-WINTERCARE-
Fountainbowls/topsandotherfountaincomponents,whichcollect water, shouldnotbeleftoutsideinthewinter since anycomponent,
whichfillswithwater andfreezesmaycrack.Likewise, componentssuchaspedestals,whichremaininabasin,filledwithwater,
whichthenfreezes,mayalsocrackor crumble. Ideally, therefore, afountainshouldalwaysbestoredindoorsor inadryprotected
place suchasacoveredporchawayfromtheelements. However, ifafountainmustbeleftoutside:
(1) Removepump, rubber stoppers, drainpipes, finials,andother smallcomponentsfor storageindoors. Note that stoppersor
drainpipesareremovedtoallowdrainageintheeventwater accumulatesinanybasin.
(2) Raisefountainbasefromgroundwithwood stripssothat basewill notfreeze tothegroundsurface.
(3) Cover or wrapthefountainwithburlapor other absorbentmaterial (oldblanket or towel) andthencover securelywith
plastic,making surethat water will notaccumulate inthebasinor other fountaincomponentandfreeze;
(4) Checkfountainperiodicallytoinsurethat plastic issecureandwater isnotaccumulating inanyfountaincomponent.
-GENERALFOUNTAINTIPS-
Install fountainsonalevel surface. Youwill needaproperlygrounded110-volt (AConly) GFCI protectedreceptaclenear the
fountainfor your pump. All pumpsaresubmersible andmustbecompletelyunderwater tofunctionproperly. Testall pumpsand
adjusttofull outputprior toassembly. Itisnotrecommendedthat fountainsbeplaceddirectlyongrass or dirt. Positionthechannel
opening at thebaseofeachfountaintoward theelectrical outlet tobeusedsince thepump
cord willbethreadedthroughthisopening.

1. Place thepedestalbase(PD-195B)into position where thefountain will be
installed, ensuringthatit is level.
2. Center thepedestalcolumn (PD-195A) over thepedestalbase(PD-195B).
3. Center thebowl(P-630)over thepedestalcolumn(PD-195A).
4. Assemblethepump kit
a. Usingahoseclamp, attach the5/8”non-kink tubingto thepump
outlet.
i. This fountain does notuseapump adapter.
b. Place thestopper around thepump cord approximately6”fromthe
pump.
5. Feed thepump cord through theholein thebowl(P-630), pedestalcolumn
(PD-195A), and channelunder thepedestalbase(PD-195B).
6. FIRMLYpress thestopper into theholeevenly.
a. Note:Usingthehandleofascrewdriverorhammer works bestto
press thestopper in place.
7. Fit the5/8”clear tubingto thepipeprotrudingfromtheinsidebottomofthe
finial(FT-53A).
8. Place thefinial(FT-53A) over thepump.
a. Turn thefeature to coil thetubingasyou lower it into position.
9. Place thefinialdoor(FT-53B)in thepump access openingofthefinial(FT-
53A).
10. Fill thebasin with water.
