Note
Prior to installing the Loudspeaker-Kit, these operating
instructions must be read carefully.
Application
The Loudspeaker Kit permits the connection of a loud-
speaker to the weather-resistant telephone ResistTel.
The loudspeaker enables a particularly loud rendition of
the ringer sound and of the receiving signal in the oper-
ating modes „open listening“ and „handsfree“ of the tele-
phone.
Pac ing Contents
The kit consist of:
– Dynamic loudspeaker in a plastic housing with cable
gland and connection box.
– Cable gland (M20x1.5) IP66 to lead a speaker cable
into the ResistTel case (speaker cable is not within
the scope of delivery )
Mounting and Connection
The loudspeaker has to be mounted in such a way that
its front side points sideways or downwards. It has to
be mounted with 2 screws Ø 8 mm. The holding pieces
should carry the weigth of the loudspeaker which is ap-
prox. 1.1 kg.
To connect the loudspeaker, open the telephone Re-
sistTel, remove one of the sealing plugs to be found at
the bottom part of the case and screw in the cable gland
(M20x1.5 ; IP66) completely.
Lead one cable end of a mating speaker cable (sheath
diameter 5 to 9 mm) through the cable gland, fasten the
cable with the cable gland and connect the wire ends
to the terminals 11 and 12 in the ResistTel.

Vor der Installation des Lautsprecher-Sets ist diese Be-
triebsanleitung sorgfältig zu lesen.
Anwendung
Das Lautsprecher-Set ermöglicht den Anschluss eines
Lautsprechers an das wetterfeste Telefon ResistTel.
Der Lautsprecher ermöglicht eine besonders laute
Wiedergabe beim Tonruf und für das Empfangssignal in
den Betriebszuständen „Lauthören“ und „Freisprechen“
des Telefons.
Verpac ungsinhalt
Das Set besteht aus:
– Dynamischer Lautsprecher im Kunststoffgehäuse mit
Kabeleinführung und Anschlussraum.
– Kabelverschraubung (M20x1,5) IP66 zur Einführung
eines Lautsprecherkabels in das ResistTel Gehäuse
(Lautsprecherkabel gehört nicht zum Lieferumfang)
Montage und Anschließen
Der Lautsprecher ist so zu montieren, dass seine
Vorderseite zur Seite oder nach unten zeigt. Die Befes-
tigung erfolgt mit 2 Schrauben Ø 8 mm. Die Befesti-
gungselemente müssen das Lautsprechergewicht von
ca. 1,1 kg tragen können.
Zum Anschluss des Lautsprechers öffnen Sie das Tele-
fon ResistTel, entfernen Sie einen am Unterteil des Tele-
fongehäuses befindlichen Verschlussstopfen und
schrauben Sie die Kabelverschraubung (M20x1,5; IP66)
vollständig ein. Ein Kabelendstück eines zur Kabelver-
schraubung passenden Lautsprecherkabels (Mantel-
durchmesser 5 bis 9 mm) wird durch die Ka belver-
schraubung geführt und mit der Kabelverschraubung
fixiert. Die Kabelenden sind an die Klemmen 11 und 12
im ResistTel anzuschließen.

