Congratulations on your purchase of this vehicle security system. In learning to
operate your security system, please become familiar with the following three principal
components: the Remote Transmitter, the Red LED Status Light, and the Valet Switch.
The Remote Transmitter: Each security system comes with two pre-learned
transmitters, but can learn up to 4 different transmitters. The transmitter has two buttons:
one large button and a smaller button. This system is pre-programmed, through a built-in
learning routine, to have the transmitter buttons work in the following configuration:
The large button is used to arm, disarm and panic the security system.
The small button pressed for 2 seconds operates the optional trunk release feature.
Pressingthe small buttontwice within two seconds will arm ordisarm the systemwithout
the siren chirp confirmation (silent arm/disarm). The small button can be used, in
conjunction with the large button, to operate remote sensor bypass.
Bothbuttons pressedtogethercanbeusedtoactivatethe3rdChanneloutputorengage
the Anti-Carjacking feature, provided it is programmed to operate.
The Valet Switch: This switch is used to prevent automatic system functions such
asLastDoor Arming or AutomaticRearmingby placing the systemintoValet Mode. The
Valet Switch is also used, with the ignition key, to disarm the security system in the event
the transmitter becomes inoperable, and this switch is also used in the procedure for
programming features and transmitters.

Arming The Security System
"Arming" your security system, or placing it into a state whereby an intrusion attempt
willactivate it,maybedoneby twomethods.First,thetransmitter maybeusedto"actively"
arm the system, provided the ignition switch is "off" and the system is not in Valet Mode.
Second, an automatic method of "passively" arming the security system is Last Door
Arming. This method may be selectively programmed to operate or not operate, and if
utilized, it will operate in conjunction with Active Arming.
Active Arming The Security System Using The Transmitter: The security
systemcanalwaysbearmedwiththetransmitteriftheignitionswitchis“off”andthesystem
is not in the Valet Mode. To arm the system after you exit the vehicle and close all doors,
simply press the large transmitter button once. The parking lights will flash once, the siren
will chirp once, and the LED Status Light will begin flashing, confirming that the system
is arming. Provided the optional doorlock interface was installed, the doors will also lock
upon arming, and the optional starter interrupt relay will prevent any attempt to start the
vehicle. Three seconds after the siren chirp the system becomes fully armed, and will
activate if an intrusion attempt is detected.
Arming Bypass: Upon active arming, if the hood/trunk circuit or shock sensor is in a
violated state, the system will arm with three siren confirmation chirps and three parking
light flashes to alert you. When this occurs, protection for that circuit will be bypassed, but Page - 6
protection will be reinstated for the affected circuit if its normal state is restored. For
example,if thetrunkisleftopen, youcanstillarmthe systemnormallyfromthetransmitter.
The bypassed circuit will automatically be reinstated for protection three seconds after that
circuit becomes operative, i.e., the trunk is closed. When a circuit is in a bypassed state, all
other operating circuits will be protected normally. If desired, the system may be
programmed so that an open door will also produce this three siren chirp and light flash
warning.
Auxiliary Sensor Bypass: When actively arming the security system, the auxiliary
sensor,if present, maybe bypassed ifdesired. After armingthe system, withinfive seconds
of hearing the arming confirmation chirp, press the small transmitter button. You will hear
another siren chirp confirming the security system has armed without the sensor circuit
protecting the vehicle. The next time you arm the security system, the system will reset to
its normal condition, and the sensor will again be part of your protection.
Passively Arming The Security System With The Last Door Arming
Feature: The security system can be programmed to arm itself automatically when the
vehicle'slastdoorisclosed.Themomentthelastdoorclosesthesystembeginsacountdown.
Once the countdown begins the system will give one chirp and the parking lights will flash
once, confirming that all points of entry are closed, and the arming process is in progress.
This period is indicated by a fast-flashing LED Status Light. Thirty seconds after the last
door was closed, the siren will chirp again, the parking lights will flash once, and the LED
