Forest garden PEACH PLAYHOUSE PH1 User manual

IMPORTANT, RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE; READ
CAREFULLY
- Most buildings are pre-treated with a factory base coat for protection
during storage and transit. We recommend that you treat your new
building as soon as possible after assembly using a wood preservative
treatment. Apply in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
- Timber is a natural material. It will shrink and swell as a result of
varying moisture content.
- Please keep all plastic bags and small parts away from children
- This product must be built on a solid level base and at least two
metres away from any structure or obstruction.

-This product is intended for use by children of up to age 10 years.
-Only for domestic use

This article contains timber treated with Celcure AC-500, incorporating biocidal products
to give protection against wood destroying insects & wood rotting fungi.
Contains: Basic copper carbonate (Copper (II) carbonate – Copper (II) hydroxide (1:1)),
Boric acid, Benzalkonium chloride.
Wear gloves when handling freshly treated wood. Avoid breathing dust when cutting
treated or untreated wood. Dispose of off-cuts responsibly – do not burn.

Place two of the panels against the plain end making sure
that the framing is flush. Fix the panels together using 2 x
50mm screws. Repeat for the remaining panels.
Fix an 1172mm batten (pressure treated) to
the bottom of each panel making sure that it is
flush on all sides. Fix each batten in place
using 2 x 50mm screws.

Place the remaining 1172mm batten so that
it bridges the door end and plain end at the
top as illustrated. Fix this in place using a
50mm screw at each end screwing at an
angle.
Place a corner strip to each corner
making sure that it is flush. Secure each
strip in place using 3 x 25mm screws.

Place the magnetic catch against the
inside of the door frame but opposite the
magnetic plate on the reverse of the door.
Fix this in place using 2 x 25mm screws.
Place the hinges against the door so that they are in line with the
battens on the reverse and secure using 3 x 25mm (black) screws.
Place the door into the door frame and fix the other side of the
hinge using 4 x 25mm (black) screws for each.
Attention :
When positioning the door the gap between the door and the frame on the hinged side
must be no less than 12mm. The gap on the opening side must be less than 5mm.

Place the handle half way up the door against the
edge of the board. Position the magnetic plate on the
reverse of the door opposite the handle. Use 2 x
25mm screws to fix both the plate and handle to the
door screwing from inside.

Place the door block against
the front and in line with the
side of the door end. Making
sure that this is in line with the
top of the door fix using 2 x
50mm screws.
Insert a piece of the
glazing in to the frame
and fix it in place,
pinning a glazing strip
on each side as shown.
Use 2 x panel pins for
each strip.

Place roof sheet on top
of a 1252mm batten
making sure that all the
edges are flush. Secure
the roof sheet to the
batten using 4 x 25mm
screws.
Place the two 694mm
angled battens against
the front of the building
so that they are in line
with the top of the roof
and meet at the apex.
Fix each in place using
2 x 50mm screws.
Place each of the barge boards against the building so that they are in line with the
pitch of the roof and meet at the apex. Place the shaped barge boards at the front
and the straight boards on the back.Fix each in place using 2 x 25mm screws.
Trim off any excess roof felt that may protrude underneath the boards.
Attention:
Take care when
trimming the
roof felt.
Unroll both lengths of felt and position each sheet centrally and so they
overlap each other at the apex. Each sheet should have an equal overhang
one each end and approximately a 40mm overhang on the eaves.
Secure the felt with the felt nails provided spaced at 150mm intervals.
Place each roof section
on to the building so
that they are in line
with the apex. Fix the
roof sections in place
using 3 x 25mm
screws for each end,
screwing into the
panels framing. Further
secure the roof using a
30mm screw through
the roof into the centre
of the side panel
framing.
Maintenance:
-After assembling the building we recommend that you treat this using a wood
preservative treatment. Repeat annually.
- Make sure that there are no sharp edges or screw heads protruding.
Regularly check
- All fixing are tight.
- All parts for evidence of deterioration and replace in accordance with
the manufacturers instructions

Place the 586mm and 530mm
strips around the outside of the
window so that they are flush
and square. Make sure that the
strip on the right of the window
is flush with the framing and
does not interfere with opening
of the door. Secure each strip
with 2 x 30mm screws.
When securing the bottom
strip, take care to position the
screws towards the bottom the
strip to make sure you screw
through the thicker material
behind.
