A. One one side of the pipe, measure down
2-1/4” from the top, and make a mark.

B. On the same side of the pipe, measure down
15-1/4” from the top, and make a mark.

A. Rotate the same 48” pipe 90 degrees so that the
previous marks are now on the side of the pipe.

B. On the new side of the pipe, measure
down 9” from the top, and make a mark.

A. For each of the three marks you made, drill a
pilot hole using a 1/4” drill bit through both
sides for the pipe. Try to keep the drill bit at a
perfect right angle to the opposite side of the
pipe.
B. Once each pilot hole is finished, drill a 1-1/8” hole saw
into each of the pilot holes, to cut out larger holes in
the pipe. When one side of the pipe his done, flip the
pipe over and do the other side (don’t try to go
through both sides with the hole saw).

A. When complete with the hole saw, you should
have a PVC pipe with several holes in it, similar
to the image shown.
B. Use a butter knife or other blunt tool to remove ‘burrs’
from the cut pipe, by running it around the edges of
the corners of each hole.
