1. AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA
L’installazione del prodotto deve essere eseguita da personale quali cato in conformità alle leggi e normative locali sulla sicurezza. Fracarro Radioindustrie di conseguenza

L’installazione del prodotto deve essere eseguita secondo le indicazioni di installazione fornite, al  ne di preservare l’operatore da eventuali incidenti e il prodotto da
eventuali danneggiamenti.
AVVERTENZE PER L’INSTALLAZIONE
• Il prodotto non deve essere esposto a gocciolamento o a spruzzi d’acqua e va pertanto installato in un ambiente asciutto, all’interno di edi ci.
• Umidità e gocce di condensa potrebbero danneggiare il prodotto.
• In caso di condensa, prima di utilizzare il prodotto, attendere che sia completamente asciutto.
• Maneggiare con cura. Urti impropri potrebbero danneggiare il prodotto.
• Lasciare spazio attorno al prodotto per garantire una ventilazione suf ciente.
• L’eccessiva temperatura di lavoro e/o un eccessivo riscaldamento possono compromettere il funzionamento e la durata del prodotto.
• Non installare il prodotto sopra o vicino a fonti di calore o in luoghi polverosi o dove potrebbe venire a contatto con sostanze corrosive.
• In caso di montaggio a muro utilizzare tasselli ad espansione adeguati alle caratteristiche del supporto di  ssaggio.
La parete ed il sistema di  ssaggio devono essere in grado di sostenere almeno 4 volte il peso dell’apparecchiatura.
• Attenzione: per evitare di ferirsi, questo apparecchio deve essere assicurato alla parete/pavimento secondo le istruzioni di installazione.
• Il prodotto deve essere collegato all’elettrodo di terra dell’impianto d’antenna conformemente alla norma EN 60728-11.
• La vite predisposta per tale scopo è contrassegnata con il simbolo .
• Si raccomanda di attenersi alle disposizioni della norma EN 60728-11 e di non collegare tale vite alla terra di protezione della rete elettrica di alimentazione

1. SAFETY WARNING

full compliance with the instructions given in this manual in order to protect the operator against all possible injuries and the product from being damaged.
INSTALLATION WARNING
• The product must not be exposed to any dripping or splashing and thus it should be installed indoors and in a dry location.
• Humidity and condensation could damage the product. In case of condensation, wait until the product is dry before using it.
• Handle the product carefully. Impacts can damage the product.
• Leave enough space around the product to ensure sufcient ventilation.
• Excessive temperatures and/or an overheating may affect the performance and the life of the product.
• Don’t install the product above or near any heat sources, in dusty places or where it might come into contact with corrosive substances..
• In the event that the unit is xed to the wall, use the proper screw anchors suitable to the characteristics of the xing support.
The wall and the anchoring system must be able to support at least 4 times the weight of the unit.
• Warning: to avoid injury, this appliance must be secured to the wall / oor depending on the installation instructions.
• The product must be connected to the grounding electrode of the antenna system in compliance with standard EN 60728-11.
The screw provided for this purpose is marked with the symbol .
• We recommend that you comply with the provisions of standard EN 60728-11 and do not connect this screw to the Protective Earth of the electricity supply.

2. DESCRIZIONE DEI PRODOTTI - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
ENG: dCSS technology compact adapter, 4 inputs and 4 outputs user derivatives, two SCD2 (dCSS) outputs and two Legacies. The product can be used both as an adapter,
to turn the standard Multiswitch Legacy into a two output SCD2(dCSS) and two Legacies, or as a compact Multiswitch. By using this Adapter, you can update specic
portions of existing installations and make them compatible with the SCR(SCD) decoders and the new SCD2(dCSS) SKY-Q decoders. When the Adapter is connected
to the outputs of the pre-existing multiswitch, it does not change the level or the quality of the signal distributed along the installations and it allows the update of the
specic user’s derivative without affecting the signal received by the users who are not involved in the update. The Adapter also has two single cable outputs, SCD1(SCR)/
SCD2(dCSS), and two outputs that work in standard legacy mode and are a perfect clone of the operation of the connected multiswitch. Therefore, by using a suitable
number of Adapters for each group of four pre-existing legacy users in the installation, two of the user’s installations can be updated to the single cable mode (SCD). An
Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is present in each input and it keeps a specic output level despite the changes of the input signal, furthermore it can also transfer the
terrestrial signal from the multiswitch to the output making it visible to the pre-existing distribution of the terrestrial signal in the installation. The Adapter can be fed by
the decoders’ SCD outputs; if the decoders cannot support the whole absorption of the device, an external additional feeder can be connected by the DC-IN connector.
A green LED positioned on the lowest part of the unit shows that the unit is ON, when the yellow LED is ON it means that auxiliary feed is being used. A green LED on the
lowest part of the unit switches on when the unit is fed properly, a yellow LED, beside the green one, is ON when a power supply source is detected in the DC-IN port. The
product is compatible with any 12V-18V feeder, such as SPS1750 or PSU1506. It can be used as a compact multiswitch by interfacing it directly with a 4 universal output LNB
(UX-QD LTE) or with HV-HV (UX-QT LTE) type outputs.

