Ex-Kopfgarnitur sind die gesetzli hen
und gewerbli hen Vors hriften, Unfallverhütungsvors hriften,
sowie elektris he Bestimmungen zu bea hten.
Es ist darauf zu a hten, dass die Ans hlussleitung si h ni ht
in laufende Mas hinen oder Rädern verfängt.
Vor einer Instandsetzung der Ex-Kopfgarnitur muss sie vom
Ex-ResistTel getrennt werden.
Bea hten Sie die wi htigen Anwenderinformationen in der Be-
triebsanleitung der Ex-Kopfgarnitur MT53H79B-56.
User Infor ation
Subje t to alterations or errors
The Ex-headset is intended to be used only with the explosion-
proof telephone ExResistTel.
After use, keep the headset at normal room temperature and
at a normal relative air humidity.
The permissible operating temperature range is -10°C to +40°C,
the permissible storage temperature range is -40°C to +55°C.
When operating the Ex-headset, please heed the legal and
ommer ial/industrial regulations, a ident-prevention regula-
tions and ele tri al regulations/provisions.
Ensure that the onne tion ord does not get aught up in op-
erational ma hinery or wheels.
Before repair, the Ex-headset has to be dis onne ted from the
ExResistTel.
Follow the important user information in the operating instru -
tions of the Ex-headset MT53H79B-56.
