IM PORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Read all instructions before using this appliance. Use this appliance only for its intended
purpose as described in this instruction manual. Always exercise basic safety precautions,
as described below. After reading the instruction manual, store it in an accessible place
where the user(s) of this product can easily find it.
The purpose of these safety precautions is to ensure safe and correct use of the product to
minimize risks that could cause serious damage and injury to you or others. The safety
precautions are divided into WARNINGS and CAUTIONS. Cases where improper
handling of the unit could lead to death or serious injury are listed under the WARNING
heading. However, the cases listed under CAUTION could also lead to serious results. To
ensure safety, adhere strictly to both types of safety precautions.
1. All repairs, disassembly and modifications should be performed only by qualified
technicians. Attempting to perform these yourself could result in a fire, malfunction
and injury.
2. Never splash water directly onto the product or wash with water without unplugging as
a short circuit could result. In a rainy environment, a water-proof covering is
recommended.
3. Never put flammable or volatile substances into unit as explosion and fire could result.
4. Do not damage, modify, excessively bend, strain, twist or bundle the power cord. Also,
placing heavy objects on the power cord or binding it could damage the cord, possibly
resulting in electrical shock or fire.
5. Use a dedicated wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or multiple-outlet adaptor as
this could result in electrical shock, overheating and fire.
6. Never use flammable spray cans or leave flammable substances near the unit. Sparks
from electrical switches could result in explosion or fire. If a combustible gas is present
near the appliance, turn off the source of the gas, then open the windows and doors to
allow the gas to dissipate. Do not pull the plug or switch off the unit to avoid an
explosion.
7. The electrical socket must have good grounding. The ground wire cannot be
connected with a gas pipe, heating pipe, water pipe, telephone line or lightning rod. It
cannot be replaced with the neutral wire of single-phase power. In addition to the
ground wire, an electrical leakage circuit breaker is also required.
8. If installation in a damp location is unavoidable, have an electrician install a ground
fault circuit interrupter (GFCl) electrical outlet. If no GFCl is installed, electrical shock
could result.

9.Never climb onto the unit. The unit couldtip over or fall and causematerialdamage or
personal injury.
10.Disconnectthe powercord plug from thewall outlet before moving the unit and make
sure that the power cord is not damaged during transport. A damaged power cord
could result in electrical shock and/or fire.
11.Never unplugtheunit bypullingon the powercord. Always gripthe plugfirmly andpull
straight out from the outlet. Pulling the cord could cause wire breakage, possibly
resulting in overheating and fire.
12.Repair or replace any cord that is frayed. Do not use a cord that shows cracks or
abrasions along its length.
1.This Beverage Cooler must be properly installed in accordance with the installation
instructions before it is used. See grounding instructions in the Installation section.
2. This model can either be built-in or free-standing. Built-in units vent at the bottom front
and airflow at the front of this vent must be unimpeded.
3. Install the unit in a location where the floor is sturdy enough to support the load of the
unit. If the floor is not sturdy enough or installation is incorrectly performed, the unit
could tip over and cause personal injury.
If the unit is placed on a stand, the front surface must be 3" or more back from the edge
of the stand in order to avoid accidental tipping of the appliance during normal usage.
4. Never place heavy objects or items containing water on top of the unit. Objects could
fall and cause injury and spilled water could cause the deterioration of the insulation of
electrical components and result in electrical shock.
5. Disconnect the unit if it is behaving abnormally, and do not reconnect until the situation
is corrected.
6. Pull out the plug before doing any maintenance on the unit to avoid electric shock.
7. Never pull out plug when hands are wet!
8. This unit is not intended for the storage of medicines or chemical reagents.
9. Keep packing materials away from children.
10. During long absences, remove the Cooler's contents, unplug the unit, clean it and
leave the door open slightly to avoid possible formation of condensation, mold or
odors. Use a cover to protect the unit and prolong its lifespan.
11. Leave disassembly and disposal of the unit to qualified experts.

SAVE THESE INS TRUCTIONS!
DANGER!
Risk of child entrapment! Before discarding your old refrigerator:

Installation
Remove the exterior and interior packaging. Use a soft dry cloth to wipe down the outside
of the Beverage Cooler thoroughly. Use a clean cloth dampened with lukewarm water to
wipe down the inside of the Cooler.
Air must circulate freely in front of the Beverage Cooler. Avoid placing the Cooler near any
source of heat or moisture, or in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may affect the finish, and
nearby heat sources will cause higher electrical consumption. This model, FBC36OD, is
supplied with a plastic cover that should be placed over the unit when the Cooler is not in
use.
The FBC36OD Outdoor Beverage Cooler is designed to be either free-standing or built-in.
It has motorized fans at the back of the unit that direct compressor-generated heat away
from the compressor and through the front of the unit. Other than keeping the front vents
unobstructed, there are no clearance requirements for this unit.
The FBC36OD Beverage Cooler is supplied with two sets of feet.
a) For normal outdoor use, there are 4 rolling casters, 2 with locking mechanisms that
should be installed at the back, and 2 without locks for the front. The casters allow
the unit to be wheeled into place; the rear wheels should be locked once the unit is
in position.
b) For indoor use, there are 4 leveling legs that should be installed and then turned to
level the unit. This reduces vibrations.
Electrical Connection
Important! For your personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded. In
the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of shock by providing an
escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a
grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an outlet that is
properly grounded and installed. The ground wire cannot be connected to a gas pipe,
heating pipe, water pipe, telephone line or lightning rod. It cannot be replaced with the
neutral wire of single-phase power. In addition to the ground wire, an electrical leakage
circuit breaker is also required. Consult a qualified electrician if you do not completely
understand these grounding instructions.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD (GROUND)
PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD.
If installation in a damp location is unavoidable, have an electrician install a ground fault
circuit interrupter (GFCl) electrical outlet. If no GFCl is installed, electrical shock could
result.
5

