must be read arefully.
Application
The Headset-Kit permits the onne tion of a headset to
the weather resistant telephone ResistTel. The headset
improves essentially the ommuni ation in ambient
noise areas. It prote ts against harmful ambient noise. It
permits telephone ommuni ation during a tivities
where both hands are needed.
Packing Contents
The kit onsist of:
– Headset with dynami re eiver insets, noise ompen-
sating ele tret nearfield response mi rophone with
windshield and goosene k, as well as 80 m smooth
ord with onne ting plug.
–A14 m long onne ting ord with a onne ting ja k
at one end and with wireends with wireend sleeves
at the other end to onne t to the ResistTel.
– Cable gland M20x1,5 to lead the onne ting ord
into the ResistTel.
– Bra ket and s rews to hang up the onne ting ord
and the headset.
Mounting and Connection
For the atta hment of the bra ket there are two built in
threaded bushings in the rear side of the ResistTel ase.
The bra ket has mating drill holes through whi h it an
be fastened by means of flat head s rews (see operat-
ing manual of the ResistTel). So if you want to use the
bra ket it has to be mounted first on to the rear side of

Anwendung
Das Kopfhörer-Set ermögli ht den Ans hluss einer
Kopfgarnitur an das wetterfeste Telefon ResistTel. Die
Kopfgarnitur verbessert wesentli h die Kommunikation in
lärmerfüllter Umgebung. Sie s hützt vor s hädigendem
Umgebungslärm. Sie erlaubt Telefonkommunikation bei
Tätigkeiten bei deren Verri htung beide Hände benötigt
werden.
Verpackungsinhalt
Das Set besteht aus:
– Kopfgarnitur mit dynamis hen Hörkapseln, geräus h-
kompensierenden Elektret-Nahbespre hungsmikro-
fon mit Winds hutz und flexiblen S hwanenhals,
sowie 80 m glatter Leitung mit Verbindungsste ker.
– 14 m lange Ans hlussleitung, mit Verbindungsbu hse
zur Kopfgarnitur und Kabelende mit Aderendhülsen
zum Anklemmen an das ResistTel.
– Kabelvers hraubung M20x1,5 zur Einführung der An-
s hlussleitung in das ResistTel.
– Bügel und S hrauben zum Aufhängen der Ans hluss-
leitung und der Kopfgarnitur.
Montage und Anschließen
Zur Befestigung des Bügels am ResistTel sind in der
Gehäuserü kwand des Telefons zwei Gewindebu hsen
eingelassen. Der Bügel weist entspre hende Bohrungen
auf, dur h die, mittels Senkkopfs hrauben, eine Befesti-
gung an das Telefon ermögli ht wird (siehe Betriebsan-
leitung ResistTel). Somit muss, bei Verwendung des

Co issioning and Operation
Conne t the plug of the headset to the ja k of the on-
ne ting ord and put on the headset. Adjust the height
of ea h headset muff equally on both sides while hold-
ing the headband down on the top of the head until the
ear ushions have a tight and omfortable fit. The head-
band should sit straight and omfortable on the top of
the head. Adjust the flexible goosene k so that the mi ro-
phone is positioned at a distan e of approximately 5 mm
(0,2”) in front of your lips. Optimal voi e transmission and
the best possible noise ompensation are then pro-
vided. If the headset has been onne ted orre tly,
the headset mode repla es the handsfree mode of the
ResistTel. For this reason the handsfree mode of the
ResistTel is not possible with onne ted headset. If you
swit h on the ResistTel with the loudspeaker key you are
operating in headset mode. With the +/- keys of the
ResistTel you an hange the re eiving volume of the
headset for the a tual onversation. If you want to
hange the re eiving volume of the headset permanently
use the ResistTel menu „Settings_Headset Volu e“.
End of Operation
You terminate the onversation by pressing the loud-
speaker key. Take off the headset. Coil the onne ting
ord and hang it on the bra ket together with the head-
set. You terminate the headset mode if you dis onne t
the onne ting plug of the headset from the onne ting
ord.
Maintenance
When leaning, ensure that no moisture is allowed to
penetrate the inside of the headset. Do not use any
solvents (e.g. fuel, al ohol et .). Remove any loose dust
with a soft brush. If ne essary, lean the outside with a
suitable lean tissue only slightly moistened with lear
water and subsequently rub the devi e dry again. If
heavily soiled, a little dishwashing liquid an be used in

