Before Putting IntoUse
•Before connecting theappliance to thepowersupply,let it standfor about 2
hours,whichwillreduceapossibilityof malfunctionsin the coolingsystemdue
totransporthandling.
• Clean theappliance, and be thorough, especiallyinthe interior (SeeCleaning
andMaintenance).

andits correct andsafeuse.
Important
•Danger or Warning:Risk of child entrapment.
• Child entrapment and suffocation arenot problems of the past. Junked or
abandoned appliances are still dangerous...even if they will “just sit inthe
garage a few days.”

Before you throw away your old refrigerator or freezer:
Take off the doors.
Leave the shelves in place so that children may noteasily climb inside.
•
If you have bought this appliance to replace an old one equipped with alock that
cannotbeopened from inside (lock, bolt),make sure thatthe lock is broken.
Thiswillmakeitimpossible for children to lock themselvesinsidethe appliance
andsuffocate.
•Theappliance mustbecorrectlyconnectedtothepowersupply.(See:Howto
install)
•Donottouchthe cooledsurfaceswhile the applianceoperates, especially not
with wet hands,becausetheskin maysticktothecold surfaces.
•Donot freeze bottlescontainingliquid, suchas mineralwater,sparklingwine,
beer, colaetc., becauseliquid expands duringfreezing and theglassbottle is
verylikely to explode.
•Ifthe foodhas strangesmellorcolor, throw it away, becauseitisvery likely
thatitisspoiledandtherefore dangerousto eat.
•Disconnect the appliancefromthepowersupply beforerepairingit(onlya
qualifiedtechnician shouldrepairit).
•Donot defrosttheappliance withotherelectric devices(hair dryeretc.)and
never scrapethe ice or frost layerwith sharptools.
• Therating plateisinside theappliance or outside onthe rear wall.
Tips for Energy Savings
•Trynot to open thedoortoo often,especially when theweatheriswet andhot.
Once you open thedoor,mindtoclose itassoonaspossible.
•Everynowandthencheckiftheapplianceissufficiently ventilated(adequate
air circulation behindthe appliance).
• Set thermostat from higher to lower settings as soonaspossible (depends on
how loaded the applianceis).
•Before loadingthe appliancewithpackagesoffreshfoods,makesurethey are
cooled toambienttemperature.
•Iceandfrostlayer increaseenergyconsumption,sodoclean theapplianceas
soon as the layer is 1/8”thick.

HOW TO OPERATE
Starting your new Refrigerator
1.Clean the refrigerator thoroughly. Wipe the outside with asoft dry cloth, the
interior with a damp cloth.
2.Insert the power supply cord into the socket.
3.Turn the thermostat dial to “7”. Close the door and let the refrigerator
operate for 15-20 minutes.
Temperature control
To control the internal temperature, adjust
the thermostat dial. The dial is numbered
from 1-7.
Number 1 is the warmest setting,number 7
the coldest.
The dial may be set anyplace on the scale.
It does not have to be set exactly on a
number. To make ice cubes in the freezer
compartment, adjust the thermostatto the
coldest setting.
How to defrost
Defrosttherefrigeratorwhenthefrost accumulatedontheevaporatorisabout
5mm(1/5inch) thick.
Setthethermostatdial to“OFF”.Removefrozenorperishablefoods. Insert drip
tray belowthe freezer compartmentonlyfor defrosting (as shownbelow).
Defrostingusuallytakesa fewhours. Todefrostquicklyremove all foodsfrom
therefrigeratorand leave the door open.
Never use a knife or other metal instrument
to scrape ice/frost from the evaporator.After
defrosting, empty water fromdriptrayandreturn
the themostatdialtothedesired position.
NOTE: Wait 3-5 minutes before restarting if you unplug the refrigerator.
The unit may fail to operateproperly if restarted too quickly.