Do Not Use an Extension Cord
Avoid the use of an extension cord because of potential safety hazards under certain
conditions.
Operating Your Beverage Cooler
IMPORTANT: Do not plug in the Beverage Cooler for 24 hours after unit is set in place.
Failure to do so may result in the unit working improperly.
Two-Compartment Design
The FBC36OD Beverage Cooler has two separate compartments. Each compartment
has its own door and separate control panel. The right-hand compartment has 3
adjustable chrome-plated flat wire shelves and a wire basket to hold cans and bottles of
beverages such as beer, water and soft drinks. The lefthand compartment of the
FBC36OD comes equipped with 5 horizontal wire racks and an inclined rack that can hold
a total of 18 standard wine bottles. This design enables you to operate one or both
compartments and also allows you to set a different temperature for each compartment.
Each control panel displays the current temperature inside that compartment and allows
you to turn the interior lights on and off independently of each other. The operating
instructions below apply to both compartments and must be implemented separately.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Turning On the Unit
The Beverage Cooler turns on automatically when it is plugged in.
If you want to use the Automatic Temperature (default) setting, do nothing further. The
FBC36OD will automatically set the temperature in the wine compartment at 55°F (13°C)
and in the beverage compartment at 41°F (5°C). If you want to set other temperatures, see
below.
Temperature Settings
While wines store best at temperatures around 56-58°F, the FBC360D outdoor unit also
allows you to store wine at drinking temperatures. Generally, RED WINE should be kept at
60-61°t= and WHITE WINE, which is usually served chilled, is best kept at 54-55°t=. For
beer and soft drinks, choose the temperature setting that is most agreeable to you and
your guests.

To adjust the temperature, press the SET button, then use the UP/DOWN keys to navigate
to the preferred temperature. For example, if you are storing red wine, you may want to set
a temperature of 61 degrees Fahrenheit.
When the correct temperature appears in the DISPLAY window of the control panel, press
SET to confirm. Remember that each compartment has separate controls so you will need
to set the temperature in each compartment separately.
PLEASE NOTE: Cold air falls and warmer air rises, and there will be a small temperature
variation from the bottom to the top of the unit. The temperature sensor is located in the
middle of each compartment and records the temperature at that point. The temperature at
the bottom of the unit will always be slightly colder.
Drip Tray
At the rear of the unit, near the bottom, you can see a plastic tray positioned above the
compressor. This tray catches water that condenses inside the appliance. Heat from the
normal operation of the compressor should evaporate the water that collects in the tray.
Interior Lights
Each compartment has an interior light that can be turned on or off by pressing the
ON/OFF button located on the left side of each control panel. It is not a good idea to leave
these lights on for too long. They can raise the internal temperature of the compartments.
For instructions on replacement of bulbs, see page 9.
Compressor Run Indicator
When your unit's compressor is running, either one or both control panels will display
moving icons representing a running fan. If the compressor stops running, the icons will
stop running as well.
Memorizing Temperature Settings
Your unit has been designed to "remember" the last run mode to which it was set. If you
suffer a power outage or any other power cutoff, the unit will automatically return to the
previous temperature settings after power is returned.
About the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
When you press any key, a blue backlight will appear in the Display Panel. If no other key
is pressed, the backlight will automatically go out after 2 minutes.
In the event that there is a fault in the unit, an ALARM indication will appear on the screen.
ALARM Mode
In ALARM mode, the unit will make a beeping sound and display an alarm message. If the
LCD on the control panel displays any of the following messages: PROBE ERROR, LOW
TEMP or HIGH TEMP, consult the Troubleshooting section of this manual.
7

