A qualified electrician must install this product. It is recommended that this unit be checked
every 6 months
All units must be supplied with a 3-wire service.
The means of disconnection must be in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules
Note: As this hand dryer relies on ‘reflection’ there must be a minimum gap of 900mm between
the underside of the dryer and any surface.
Recommended mounting height from underside of unit to FFL 1220mm (Male toilet)
Remove the front cover by unscrewing the two fixing screws on the underside using the Allen key

Allow the dryer front to slide down approx 10mm and remove
Position the chassis on the wall and mark through the four fixing points
Drill wall to suit No.8 wall plugs (Please check the screws supplied are suitable for the installation)
If the supply is to be concealed, drill a hole through the wall in line with the 20mm hole in back plate
Wire unit as follows;
WARNING: This appliance must be earthed
The 220/240 volt 50Hz supply must be connected to the hand dryer via a double pole fused isolator using
a mains lead with a cross sectional area no less than 1.25mm. Bring the mains cable through the grommet
to the terminal block.
The red or brown lead to the terminal marked L
The black or blue lead to the terminal marked N
The green or green and yellow lead to the terminal marked E
Ensure the mains cable cannot get into the fan inlet. A qualified electrician must carry out the electrical

Care and Maintenance
Clean with soap and warm water, dry with a clean soft cloth.
To maintain finish use any industrial steel cleaner, polishing along the material grain with a clean soft
cloth.
FC Frost Ltd recommends “Steel Clean” cleaning agent, obtainable from: Vitopan (Tel: 01204 863000)
Abrasive cleaners, chloride cleaning agents and carbon steel brushes/steel wool will scratch the
stainless steel and should not be used.
Troubleshooting Chart: Any electrical maintenance must be done by a qualified electrician
Symptom
Corrective Action
Unit is not working
Assuming that there is power to the fuse isolator,
check there is a 13A fuse fitted. If there is a fuse
present, replace it with a new one.
Check that the clear lens on the underside of the unit
(in front of the air outlet) has not been obstructed with
tape, chewing gum etc.
Check for any signs of vandalism
If the motor can be heard working but the air is
blowing cold, the fault is with the Heater Element and
can be replaced.
Remove the front cover by undoing the screws as
previously detailed.
Check that the inside of the lens is clear.
Check the mains power is getting to the dryer.
Remove and replace all the wires in the terminal block
and ensure the screws are not tightening up on the
wire insulation.
Heater element glows, but motor doesn’t
run
Remove the front cover by undoing the screws as
previously detailed.
If the heater element glows but then cuts outs out, but
the motor doesn’t operate, the most probable cause is
a fault with the PCB. Replace the PCB.
Sensor range is too short or too far
Remove the front cover by undoing the screws as
previously detailed. Turn potentiometer (located on
left side of PCB) Clockwise to increase, Anti-
clockwise to reduce. Coarse adjustment can be made
by loosening the crosshead screw on top of the plastic
sensor shroud and sliding the screw to alter the beam
area of the sensor.
