Depth Gage

This depth gage comes supplied with a bat-
tery and is instantly operational. However,
we suggest you read this manual prior to
using your instrument.

On/Off:
Press <on> button once to turn on. Press button an additional time to turn off.
Zero Setting:
Press <zero> function button at any position.
Change Measuring Standard:
Press <mm/in/F> function button to toggle between mm, in or fractions.
• For measurement between 0 and 1". Place the depth base on a surface plate or other flat surface and press ZERO. Zero can
also be set at any point within the range of the plunger.
• For measurement lengths greater than 1". Add the necessary amount of measuring rods for the depth required.To insure correct
measurements after adding additional rods, the depth gage must be set against a master part or a setting master.
Hold: Press once to retain measurement on display. Press once again to return to measuring mode.
Functions
Battery Replacement
• Slide off the battery cover and rubber gasket, then remove the battery by gently tapping the instrument in your hand. (Never try to
force or pry the battery out). Insert the new battery with the positive pole “+” facing upwards and replace the gasket and cover.
• Please dispose of used batteries at a proper collection center.
Cleaning
• Clean the depth gage with a soft cloth. DO NOT use any type of solvent.
• DO NOT immerse the depth gage in liquid.
Troubleshooting Chart
RESET: In order to RESET the instrument, remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, replace the battery and turn the
instrument on.
Precautions: Although a top quality product, certain precautions are required for any electronic instrument:
• Avoid exposure to all liquids and excessive humidity.
• Avoid exposure to electromagnetic elds.
• Do not expose the instrument to direct sunlight.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the caliper for extended periods of time.
Symptom Corrective Action
• Digits do not change or count correctly • Remove the battery for 30 seconds then reinstall.
• No Display • Check battery contacts or replace battery.