Status Light will flash slow three seconds later, confirming that the alarm is fully armed. If
apoint of entry is reopened before thesingle chirp and parking flash, the LastDoor Arming
willbesuspendeduntilthe point of entry isreclosed.Whenthe30 second siren chirp occurs
the alarm will become armed; the doors will lock if the door lock interface is installed and
the"DoorsLockWithLastDoorArmingandAutomaticRearming"featureisturnedon,and
the optional starter disable engages. Three seconds later the LED Status Light will flash
slow,confirming that thealarm is now fully armed. The"Last Door Arming"feature offers
a high level of security, since you do not have to remember to arm the alarm system each
time you exit your vehicle. In addition, Last Door arming may entitle you to an insurance
discount.
Please note the following parameters of the Last Door Arming feature:
-ArmingBypass does notoperate with the Last DoorArming feature. This bypassfeature
only operates when arming from the transmitter because all protected entries must be
closed for the Last Door Arming countdown to start.
-Toprevent the security system from Last DoorArming while vehicle is being refueled or
at other times automatic arming is not desired, you should put the system in Valet Mode
or you may keep your door open. Leaving the ignition switch "on" is not recommended.
-Youcanstill arm the alarm instantlyfromthe transmitter at anytimeduringthe30 second
Last Door Arming countdown. Page - 7
Security System Armed And Activated
While the security system is in an armed state, the LED Status Light will be flashing. In
this mode, any entry or optional sensor violation will instantly activate the system. Once
activated, the following actions will occur:
1) The electronic siren will start sounding, and every 5 seconds the siren will change
its sound to generate more attention to the vehicle.
2) The exterior lights will flash during the activation period.
3) Ifconfigured,thedoorswillrelock.Thisfeatureissouniquetothissecuritysystem
thatit even knows when adoor is opened and, ifso, the system waits untilthe door
is closed before relocking them, so that the thief cannot easily regain entry.
Thesirenandlightswillstayactivefor60secondsbeforeautomaticallyresetting,unless
youdisarmthesystemwiththetransmitterorValetSwitchandignitionkey. Ifallprotected
entriesare secureat the end of the 60 seconds, the system will stopand rearmautomatically
to detect, and respond to, another entry attempt. If there is a protected entry still open, or a
sensor still in a triggered state at the end of 60 seconds, the system will reactivate for two
more 60 second cycles. The system will stop after a total of 3 minutes and rearm
automatically, while ignoring only the open entry or triggered circuit. When the entry is
closed, protection will instantly be reinstated for that circuit.
Afterthesecuritysystemistriggered,thedisarmconfirmationwillnolongerbe2chirps,
and the exterior lights staying on for 30 seconds. Instead, the system will respond by
producing 4 siren chirps and flashing the lights 4 times before the lights stay on for 30

seconds. The LED Status Light will change to flashing one to five times between pauses,
which indicates which protected zone triggered the system. The LED Status Light will
continue flashing this violation code until the ignition key is turned “on”, thus clearing the
system's LED Status Light memory circuit. If desired, the system may be programmed for
30 second activation cycles instead of 60 second activated cycles.
Whilethesecuritysystemisinthearmedcondition,pressingthelargetransmitterbutton
once will instantly disarm the system and unlock the doors, provided an optional interface
was installed. Disarming is confirmed by the siren chirping twice and the parking lights
turning on for 30 seconds to illuminate the way to your car, except under the following
conditions: first, the parking lights will turn off 10 seconds after a door is opened, and
second, the parking lights turn off instantly when the ignition is turned "on".
However,if thesecurity systemwas activatedand reset while you are away, the disarm
confirmationwillchangeto4sirenchirps,4parkinglightflashes,andthentheparkinglights
will stay on for 30 seconds. The alarm will have this response upon every disarming until
the ignition switch is turned "on", which will clear the LED Status Light memory.
Anytime the security system activates, the LED Status Light will indicate which
protectedzonecausedtheactivationbyflashingonetofivetimesbetweenpauses. Thiscode
will continue to flash, even after disarming, until it is cleared by turning the ignition switch
"on". The system can retain up to five violation codes in its memory.