To operate the loudspeaker with a ResistTel/ZB the ter-
minals 9 and 10 have to be bridged additionally. Close
the telephone again with the upper part of the case.
Open the cover of the connection box of the loud-
speaker housing. Lead the other end of the speaker
cable through the cable gland of the connection box and
fasten the cable with the cable gland. Connect the wire
ends to the terminals of the connection box. Close the
connection box with the cover again.
Operation
The loudspeaker is switched on and off via the Resist-
Tel menu „SETTINGS / EXT. SPEAKER“.
If the loudspeaker is switched on, the ringer sound is
output via the loudspeaker when the telephone is call-
ing. The set up of the ringer signal is described in the
operation instructions of the ResistTel.
In the operating modes „open listening“ and „handsfree“
of the telephone the receiving signal is output via the
loudspeaker. With the +/- keys of the ResistTel you can
change the volume for the actual conversation. If you
want to change the volume of the loudspeaker perma-
nently use the ResistTel menu „SETTINGS_SPEAKER
VOLUME“.
The loudspeaker is switched off when you hook on the
handset of the ResistTel or push the loudspeaker key.
Maintenance
The loudspeaker is maintenance-free.
Nevertheless in case of dirtiness it should be cleaned
from time to time with a damp cleaning cloth. Never use
sharp objects for cleaning.
Waste Disposal
The loudspeaker may be completely recycled as elec-
tronic waste. Upon disassembling, the plastic, metal and
electronic components must be disposed of separately.
In every single case the national requirements and
regulations for waste disposal must be observed.
Für den Betrieb des Lautsprechers an einem Resist-
Tel/ZB sind zusätzlich die Klemmen 9 und 10 miteinan-
der zu verbinden. Schließen Sie das Telefon wieder mit
dem Gehäuseoberteil. Öffnen Sie den Anschluss raum -
deckel am Lautsprechergehäuse. Führen Sie das an-
dere Ende des Lautsprecherkabels durch die
Kabel verschraubung des Anschlussraumes und fixieren
Sie das Kabel mit der Kabelverschraubung. Schließen
Sie die Kabelenden an die Klemmen im Anschlussraum
an. Schließen Sie den Anschlussraum wieder mit dem
Anschlussraumdeckel.
Betrieb
Der Lautsprecher wird über das ResistTel Menü „EIN-
STELLUNGEN / EXT.LAUTSPR.“ ein- und ausgeschaltet.
Bei eingeschaltetem Lautsprecher wird bei einem Anruf
das Tonrufsignal über den Lautsprecher abgestrahlt. Die
Einstellung des Tonrufs ist in der Betriebsanleitung des
ResistTel beschrieben.
In den Betriebsarten Lauthören und Freisprechen des
Telefons wird das Empfangssignal über den Laut-
sprecher wiedergegeben. Für das aktuelle Gespräch
wird die Lautstärke mit den +/- Tasten am ResistTel
verändert. Eine dauerhafte Änderung der Lautsprecher-
lautstärke ist über das ResistTel Menu „EINSTELLUN-
GEN / LAUTSPRECHER“ durchzuführen. Mit dem
Auflegen des ResistTel Telefonhörers oder Drücken der
Lautsprechertaste wird das Gespräch beendet.
Pflege und Wartung
Der Lautsprecher ist wartungsfrei. Bei starker Ver-
schmutzung sollte dennoch von Zeit zu Zeit eine Reini-
gung mit einem feuchten Reinigungstuch durchgeführt
werden. Zur Reinigung niemals spitze Gegenstände
verwenden.
Entsorgung
Die Entsorgung des Lautsprechers erfolgt über den
Elektronikabfall. Bei der Demontage sind Kunststoff,
Metall und Elektronik separat zu entsorgen.
In jedem Fall sind die Entsorgungsbedingungen des
jeweiligen Einsatzlandes zu beachten.

Benutzerinformationen
Der Lautsprecher ist nur für den Betrieb am Telefon
ResistTel vorgesehen.
Der Lautsprecher darf nur unter den angegebenen
Umgebungsbedingungen betrieben werden (siehe
technische Daten).
Bei dem Betrieb des Lautsprechers sind die geset-
zlichen und gewerblichen Vorschriften, Unfallverhü-
tungsvorschriften sowie elektrische Bestimmungen
zu beachten.
Vor einer Instandsetzung des Lautsprechers muss er
vom ResistTel getrennt werden.
Wenn der Lautsprecher über das ResistTel Menü
„EINSTELLUNGEN / EXT.LAUTSPR.“ eingeschaltet
ist, wird die Lautstärke des im ResistTel befindlichen
Lautsprechers geringer.

The loudspeaker is intended to be used only with the
telephone ResistTel.
The loudspeaker must only be operated under the
specified ambient conditions (see Technical Data).
When operating the loudspeaker, please heed the
legal and commercial / industrial regulations, acci-
dent-prevention regulations and electrical regulations
/ provisions.
Bevor repair, the loudspeaker has to be disconnected
from the ResistTel.
If the loudspeaker is switched on via the ResistTel
menu „SETTINGS / EXT. SPEAKER“ the volume of
the louspeaker contained in the ResistTel is reduced.