ersetzen. Die Ans hlussleitung ist mit den Leitungs-
enden dur h die Kabelvers hraubung dur hzuführen
und mit der Kabel-Vers hraubung zu fixieren. Die
Aderenden sind (gemäß Ans hlusstabelle) an die Klem-
men 5 bis 10 im ResistTel anzus hließen.
Inbetriebnah e und Betrieb
Ste ker der Kopfgarnitur in die Bu hse der Ans hluss-
leitung ste ken und Kopfgarnitur aufsetzen. Die Hör-
s halen sind am Kopfbügel so einzustellen, dass die
Ohren gut umges hlossen werden und der Kopfbügel
auf der Kopfmitte aufliegt. Eine optimale Spra hüber-
tragung und bestmögli he Geräus hkompensation ist
dann gegeben, wenn si h das Mikrofon in einem Ab-
stand von a. 5 mm von den Lippen befindet. Ist die
Kopfgarnitur ri htig anges hlossen, ersetzt der Betrieb
mit Kopfgarnitur den Betrieb Freispre hen des ResistTel.
Daher ist der Betrieb Freispre hen bei anges hlossener
Kopfgarnitur ni ht mögli h. Wenn Sie das ResistTel mit
der Lautspre her-Taste eins halten, befinden Sie si h
im Kopfgarniturbetrieb. Mit den +/- Tasten am ResistTel
kann die Kopfgarniturlautstärke für das Gesprä h geän-
dert werden. Eine dauerhafte Änderung der Kopfgarni-
turlautstärke ist über das ResistTel Menü „Einstellungen_
Kopfgarnitur“ dur hzuführen.
Betriebsende
Dur h Drü ken der Lautspre hertaste wird das
Gesprä h beendet. Nehmen Sie die Kopfgarnitur ab.
Wi keln Sie die Verbindungsleitung auf und hängen Sie
zusammen mit der Kopfgarnitur auf dem Bügel. Der
Kopfgarniturbetrieb ist dur h Trennen des Verbin-
dungsste kers der Kopfgarnitur von der Ans hluss-
leitung beendet.
Pflege und Wartung
Beim Reinigen ist darauf zu a hten, dass keine Feu htig-
keit in das Innere der Kopfgarnitur dringt. Keine Lösungs-
mittel (z.B. Benzin, Alkohol) zum Reinigen verwenden.
Losen Staub mit einem wei hen Pinsel entfernen. Wenn
erforderli h, ist das Gerät außen mit einem geeigneten,
nur lei ht mit klarem Wasser angefeu htetes, sauberes
Tu h zu reinigen. Ans hließend ist das Gerät tro ken

Komponenten Kunststoff, Metall und Elektronik separat
zu entsorgen. In jedem Fall sind die Entsorgungsbedin-
gungen des jeweiligen Einsatzlandes zu bea hten.

Waste Disposal
The headset may be ompletely re y led as ele troni
waste. Upon disassembling the devi e the plasti , metal
and ele troni omponents must be disposed of sepa-
rately. In every single ase the national requirements and
regulations for waste disposal must be observed.

Die Zusammens haltung der Kopfgarnitur mit dem Telefon
ResistTel erfüllt die Anforderungen der R&TTE Ri htlinie und
der PPE-Ri htlinie.

CE-CONFORMITY

The headset is intended to be used only with the
weather resistant telephone ResistTel.
After use, keep the headset at normal room temper-
ature and at a normal relative air humidity.
The permissible operating temperature range is -10°C
to +55°C the permissible storage temperature range
is –40°C to +80°C.
Do not twist the flexible goosene k and do not arry
the headset by the goosene k.
When operating the headset, please heed the legal
and ommer ial / industrial regulations, a ident-
prevention regulations and ele tri al regulations / pro-
visions.
Ensure that the onne tion ord does not get aught
up in operational ma hinery or wheels.
Before repair, the headset has to be dis onne ted
from the ResistTel.

Die Kopfgarnitur ist nur für den Betrieb am wetter-
si heren Telefon ResistTel vorgesehen.
Die Kopfgarnitur ist na h Gebrau h bei normaler
Raumtemperatur und Luftfeu htigkeit aufzubewahren.
Der zulässige Betriebstemperaturberei h beträgt
-10°C bis +55°C der zulässige Lagertemperaturberei h
beträgt –40°C bis +80°C.
Verdrehen Sie ni ht den flexiblen S hwanenhals und
tragen Sie die Kopfgarnitur ni ht am S hwanenhals.
Bei dem Betrieb der Kopfgarnitur sind die gesetz-
li hen und gewerbli hen Vors hriften, Unfallverhü-
tungsvors hriften, sowie elektris he Bestimmungen
zu bea hten.
Es ist darauf zu a hten, dass die Ans hlussleitung
si h ni ht in laufende Mas hinen oder Rädern ver-
fängt.
Vor einer Instandsetzung der Kopfgarnitur muss sie
vom ResistTel getrennt werden.