Safety Disarm/Storm Mode: While the system is activated, i.e. sounding the siren
and flashing the lights, pressing the large transmitter button will disarm the system only.
The system will not chirp twice or illuminate the parking lights, nor unlock the doors
if the system is configured to also operate the door locks. This safety feature ensures that
the vehicle remain secure should the system require disarming due to being activated from
nuisance or malicious sensory inputs. To remotely unlock the doors if the system is
disarmed while activated, repeat the arm/disarm operation by pressing and releasing the
largetransmitterbuttononce,thenagain. Ifdisarmedfromapanicmode,thenormaldisarm
indications are present, including the unlocking of the doors.
AutomaticRearming:Onoccasionpeoplehaveaccidentallydisarmedtheirsecurity
system by playing with the transmitter or by unknowingly transmitting from a purse or
pocket. Toprevent accidentaldisarming,iftheAutomatic RearmingFeatureisutilized,the
systemwillautomaticallyrearmitself90secondsafterdisarming,unlesstheignitionswitch
is turned "on". If the "Doors Lock With Automatic Rearming" Programmable Feature is
utilized, the doors will also lock when the system automatically rearms. Automatic
RearmingisindicatedbyafastflashingLEDStatusLight.Oncetheignitionswitchisturned
"on", the system will stay in the disarmed condition until you are ready to arm the system
againfrom the transmitteror from theLast Door ArmingFeature. Opening a doorwill also
cancel Automatic Rearming, although the countdown will resume when the door is shut if
Last Door Arming is on. In this case, while the door is open, the LED Status Light will be
on steady until the door is shut, upon which time it will resume flashing fast. Regardless
of either condition, if the ignition is turned "on", all automatic arming functions will cease.

The Valet Switch And Valet Modes
The Valet Switch may be used to keep the security system from actively or passively
arming during extended stopovers at service stations, for maintenance, valet parking, car
washing, etc., by placing the system into Valet Mode. There are two forms of Valet Mode:
first is Easy ValetTM, whereby a disarmed system may be placed into Valet Mode without
the ignition key, and the second form is Valet Override, which will disarm an armed or
activated system and requires the use of the ignition key.
Easy ValetTM:This unique feature can be activated anytime the alarm is in the
disarmed condition. Easy ValetTM is unique because other security systems require the
ignition switch to be "on", but with this system, the ignition can be either "on" or "off".
In a threatening situation, the transmitter may be used to fully activate the system,
sounding the siren, flashing the parking lights and relocking the doors (if configured with
adoorlock interface). Evenif the ignition is on, Remote Panic can be activated bypressing
and holding the transmitter's large button for two seconds. The system will automatically
reset after 60 seconds, or the transmitter's large button may be pressed and released again
to deactivate the Remote Panic feature.

Whenever the security system is disarmed, simply depress the Easy ValetTM Switch for
two seconds to achieve the Valet Mode, then release. The system will confirm it is in the
Valet Mode with two siren chirps, and the LED Status Light will become constantly
illuminated. The system will hold memory of the Valet Mode condition while the ignition
is"on"or"off".WhileintheValetMode, the transmitters can still operate the Panic feature,
anoptional powerdoorlockinterface,oroptionaltrunkrelease.Additionally,the doors will
lock when the ignition is turned "on" and unlock when turned "off"', if this programmable
featureis beingutilized.EasyValetTM Modepreventsactive(viatransmitter) orpassive(via
Last Door Arming or Automatic Rearming) arming of the system.
ValetOverride-DisarmingTheSecuritySystemWithoutTheTransmitter:
In the event the transmitter is lost, damaged, or its batteries become exhausted, the Easy
ValetTM Switch and your ignition key may be used to disarm the system:
Step 1:With the system in the armed condition, enter via the driver's door (be aware that
the alarm will activate when the door is opened).
Step 2:Using your key, turn "on" the ignition.
Step 3:Within10seconds,pressandholdtheEasyValetTM Switchandthealarmwilldisarm
instantly.
The Easy ValetTM Switch is also part of the programming operations for learning new
transmitter codes and changing programmable features.

