SMARTSCORE requires SMARTSPEED, SMARTSPEED LITE or SMARTJUMP PDA software
version 2.96 or greater. Please check our software version, and download any required upgrades free
from the Fusion Sport website.

PREPARINGYOURSYSTEMFORUSEWITHSMARTSCORE
LikeyourSMARTSPEEDorSMARTSPEEDLiteunits,SMARTSCOREunitsarewirelessandcomepre‐
programmedwiththeirownuniqueunitID.TheIDsusedforSMARTSCOREunitsarehigherthanfor
othergates(usuallygreaterthan10),andyouneedtoensurethatyoursystemsettingspermitunits
ofthishighID.
Inordertoensurethatyousystemisready,pleasefollowthesesimplesteps–
StartSMARTSPEEDsoftwareonPDAGotoOptions‐GeneralSetthe“MaxID”toincludeyour
SMARTSCOREunitID(16isusuallysufficient).Press“Apply”andreturntothemainscreen.


YourSMARTSCOREunitisnowreadytouse.Pleaseensuretheunitischargedpriortouse.

QUICKSTARTGUIDE

1. TurnonyourSMARTSCOREunitbyflickingtheswitchlocatedonthe
bottomoftheunit.Onceturnedon,thewords“FusionSport”willscroll
acrossthescreen.

2. Turnonthegatesandotherdevicesthatyouwilluseforthesession
3. StartyourSMARTSPEEDsoftwarewithGrabbaSleeveconnected(asfor
anormalsession)andPress“StartNewSession”
4. PressScan
5. YourSMARTSCOREunitswillappearinthescanlist.Iftheunitsdonot
appear,pleaserefertothetroubleshootingsectionbelow.


6. Followthesoftwareasyouwouldforanormalsession,selectingyour
drillandperformingthe“testtrack”procedure.Afterselectingyour
teamlistforthesession,youwillbepresentedwiththeSMARTSCORE
configurationscreen.ConfigureyouSMARTSCOREdisplay(s)asperthe
instructionsinthefollowingsection.

7. PressOKandthenproceedtorunyoursessionasusual.
8. Whenyoursessionisfinishedturntheunitoffandrechargepriorto
nextsession.

SMARTSCORECONFIGURATIONSCREEN
AfterselectingyourteamtheSMARTSCOREconfigurationboxwillbedisplayed.
WhenonlyoneSMARTSCOREunitisbeingusedinthesession,(picturedleftbelow),simplychoosetheresult
youwouldliketheSMARTSCOREtodisplayduringthesession,andpressOK.
IfmultipleSMARTSCOREunitsarebeingused,andyouareusingmultipletracks,youneedtoconfigurewhich
displayisinwhichtrack.
1. Pressthe“ShowID”button
2. TheSMARTSCOREunitswillnowdisplaytheirunitIDontheirscreens
3. ChoosewhichtrackyouwouldlikeeachunitIDtoworkwithbyadjustingthe“track”value.Ifyouare
usingmultipleSMARTSCOREunitsinonlyonetrack,youdonotneedtoadjustthetrackvalue.
4. Choosewhichresultyouwouldlikeeachunittodisplay
5. PressOKandproceedwiththesession




CHARGING&MAINTENANCE
SMARTSCOREshouldbeexpectedtooperateforupto15hoursperchargeundernormaluse.Itishowever
recommendedthatitbechargedpriortoeachuse,andthiswillnotdevelopanykindofbatterymemory.
Whenconnectedtothesupplied12Vcharger,aREDlightonthebottomoftheunitwillindicatethatitis
charging.Whenfullycharged,thislightwillturngreen.

IMPORTANTNOTE–USINGSMARTSCOREINWINDYCONDITIONS
TheSMARTSCOREissusceptibletowindandcaremustbetakenwhenusingtheunitsinevenmoderately
windyconditions.PleasenotethatdamagetotheunitasaresultoffallingoverisNOTcoveredbytheincluded
warranty.
IfyouareusingSMARTSCOREoutdoorsandwindisapossibility,werecommendsecuringtheunitusingoneof
thefollowingtechniques–
1. Setthetripodtoonlyoneheightextension,andanglethedisplayuptowardstheathlete(picture
below);
2. Ifongrass,useatentpegtosecurethetripodtothegroundthroughtheholelocatedonthetripod
leg;or
3. Usesandbagsorotherweightstoanchorthetripodtopreventitfromtipping.