Adattatore è possibile operare aggiornamenti mirati di porzioni di impianti esistenti rendendole compatibili con i decoder SCR(SCD) e con i nuovi decoder SCD2(dCSS)
SKY-Q. Trovandosi l’Adattatore collegato alle uscite del multiswitch preesistente, esso non altera in alcun modo il livello o la qualità del segnale distribuito lungo l’impianto,
consentendo di aggiornare solo le derivate utente interessate senza timore di possibili effetti sul segnale ricevuto dagli utenti non coinvolti nell’aggiornamento. L’Adattatore
possiede poi due uscite monocavo SCD1(SCR)/SCD2(dCSS) e altre due che funzionano in modalità legacy tradizionale e costituiscono una replica fedele del funzionamento
originale del multiswitch collegato. Con l’uso di un numero adeguato di Adattatori perciò, per ogni gruppo di quattro utenze legacy preesistenti nell’impianto è possibile
aggiornarne due alla modalità monocavo(SCD). Per ogni ingresso è presente un Controllo Automatico del Guadagno (CAG) grazie al quale viene mantenuto un determi-
nato livello di uscita, nonostante le variazioni del segnale di ingresso, è anche in grado di trasferire in uscita il segnale terrestre eventualmente erogato dal multiswitch,
rendendo la sua presenza trasparente per la distribuzione preesistente del segnale terrestre nell’impianto. L’Adattatore può essere interamente alimentato dai decoder
attraverso le sue uscite SCD; nel caso tuttavia in cui essi non siano in grado di reggere l’intero assorbimento del dispositivo è possibile collegare un alimentatore esterno
ausiliario tramite l’apposito connettore DC-IN. Un led verde situato nella parte inferiore del prodotto ne indica la corretta accensione mentre un led giallo indica la presenza
dell’alimentazione ausiliaria. Un led verde situato nella parte inferiore del prodotto si accenderà quando il dispositivo è alimentato correttamente e un led giallo accanto
a quello verde indica che una sorgente di alimentazione viene rilevata alla porta DC-IN. Il prodotto è perfettamente compatibile con qualsiasi alimentatore con tensione
12V-18V, ad esempio SPS1750 o PSU1506. Può essere utilizzato anche come multiswitch compatto, interfacciandolo direttamente sia con LNB a 4 uscite universali (UX-QD
LTE), sia di tipo HV-HV (UX-QT LTE).

3. INSTALLAZIONE DEI PRODOTTI - PRODUCT INSTALLATION
ENG: The Adapter can be fed by the decoders connected to the user’s output, if the connected decoders cannot feed the product, an auxiliary feeder can be connected
to the DC-IN output. The unit can be used in the two SCD outputs both by decoders that support the new DiSEqC-SCD2 (dCSS) protocol and decoders that support the
DiSEqC-SCR (SCD) protocol only. The other two outputs can be used with traditional decoders only. It can be integrated to existing installations (see the  gures 4-5-6-7-8).

4. ISTRUZIONI PER L’UTILIZZO - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ENG: For the correct operation of the AGC (Automatic Gain Control), ensure that you enter a correct signal level (i.e. 65-95dBμV). To divide the SCD2(dCSS) output signal to
more than one decoder only use the dividers and not the shunts, because the shunts do not allow the passage of the command tones from the decoder to the Multiswitch.
To use output 1 or 2, you need a decoder that manages the DiSEqC-SCR (SCD) protocol and the new DiSEqC-SCD2 (dCSS) protocol. Attention: for the system to work
correctly, the decoder must be con gured according to the frequencies and the protocol to be used (dCSS, SCR, Legacy).
ITA: Per un corretto funzionamento del CAG (controllo automatico del guadagno) accertarsi di entrare con un livello corretto del segnale (65-95dBμV). Per dividere il
segnale d’uscita SCD2(dCSS) verso più decoder utilizzare esclusivamente partitori e non derivatori, in quanto questi ultimi non permettono il passaggio dei toni di comando
dal decoder al Multiswitch. Per poter utilizzare l’uscita 1 e 2 è necessario disporre un decoder che gestisca il protocollo DiSEqC-SCR (SCD), e il nuovo protocollo DiSEqC-
SCD2 (dCSS). Attenzione: per un corretto funzionamento del sistema il decoder deve essere opportunamente con gurato con le frequenze e il protocollo che si vuole
utilizzare (dCSS, SCR, Legacy).