The Red LED Status Light
The LED Status Light is used as a visual indicator of the different states that the
security system can be in at any given time. Additionally, it is also used as part of the
Automatic Transmitter Verification, the Zone Violation, and the Zone Testing features.
The Red LED Status Light is normally positioned in a location that is easily observed by
the driver, and these are the possible conditions reflected by the LED Status Light:
Security System Status: The primary function of the Red LED Status Light is
indicate the following normal operating parameters of the security system:
1) Off = The system is disarmed and not performing any automatic
functions.
2) On Constant = The system is in the Valet Mode.
3) Flashing Slow = The system is fully Armed.
4) Flashing Fast = The 30 second Last Door Arming or the 90 second Automatic
Rearming features are in progress.
Automatic Transmitter VerificationTM:After the ignition is turned "on", the
LEDStatusLight will flashtoindicate the number oftransmitters programmed to operate
the security system. For example: two flashes and a pause indicates that only two
transmitters are coded to operate the system. This feature normally operates for a 10
second period every time the ignition switch is turned "on".
5) 1 flash and pause = 1 transmitter code is stored in the system's memory.
6) 2 flashes and pause = 2 transmitter codes are stored in the system's memory.
7) 3 flashes and pause = 3 transmitter codes are stored in the system's memory.
8) 4 flashes and pause = 4 transmitter codes are stored in the system's memory.
ZoneViolation:If the system is activated the Red LED Status Light will start to flash
and pause the #9 through #13 sequences to indicate which protected circuit caused the
activation. This is seen while the system is activated and after disarming. The flash codes
will continue until the ignition switch is turned "on", which will clear the system's
memory. Five different Zone Violation codes can be stored by the system.
9) 1 flash and pause = System was activated by current sensing.
10) 2 flashes and pause = System was activated from the hood or trunk circuit.
11) 3 flashes and pause = System was activated from the door circuit.
12) 4 flashes and pause = System was activated from the auxiliary input.
13) 5 flashes and pause = System was activated from the auxiliary prewarn input.
ZoneTesting:Every time the ignition keyisturnedoff,theLEDStatusLightwillflash
and pause the #14 through #18 code to indicate if and when a protected circuit, or "zone",
is in an activated state. For example: open a door after the ignition is turned off and the Red
LED Status Light will start flashing 3 times and pause until the door is closed. If another
protected entry point is violated while the door is still open, then the Red LED Status Light
will alternatively indicate all activated protected zones.

14) 1 flash and pause = System is detecting a current draw.
15) 2 flashes and pause = System is detecting a violated hood or trunk circuit.
16) 3 flashes and pause = System is detecting a violated door circuit.
17) 4 flashes and pause = System is detecting a violated auxiliary input.
18) 5 flashes and pause = System is detecting a violated auxiliary prewarn input.