Racks, Basket and Shelving
The racks, shelves and basket in your unit are chrome-plated so they will not rust. The
racks pull out only 1/3 of the way. This is a safety feature so that neither the machine nor
the rack will tip over. Space between shelves is adjustable.
Special Features of the FBC36OD Outdoor Beverage Cooler
Because this model is intended for outdoor use, it has several noteworthy features.
The outer cabinet of the unit is made of weather-resistant stainless steel. The plastic trim
and the glass in the doors have been specially treated to minimize the effects of the sun's
harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This unit can withstand outdoor temperatures from
100°F to 25°F, and has a built-in heater that will activate itself automatically when the
temperature gets too low. The FBC36OD has been "tropicalized" with extra condenser
lines to help handle excessive ambient temperatures.
Timed Defrosting
Another feature of the FBC36OD beverage cooler is that the defrosting cycle will begin
automatically once the power has been on for 12 hours. Because of the low temperatures
inside the unit, frost or ice may begin to accumulate. During the defrosting cycle, the
interior fans run and the ice melts. The water thus produced flows to the bottom of the unit
and collects in the drip tray on top of the compressor, where heat from the compressor
should evaporate it. (Check occasionally to see if the tray needs to be dumped manually.)
When the defrosting cycle is complete, the unit will resume normal operation.
During the defrosting cycle, the LCD display will show the average temperature inside the
unit, and the word STOP will flash once a second. During defrosting, temperatures inside
the unit will rise a little.
Normal defrosting time for the FBC36OD is 20 minutes.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Outside
Unplug your Beverage Cooler. Clean the outside of your unit with a cloth dampened in
mild soapy water. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. To clean the door gasket, use only mild
soapy water. Never use harsh cleansers or scouring pads to clean any part of your Cooler.
Cleaning the Inside
Unplug your Beverage Cooler and remove its contents. Rinse the inside surfaces with
plain water and dry the chrome racks, basket and shelving.

Replacement of the interior lights
Warning: To avoid an electric shock, unplug the unit when replacing the lamp bulb.

The lamp base is E26; the rated power of the bulb is 15W. Use a bulb of the same rating
when replacing. When replacing a light bulb, remove the screw at the back of the lamp,
then, to release the cover, push it firmly backward and then carefully pull down. Replace
bulb with the same size and type of bulb and fix the cover back into place.
Protecting waterproof seals
WARNING! Do not open the electrical control box on the upper rear panel of this
appliance since this will break the waterproof seal around the control box. When this box
is serviced by a professional, a waterproof sealant must be applied to the box after
maintenance.
Similarly, do not attempt to open the digital control panels on the doors of the unit. This will
damage the waterproof seal around the panels.

Troubleshooting
Unit does not turn on
Not plugged in.
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped.
Noise or vibration
Check that unit is level.
Unit is too warm
Check that doors are properly sealed.
To change the temperature, follow the steps in the Operating Your Beverage Cooler
section of this manual.
LCD displays "PROBE ERROR- E"
This message is an ALARM MODE indication. The LCD displays "PROBE ERROR"
on the left and "E" in the middle when the thermostatic sensor has malfunctioned.
When this happens, the Cooler first stops working for 25 minutes, then turns ON for 30
minutes and OFF for 20 minutes automatically and continuously. Contact your
authorized service facility for sensor replacement.
LCD displays "LOW TEMP"
This message is an ALARM MODE indication. The LCD displays "LOW TEMP" on the
left and the letter "L" in the middle. It indicates that the actual temperature in the
compartment is 32°F or lower and that the magnet valve may not be functioning
properly and should be replaced. Contact your authorized service facility immediately.
LCD displays "HIGH TEMP"
This message is an ALARM MODE indication. The LCD displays "HIGH TEMP" on the
left and the actual temperature reading in the middle. It indicates that the actual
temperature is much higher than your set temperature. Possible causes are:
• One or both of the doors might not be fully closed.
• The refrigerant may have leaked.
• The magnet valve may not be functioning properly and should be replaced.
If you are certain that the doors are not the cause of the problem, contact your
authorized service facility immediately.
LCD displays "H" or "L"
If either message is displayed in the Temperature Display zone in the middle of the
LCD, the ambient temperature around your appliance may be beyond the range of the
two-digit LCD, which can only display temperatures between -9°F and 99°F. If the
ambient temperature is below-9°F, an "L" will be displayed (but not "LOW TEMP"). If
the temperature is above 99°F, an ""H" will be displayed.
These occurrences are not malfunctions. Either move your unit to a more suitable
location or change the ambient temperature.

separement.
MODE D'EMPLOI

R_glages de temperature
Alors que le vin se conserve mieux a des temp6ratures comprises entre 56 et 58 degr6s
Fahrenheff (13 et 14 degr6s Celsius), I'unit6 d'ext6rieur FBC360D vous permet
6galement de conserver le vin a la temp6rature a laquelle vous le boirez. En g6n6ral, le
VIN ROUGE doit 8tre conserv6 a 60-61°F (15-16°C) et le VIN BLANC, qui est en g6n6ral
servi plus froid, a 54-55°t= (12-13°C) de pr6f6rence. Pour les bieres et les sodas,
choisissez la temp6rature convenant le mieux a vos invit6s ainsi qu'a vous-m8me.
Pour r6gler la temp6rature, appuyez sur le bouton SET (r6gler), puis utilisez les touches
vers le HAUT/BAS pour atteindre la temp6rature pr6f6r6e. Par exemple, si vous
conservez du vin rouge, vous pouvez r6gler la temp6rature sur 61 degr6s Fahrenheit (16
degr6s Celsius).
I'unit6 seront a des temperatures 16gerement differentes. La sonde de temperature est
situee au milieu de chaque compartiment et enregistre la temperature a ce point. La
temperature du bas de I'unite sera toujours legerement inferieure.
Plateau d'6gouttement
