How to Assemble
Set up time about 2-4 minutes

1. Remove from Carry Bag: Frame - Top Bar - Net.
2. Unfold the Frame tubes from the Foam Holder.
3. Plug tubes together, they are connected with bungee ropes which make it really simple.
4. Place the Net between the Frame like this, ensuring the word “Jazzminton” matches image.
5. Slide the Net over the two tubes.

6. Remove one 2Way-Connector from the Top Bar.
7. Slide the Top Bar through the top sleeve of the Net.
8. Place the 2Way-Connector back onto the Top Bar.
9. Connect the 2Way-Connector to the Frame.
10.Attach the two bungee cords to the eyelets at the bottom of the Net. This is to stretch out the Net.

Set Up
Minimum space needed 8 x 18 feet - (2.40 x 5.50m) (better is 8 x 23 feet - (2.40 x 7.00m))
Standard Setup (indoors and outdoors without wind)
Sport Birdie & Net
Jazzminton Sport is best played using the Sport Birdie. The reason for this is because every hit, no
matter how hard, CAN be returned. The Sport Birdie is designed to slow down as it ies, allowing you
time to react in order to return it. Since this is the case, there are no boundary lines needed, making
for awesome rallies.
However, if it becomes windy outdoors, we have also provided Sport Wind Birdies and Yellow Balls to
play with. In this scenario, we suggest you set up the boundary line, because hitting the Sport Wind
Birdie or Yellow Balls as hard as you can, is di󰀩cult to return. These boundaries limit the distance of
your shot, so you don’t just blast it away, making for great rallies.
Alternative Setup (for windy conditions or with ball)
Use the Anchor Rope and the Anchor Hooks to secure down.
Set up boundaries so each player has a court size of 16’ x 16’ (4.8m x 4.8m).

Learn and Practice Jazzminton
Jazzminton is easy to learn. Below are two steps to help you in your Jazzminton Sport adventure.
FIRST STEP:
Pass the Sport Birdie back and forth without the Net until you can rally it for some time. Do
this step until you feel comfortable and then move to the second step.
SECOND STEP:
Pass the Sport Birdie back and forth through the Window until you can rally it for
some time.
Once you are comfortable with this step, you can graduate to competitive games with score keeping.

Rules
Objective: To win points by hitting a Birdie/Ball through the Jazzminton Window until
opponent cannot return it.
Determine Who Starts
Players rally, hitting the Birdie/Ball through the Jazzminton Window, the winner of the
rally gets the rst serve.
Serving
Serving player is a minimum of 6 feet from the Jazzminton Net and
must underhand serve the Birdie/Ball. When serving, if the Birdie/Ball
touches the net and goes through the Window, it does not count and
you must redo the serve.
Receiving player may stand at any desired distance.
Serve Alternating
If the game is to 11, each player alternates 2 serves at a time.
If the game is to 21, each player alternates 5 serves at a time.
If the score is 10-10 (played to 11 points) or 20-20 (played to 21 points), both players
alternate one serve each until the game is won.
During Play
Using only your paddle you get one hit to return the Birdie/Ball through the window.
To equalize sun and wind e󰀨ects, switch sides every 5 points, if desired.
Scoring
Jazzminton is played using rally scoring. Points can be won when serving or receiving.
The rally ends and a point is awarded when the opponent cannot return the Birdie/Ball
through the Jazzminton Window.
Games are typically played to 11 or 21.
Games must be won by two points.