Siren And Parking Light Confirmation
The Security system's electronic siren and the vehicle's parking lights are utilized to
indicate a number of events or processes associated with the system's operation:
1) One siren chirp & one light flash: The system has started a passive Last Door Arming
countdown and will become armed after the 30 second countdown expires. This chirp
indicatesthatthestarterinterruptwillengageandthedoorswilllockwhenthealarmwill
become fully armed 30 seconds later.
2) Onesirenchirp,onelight flash, & doors lock(ifequippedthusly):The system hasarmed
passivelyoractivelyfromthetransmitter.Theoptionalstarterinterrupthasengagedand
doors have locked. The sensory circuits will become operational 3 seconds later.
3) One siren chirp after the arming chirp above: The shock sensor circuit is bypassed by
pressing the small transmitter button within 3 seconds of pressing the large button.
4) One siren chirp, and no light flash, but only at the moment the ignition switch is turned
"off": The alarm is in Valet Mode, and will not arm either actively or passively.
5) Twosirenchirps&thelightsstayonfor30seconds: Thesystemhasjustbeendisarmed,
unless disarmed from an activated (triggered) state.
6) Foursirenchirps&fourlight flashes, then the lights stay onfor30seconds:The system
has just disarmed and was activated while you were away. The system will have this
disarming confirmation until the ignition switch is turned "on".
7) Two short siren chirps: The system has just entered the Valet Mode.
8) Siren sounding, changing sounds every 5 seconds, and lights flashing on and off: The
system is in an activated state.
9) A series of siren chirps lasting two seconds while the system is armed: The Prewarning
feature has been activated.
The FREEDOM-200+P features a Domelight Supervision output which will allow the
installer to easily configure the vehicle's domelight to illuminate in conjunction with the
parking lights. When utilized, the Domelight Supervision feature will enhance your
personalsecurity byallowingtheinspectionof theinteriorupondisarmingat night. Adding
the Domelight Supervision feature typically requires an optional relay.

Thissystemallowstheeasyadditionofanauxiliarysensorwhichwillactivatethesystem
if a shock or impact to the vehicle is detected. Your system is equipped with a Prewarning
feature,whichrequiresconnectionofanDual-Zonesensor. Whenequipped,aminorimpact
will cause the security system to respond by chirping the siren for two seconds. After this
featurehasbeenactivated5timesitwillautomaticallyshutdownuntilthesystemisrearmed
again. If the vehicle experiences a major impact, a Dual-Zone sensor will fully activate the
security system.

Trunk Release And 3rd Channel Output
The FREEDOM-200+P has two additional outputs for enhanced flexibility and conve-
nience. The first of these outputs is commonly used for trunk or rear hatch release. This
output is activated by pressing and holding the transmitter's small button for two seconds.
This operation may also be programmed to automatically disarm the system if it is armed.
The3rdChanneloutputiscommonlyusedtoactivateoptionalequipmentsuchasremote
car starters. This feature is enhanced especially for remote starting: the when 3rd Channel
is utilized, system will ignore the shock sensor and ignition circuits if it is armed. Further,
if any of the other trigger circuits are violated, the system will be activated and the remote
starterwillbeturnedoff,stoppingtheengine. Also,pleasesee"TransmitterActivatedAnti-
Carjacking"inthe ProgrammableFeaturessectionforanexplanation of thisrelatedfeature.
Programmable Features
The FREEDOM-200+P security system has 16 Programmable Features, that may be
easilychangedthroughtheFeaturesProgrammingMode. TheProgrammableFeatures,and
their factory-set default setting, are:
Feature #1: Current Sensing: Default ON.
Feature #2: 3.5 Minute or 3 Second Current Sensing Delay: Default 3.5 minutes.
Feature #3: Last Door Arming: Default OFF.
Feature #4: Doors Lock With Last Door Arming: Default OFF.
Feature #5: Automatic Rearming: Default OFF.
Feature #6: Doors Lock with Automatic Rearming: Default OFF.
Feature #7: Steady Siren or Pulsed Horn Output: Default Steady Siren.
Feature #8: Horn Confirmation Loud or Soft: Default Soft.
Feature #9: Doors Lock and Unlock With Ignition On and Off: Default ON.
Feature #10: Open Door Bypass For Previous Feature: Default ON.
Feature #11: 30 or 60 Second Activation Duration: Default 60 Seconds.
Feature #12: Double Unlock Pulse: Default OFF.
Feature #13: Open Door Arming Alert: Default OFF.
Feature #14: Remote Trunk Release Also Disarms Alarm: Default ON.
Feature #15: Transmitter Activated Anti-Carjacking: Default OFF.