HOW TO OPERATE
Cleaners: Never use harsh, abrasive cleaners, heavy-duty cleaners, or solvents
onanysurface.
Exterior: Wipe with damp, sudsy cloth, rinse and dry. For stubborn stains and
forperiodic waxing,use silicon wax.
Freezer: When refrigerator needs defrosting turn thermostat dial to “OFF”. Do
not use sharp instruments toscrapeoff ice/frost.
Refrigeration Section: Washshelves andotherremovablepartsinwarmsudsy
water, rinse and dry. Wash interior with baking soda solution (3 Tablespoons to 1
Liter ofwater)orwarmsudsywater,rinseanddry.
Magnetic Door Seals: Wash with warmsudsywater.
The Finishing Touch: Replace all parts and return thermostat dial to desired
setting.
HOW TO INSTALL
Install refrigeratorin a convenient location away from extreme heat and cold.
Allow sufficient clearance between therefrigerator and side wall so the door
will open without obstruction. Refrigerator is not designed for recessed
installation.
Selecta spacewithstrong levelfloor.
Allow 5 inches of space between the
refrigerator’sside and the wall.
POWER CORD REPLACEMENT
Ifthe refrigerator’s power cord isdamaged, have it replacedby a qualified
repair agent.
CHANGING THE REVERSIBLE DOOR
This refrigeratorhas been built with the door hinges on the right.
If you wish tochange the opening direction, follow the instruction below:
• Unplug the refrigeratorfrom its electrical outlet.
• Empty everything in the refrigerator, including shelves, food, etc.
1.Removethehingecover ontherighttop
ofthe cabinet.
2.Removethe two screws (using aratchet
toolwitha8MMsocket) thathold thetop
hingetothecabinet. Keepthese screws
forlater use.
3.Lift thetophingestraightup tofreethepin
from thesocketon the topof the door.
4.Lift thedoorandplaceitonapadded
surfaceto prevent scratching it.
5.Remove theplug buttons from the upper
left holes asillustrated and transfer them
to theuncovered holes attheright side.
Besure to press the plug buttons firmly
intothe holes.
6.Laythecabineton its sidedown onthe
floor.Remove thetwoscrewsthat hold
thebottom hingetothecabinet usinga
10MM socket.Keepthese screwsand
washers for lateruse.

WHAT TO DO...
When the fridge is not in use for a prolonged period:
• Remove thepowerplug from the power point.
• Remove all contents from the fridge.
• Drythe interior and leave thedoor open for a few days.
When you wish to move the fridge:
• Secure all movable parts and contents.
(Package them separately if necessary.)
• Transport the fridge only in an upright position. In any other position you
may damage the compressor.
Beforecalling service,pleasefollowthe checklist below.
This may save you an expensive service call.
WARNING-Improperuseofthegroundingplugcanresultina riskofelectric
shock. Ifitisnecessarytouse anextensioncord, use onlya3-wire extension
cordthat hasa3-bladegroundingplug anda3-slotreceptaclethat will
acceptthe plugonthe appliance. The markedrating of the extension cord
shouldbeAC115-120V,10A,ormore.Ifa groundingadapter isused,make
surethe receptacle box isfully grounded.
If the refrigeratorseemstoo warm inside:
• Check that the door has not been opened too frequently or fortoo long.
• Check that the interior circulation isnot obstructed by having too many
goodsstored. (The fridge is overloaded)
• Did you store anything hot.without firstcooling it to room temperature?
• Is there sufficient clearance around all sidesand above the fridge?
If the fridge starts making any unusual noises:
• Is it wobbling? Re-level itand check if it now operates normally.
•Have any objects fallen behind the fridge? If so,remove them and check if
operation is nownormal.
• Are any containers inside the fridge vibrating or resonating? If so, rearrange
them then check to see if operation has returned to normal.
7. Insert thebottom hinge atthe left side
usingthe twoscrewspreviously removed
in step6.
NOTE: Do not tighten screws.
8.Standthe cabinet.
9.Replacethe doormakingsurethebottom
socketentersthe bottom hinge pin.
Be surewashers areinplace.
10.Whileholding thedoorintheclosed
position,securethetop hinge attheleft
side using thetwo screwspreviously
removedatthe beginninginstep2.
Donottightenthescrewsuntilthetopof
thedoorisleveledwith thetopcabinet.
11.Replace thehingecover.
12. Tools required:
-8MM& 10MMsocket-ratchet.
-Putty knife or thin-bladescrewdriver.
