Congratulations on your purchase of the Pellet-Q450™ Sear Station™ ! When
unpacking, check to make sure all parts are included and not damaged due to
shipping. If any part is missing or broken, please call Customer Service at 800-745-6109
as soon as possible.

A Few Words About Product Safety:
Before assembly, please review the following safety information and installation
recommendations. Throughout these instructions important safety information is
generally preceded by one of three signal words indicating the relative risk of injury,
property damage or adverse consequence.
The signal words mean:

CLEANING, STORAGE OR REPAIR.
NEVER:
LEAVE GRILL UNATTENDED OR ALLOW CHILDREN TO USE OR
PLAY NEARBY.
TOUCH OR PROBE PELLET IGNITER WHEN GRILL IS OPERATING.
PLACE HANDS IN OR ALLOW CLOTHING OR JEWELRY NEAR
PELLET HOPPER OR SCREW AUGER LOCATED AT BOTTOM OF
HOPPER. IF PELLETS BECOME CLOGGED, OR SMO ER UNIT
DAMAGED, UNPLUG BEFORE ATTEMPTING REPAIR.
ALLOW GREASE OR GRILLING SCRAPS TO ACCUMULATE IN
TRAP, OR AROUND GRILL. CAREFULLY EXTINGUISH ANY
FLAMES THROUGH REDUCING HEAT SETTING, SUFFOCATION
OR BA ING SODA.
USE GRILL IF ANY PORTION OR CORD IS DAMAGED. UNPLUG,
ALLOW TO COOL AND CONSULT OWNER’S MANUAL FOR
TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIR ADVICE.

How It Works
The FireCraft® Pellet-Q450™ Sear Station™ allows you to sear steaks, burgers, or just
about anything with your Pellet-Q450™! Made of highly conductive hard anodized
aluminum, the Sear Station™ absorbs heat from the grill then amplifies it. Because the
heat quickly radiates across the entire grate, the whole Sear Station™ becomes a
high-intensity grilling surface that produces perfect sear marks and vaporizes
drippings on contact.
Requirement for Correct Heat Diuser Plate
In order to use the Sear Station™, your FireCraft® Pellet-Q450™ MUST have a diffuser
plate with an Open Flame Port. If the serial number of your Pellet-Q450™ is #00123 or
lower, or has a solid diffuser plate with no Open Flame Port, DO OT attempt to use
the Sear Station or the Open Flame Setting on your AccuTemp™ Electronic Control.

ALWAYS:
USE THE SEAR STATION WITH AN APPROVED FIRECRAFT
DIFFUSER PLATE WITH AN OPEN FLAME PORT. IF YOUR GRILL
DOES NOT HAVE A DIFFUSER PLATE WITH AN OPEN FLAME
PORT PLEASE CONTACT FIRECRAFT CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR
ASSISTANCE AT 8007456109.
Open Flame Port

How to Install
Make sure that your Pellet-Q450™ is turned off and is completely cool. Remove the
small left grill grate from the cooking chamber. ext, remove the small metal cover
from the Open Flame Port.
The Sear Station™ grates have male and female edges. Interlock the two panels by
fitting the male and female edges together then lay the Sear Station™ inside the grill
with the rails up where you just removed the small left grill grate.
How to Season
Seasoning your FireCraft® Pellet-Q450™ Sear Station™ grates will provide better
cooking results and create a near-nonstick surface. Before cooking on the Sear
Station™ for the first time, apply grill spray or canola oil to the raised rails.
Tip: To help the seasoning build up, try grilling fatty foods the first few times
and avoid over-cleaning the grates.

Cleaning Your Sear Station
Clean the top of the Sear Station rails while the grill is warm using a standard grill
brush. To preserve the seasoning on the Sear Station™, DO OT aggressively brush the
rails. Use the provided tool to remove debris from between the rails. It is safe to
occasionally clean the Sear Station™ in hot soapy water. Your Sear Station™ is OT
dishwasher safe. DO OT use oven cleaner to clean your Sear Station™.

Sear Station™ Limited Warranty
Your FireCraft® Pellet-Q450™ is covered by the
following Limited Warranty provided exclusively by
FireCraft, Inc., 1028 Saunders Lane, West Chester PA
19380.
This Limited Warranty is the only warranty made in
connection with your purchase. FireCraft neither
assumes nor authorizes any vendor, retailer or
other person or entity to assume for it any other
obligation or liability in connection with this
product or Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty
does not apply and is not cumulative to any acces-
sory or part distributed by FireCraft for which the
Manufacturer provides a separate written warranty.
This Limited Warranty covers the Sear Station
(products) manufactured for FireCraft, I C.
Products carry a ninety (90) day Limited Warranty
from the date of purchase by the original owner
against defects in material and workmanship.
Conditions of Limited Warranty
During the term of the Limited Warranty, FireCraft's
obligation shall be limited to replacement of
covered, failed components, F.O.B. point of
shipment. FireCraft will repair or replace parts
returned to FireCraft, freight prepaid, if the part(s)
are found by FireCraft to be defective upon
examination. FireCraft shall not be liable for trans-
portation charges, labor costs, or export duties.
Except as provided in this CO DITIO S OF LIMITED
WARRA TY, repair or replacement of parts in the
manner and for the period of time stipulated
hereunder shall constitute the fulfillment of all
direct and derivate liabilities and obligations from
FireCraft to you.
The Warranty coverage begins on the original date
of purchase as stated on the sales receipt. Warranty
Registration and proof of original date of purchase
is required to validate the Limited Warranty. Repair
or replacement of the FireCraft component does
not extend the Limited Warranty. Pouring hot
liquids on or in your FireCraft product will void this
warranty. Any modification including holes or
screws will void this warranty.
Exceptions to the Limited Warranty
There is no written or implied performance
warranty on FireCraft Products as the manufacturer
has no control over the installation, operations,
cleaning, maintenance or the type of fuel burned.
This Limited Warranty will not apply if your product
has not been installed, operated, cleaned and
maintained in strict accordance with the
manufacturers instructions. Burning anything other
than FireCraft-approved premium grade BBQ wood
pellets may void the Warranty. The Warranty does
not cover damage or breakage due to misuse,
improper handling or modifications.

limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
or limitations of implied warranties, so the
limitations or exclusions set forth in this Limited
Warranty may not apply to you. This Limited
Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you
may have other rights, which vary from state to
state. The Limited Warranty for ninety (90) days is in
lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, at
law or otherwise, and FireCraft does not authorize
any person or representative to assume for
FireCraft any obligation or liability in connection
with the sale of this product. This means that no
warranties, either expressed or implied are
extended to persons who purchase the product
from anyone other than FireCraft or an authorized
FireCraft Dealer or Distributor.