To access Features Programming Mode and change any of the Programmable Features:
Step #1: Turn "off" the ignition.
Step #2: Within 7 seconds of turning "off" the ignition, press the Valet Switch 5 times.
Step #3: Youhave just entered intothe Feature Programming Mode.To confirm this, the
siren will respond with a siren burst. For the next 10 seconds the system is ready
for you to select what feature you wish to access and turn on or off. The Feature
Programming Mode will deactivate if a selection is not made within 10 seconds.
Step #4: Within 10 seconds of entering the Feature Programming Mode, press the Valet
Switchthenumber of times thatequalthe feature number youwishto access. After
pressing the Valet Switch multiple times the siren will chirp the same number of
times to confirm what feature number you are now accessed to for programming.
Example: Press the Valet Switch 5 times and the siren will chirp 5 times.
Step #5: Toturnonthefeaturepressthelargetransmitterbutton.Thesirenwillchirponce
to confirm that the feature is turned on. To turn off the feature, press the small
transmitter button. The siren will chirp twice to confirm the feature is turned off.
Remember, 10 seconds of no programming activity will result in the system
automatically exiting the Feature Programming Mode, which is indicated by two
siren bursts. Page - 19 Page - 20
The 16 Programmable Features explained:
1) Current Sensing: (Default ON) When this Feature is on, the system will activate
while armed if a current draw is detected in the vehicle's electrical system. As an example,
if a vehicle door is opened the system will detect the current draw made by the dome light
illuminating. When programming, at Step #5 in Features Programming Mode press the
transmitter'slargebuttontoturnthisFeatureonorpressthesmallbuttontoturnthis Feature
off.
2) 3.5 Minute/3 Second Current Sensing Delay: (Default 3.5 Minute) This Feature
setsoneoftwotimedelays beforetheCurrentSensingFeaturewilloperateafterarmingthe
securitysystem. Vehicles having delay dome lights or electric cooling fans may require the
longer setting. When programming, at Step #5 in Features Programming Mode press the
transmitter's large button to set this Feature for 3.5 minutes or press the small button to set
this Feature for 3 seconds.
3) Last Door Arming: (Default OFF) If this Feature is turned on, Last Door Arming
willoperate. LastDoorArmingstartsaftertheignitionswitch has been turned "off" and the
last open door is closed. The moment the last door closes the system will chirp the siren,
flashtheparkinglightsonce,andbeginacountdown(duringthiscountdowntheLEDStatus
Lightwillbeflashingfast). Thirtysecondsafterthelastdoorwasclosed,thesirenwillchirp
again, the parking lights flash once, and the LED will begin to flash slow, confirming that
the security system is fully armed. If a point of entry is reopened before the 30 seconds

expires, the countdown stops, and will reset to start again when the door is reclosed. When
programming,atStep#5inFeaturesProgrammingModepressthetransmitter'slargebutton
to turn this Feature on or press the small button to turn this Feature off.
4)DoorsLockWithLastDoorArming:(DefaultOFF)IfthisFeatureisturnedon, and
the previously explained Last Door Arming Feature is on, the doors will also lock when the

Feature on or press the small button to turn this Feature off.
5) Automatic Rearming: (Default OFF) On occasion, people have accidentally
disarmed their security system by unknowingly pressing the transmitter's button while it is
in a purse or pocket. This Feature prevents such accidental disarming. When this Feature
is on, upon disarming the system, a 90 second Automatic Rearming countdown will start.
During this countdown the Status LED will flash rapidly until any point of entry is opened;
for example, opening the trunk will temporarily suspend the Automatic Rearming process
(steady LED) until reclosed. However, if a door is opened or the ignition switch is turned
"on" the Automatic Rearming will be cancelled. At the end of the 90 second period the
system will automatically arm itself, at which time the system will chirp the siren and flash
the parking lights once. Three seconds later, the Status LED will flash slowly, indicating
a fully armed system. The locking of the doors upon rearming is programmed by the next
Feature. When programming, at Step #5 in Features Programming Mode press the
transmitter'slargebuttontoturnthisFeatureonorpressthesmallbuttontoturnthis Feature
off.
6) Doors Lock With Automatic Rearming: (Default OFF) If the previous Feature is
turnedon,thisFeaturedetermineswhetherthedoorswillalsolockwhenthesecuritysystem
becomes armed 90 seconds after disarming from Automatic Rearming. When program-
ming, at Step #5 in Features Programming Mode press the transmitter's large button to turn
this Feature on or press the small button to turn this Feature off.
7) Steady Siren Or Pulsed Horn Output: (Default Steady Siren) Instead of the
includedelectronicsiren,ifpreferredthevehicle'sexistinghornmaybeusedforthesecurity
system's audible responses. If the vehicle does not utilize an existing horn relay, one must
be added or this output's 1 Amp capacity may be exceeded, which will damage the system's
control module. When programming, at Step #5 in Features Programming Mode press the
transmitter's large button for the Pulsed Horn output or press the small button to set this
Feature for Steady Siren output.
8) HornConfirmationHonk Loud OrSoft: (DefaultSoft Confirmation Honk) Ifthe
previous Feature is utilized, due to the variety of vehicle horns, the arming and disarming
confirmation honks may adjusted with this Feature. When programming this Feature, at
Step#5pressthe large transmitter button toselecttheLoudConfirmationHornHonk.Press
the smaller transmitter button to select the Soft Confirmation Horn Honk.
9) Ignition On / Off To Lock / Unlock Doors: (Default ON) If this Feature is on, the
doors will automatically lock 2 seconds after the ignition switch is turned "on", and unlock
instantlywhentheignitionswitchisturned"off".Whenprogramming,atStep#5inFeatures

Programming Mode press the transmitter's large button to turn this Feature on or press the
small button to turn this Feature off.
10) Open Door Bypass For ThePrevious Feature: (Default ON) If this Feature is on,
the system will check the vehicle's door circuit. If it detects that any of the vehicle's doors
are open at the time of the ignition being turned "on" or "off", the doors will not
automatically lock when the ignition switch is turned "on", or automatically unlock when
theignitionswitchisturned"off".Whenprogramming,atStep#5inFeaturesProgramming
Mode press the transmitter's large button to turn this Feature on or press the small button to
turn this Feature off.
11) 30 or 60 Second Activation Duration: (Default 60 Seconds) This Feature selects
thelengthoftimethatthesirensoundsand the parking lights flash when the security system
is activated. This Feature is useful where laws or noise ordinances requires shorter siren
timesfornoiserestrictions. Whenprogramming,atStep#5inFeaturesProgrammingMode
press the small transmitter button to select the 30 second duration time or press the
transmitter's large button to select the 60 second duration time.
12) Double Unlock Pulse: (Default OFF) This Feature allows the security system to
unlock the doors in certain vehicles with some of the newer doorlocking systems. This
Feature is included for the benefit of the installer, who can determine if it is necessary for
the Double Unlock Pulse Feature to be activated.

13) Open Door Arming Alert: (Default OFF) If this Feature is utilized, if one of the
vehicle's doors is open when the security system is armed via the transmitter, the siren will
chirp 3 times and instead of once and the parking lights will flash 3 times instead of once
upon arming the system. When programming, at Step #5 in Features Programming Mode
press the transmitter's large button to turn this Feature on or press the small button to turn
this Feature off.
14) Disarm System Upon Trunk Release: (Default ON) This Feature adds the con-
venience of automatically disarming the security system when the small button is pressed
and held to operate remote trunk release. If this Feature is turned off, the trunk release will
still operate, but the system will not disarm. When programming, at Step #5 in Features
Programming Mode press the transmitter's large button to turn this Feature on or press the
small button to turn this Feature off.
15) TransmitterActivatedAnti-Carjacking:(DefaultOFF)ThisFeatureaddsAnti-
Carjackingprotection, which canbe activated from the transmitterat any whilethe ignition
is "on". To activate this Feature, press and hold both transmitter buttons for 3 seconds. The
siren will start chirping 53 seconds later, and for the next seven seconds the Valet Switch
must be pressed once to cancel the Anti-Carjacking Feature. At 60 seconds the siren will
fully sound, and the parking lights will also flash. At 90 seconds the starter interrupt output
will activate. Once the siren sounds and parking lights flash, Anti-Carjacking cannot be
canceled unless the ignition is turned "off", then back "on"; then the Valet Switch must be
pressed once within 10 seconds of turning the ignition back "on". This is the only way to

cancel or turn off the Anti-Carjacking Feature - once activated, the transmitter cannot be
used to cancel or turn off the Feature. When programming, at Step #5 in Features
Programming Mode press the transmitter's large button to turn this Feature on or press the
small button to turn this Feature off.
16) Door-Activated Anti-Carjack Protection: (Default OFF) This feature causes the
Anti-CarjackingFeature described previouslyto be activated by the opening andclosing of
the vehicle's door at any time while the ignition switch is "on". This Feature may be used
alone, or in conjunction with the previous Transmitter Activated Anti-Carjacking Feature.
Ifadoorisopenedandclosedwhiletheignitionswitchis"on",theAnti-CarjackingFeature
will engage 53 seconds after the door is closed. The Valet Switch must be pressed within
60 seconds after the door is shut to cancel the Anti-Carjacking Protection Feature. When
programming,atStep#5inFeaturesProgrammingModepressthetransmitter'slargebutton
to turn this Feature on or press the small button to turn this Feature off.
Total System Reset: This procedure resets all 16 Programmable Features to factory-
set default positions. The security system's control module must be accessed to perform a
Total System Reset. Once accessed, follow these steps:
1) Locate the small round hole in the lower control module case. Two solder dots will
be visible beneath this opening.Page - 25 Page - 26
2) Short the two solder dots together. A slotted jeweler's screwdriver works well.
3) Momentarilyshorting the solder dotstogetherfor about 5 secondswillresult in two
siren bursts indicating all 16 Programmable Features are at the factory-set default.
Encoding Transmitters
Up to 4 different transmitters may be programmed into the security system's memory.
When a new transmitter is encoded into the system, all previous transmitter codes will be
deleted.Ifa thirdorfourthtransmitterisdesired,allofthe transmittersmustbeencodedinto
system's memory. To program transmitters to operate your system, follow this procedure:
1) Turn "on" the ignition switch.
2) Within 5 seconds of turning "on" the ignition switch, press the Valet Switch 5 times.
Note:Thesystemwillrespondwithalongsiren chirp and the Status LED will illuminate
steady, confirming that the system is ready to learn a transmitter code. Turning "off" the
ignition automatically terminates the Transmitter Learning Mode, which will be indicated
by two siren bursts. When the first transmitter code is learned, any and all existing prior
transmitter codes will be erased.

3) To learn the first transmitter code, press the large transmitter button, (which will arm/
disarm/panic the system), until you hear one siren burst and one short siren chirp to
confirmthat the codewas learned. TheStatus LED willalso start flashingonce between
pauses. The other transmitter button functions are automatically learned at this time.
4) To program the second, third or fourth transmitter codes, repeat step 3. As each
transmitter is learned, the long confirmation chirp will be followed by two short chirps
for transmitter number two, three short chirps for transmitter number three, and four
short chirps for transmitter number four. An attempt to add any further transmitter
codes will be ignored. The Status LED will increase the number of flashes between
pauses as each transmitter is learned.
5) Turning off the ignition switch will automatically removethesystemfromTransmitter
Learning Mode, which is confirmed by two siren bursts.
Second Vehicle Operation: The security system can be armed and disarmed from the
combination of pressing both transmitter buttons at the same time. For two vehicle
operation,encode thefirstvehicletoarm anddisarmfromthetransmitter's largebutton;this
system will have normal operation. Encode the same transmitters to arm and disarm the
second vehicle from pressing both transmitter buttons. The second vehicle's system will
operate from both buttons and trunk release will operate from the small transmitter button.
Please note that the second vehicle's system will not have the 3rd Channel output function.
