Dear Customer,
With the Lomat you have purchased a highly modern system which is suitable
for many applications. The unit is designed for brazing, soft-soldering, shrinking,
heating and burning-o in conjunction with the appropriate burners. Please take
note of the operating instructions for safe and economic operation of your Lomat
burner.

1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. BURNER
The Lomat is designed to prevent the occurrence of any risks to the user when
used properly. LORCH soldering burners are precision equipment and have to
be handled with care. It is not permitted to put them down on gas bottles or
containers. In the case of lengthy interrupt ions in work the unit should be stored
protected from dust and moisture. It is essential to select the right burner to
ensure economical and safe operation.
1.2. GAS HOSES
Gas hoses are subject to particularly high levels of stress. Hose should be pro-
tected from damage such as kinking, burning and soiling. Porous or defective
hoses should be replaced immediately. Do not run hoses between your legs or
over your head.
1.3. GAS BOTTLES
Gas bottles are governed by the provisions of the Pressure Vessel Regulations
and the associated rules; these should be observed.
1.4. BODY AND EYE PROTECTION
You should use suitable items to protect your body, hands and eyes (goggles,
gloves etc..).
1.5. VENTILATION
Only work in well-ventilated rooms or outside. Any gases or vapours produced
should be extracted at the location where they occur.
1.6. FIRE PROTECTION
Before starting soldering it should be ensured that comustible and explosive
materials are removed from the vicinity of the workplace. Never point the mount-
hpiece of the burner at yourself or others. Do not set up or operate the burner
near sources of heat. The national provisions and accident prevention regulati-
ons must be observed when using liquid gas.
2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
2.1. CONNECTING LOMAT
Connect the pressure reducer and hose rupture protection to the propane bottle
(propane in accordance with DIN 51622) so the connection is gastight.
Connect the high-pressure hose to the Lomat hose connection (1).
Connecting threads for combustible gases have a lefthand thread G 3/8.
2.2. BURNER
Select the burner depending on the type of work to be performed. Slide the
burner (9) into the burner mount bore (4) and press to snap into place.
Units whose own weight lets them turn in the burner can be inserted in 60° catch
points in the burner handle. All other units can be rotated through 360° in the
burner handle.

2.3. FUEL GAS SETTING
Slowly open the gas bottle valve. Adjust the working pressure at the propane
controller (marked on the burner). Move the main shuto and regulating valve (2)
on the Lomat to “open” to release the gas supply.
Ignition of Lomat/Lomat Piezo
The Lomat/Lomat-Piezo can only be ignited when:
• the burner is locked in the handle (Fig. 2)
• the regulating valve is open (2, Fig. 3)
• the working pressure is properly adjusted
With shrinking burner:
• Open tha air slide on the shrinkage burner (Fig. 4)
2.4. MANUAL IGNITION WITHOUT IGNITION LEVER
Open the main shuto and regulating valve. Ignite using the gas igniter at the
burner head.
2.5. MANUAL IGNITION WITH IGNITION LEVER
Open the main shuto and regulating valve (2). Release the gas by pressing the
ignition lever (3). Ignite using the gas igniter at the burner head.
2.6. AUTOMATIC IGNITION
Release the gas supply by pressing the ignition lever (3), and the burner is simul-
taneously ignited by the piezo ignition spark.
2.7. ADJUSTING WORK FLAME
The amount of gas is increased (towards “open”) or reduced (towards “shut”)
using the regulation system (2) (Fig. 3).
Continuous operation
2.8. CONTINUOUS OPERATIONWITHOUT LOCKING BUTTON
Hold down the ignition lever (3).
2.9. CONTINUOUS OPERATIONWITH LOCKING BUTTON
The unit is set to continuous operation by pressing the locking button (5).
To release the locking device activate the ignition lever (3). Burners with a flame
length > 150 mm should not be set down when set to continuous operation.
2.10. HEATING TORCH  RETENTION FLAME SETTING
(Torch without piezo ignition) When the heating torch is set down, the flame
should be automatically reset to “retention flame”. The flame is adjusted using
the retention flame adjusting screw (6). The flame is shut o using the main
shuto and regulating valve (2).
2.11. USING SOLDERING AND SHRINKING BURNERS
Air slide closed - shrinking flame open - soldering flame (see Fig. 4).
2.12. CHANGING BURNERS
The burner is released by pressing the unlocking button (7), and the gas supply
is shut o sumultaneuously.
2.13. INTERRUPTING WORK
- Close the regulation valve (2) by moving towards “shut” (Fig. 3). Ignition lever in
“o” position. The burner can be set down on its fold-out stand (8).

3. POSSIBLE MALFUNCTIONS
With malfunctions cut o the gas supply. Gas available. Controller open.
Hose rupture protection activated. Burner properly snapped into place.
Burner screen or burner nozzle blocked by soiling.
4. REPAIRS
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorised repair
workshop using original spare parts. By carrying out repairs yourself, you are not
only putting yourself at risk but also invalidating your warranty claim.
5. WASTE MANAGEMENT
Maximum life time of the product is 5 years.
At the end of the product’s life time, the product must be withdrawn from service.
The owner of the device shall prevent the reuse of the product and handle
the product in compliance with “Directive of European Parliament and Council
2008/98/EC on waste“.
In accordance to Article 33 of REACH GCE, s.r.o. as responsible manufacturer
shall inform all customers if materials containing 0.1% or more of substances
included in the list of Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC). The most com-
monly used brass alloys used for bodies and other brass components contain
2-3% of lead (Pb), EC no. 231-468-6, CAS no. 7439-92-1. The lead will not be
released to the gas or surrounding environment during normal use. After end
of life the product shall be scrapped by an authorized metal recycler to ensure
ecient material handling with minimal impact to environment and health. To
date we have no information that indicates that other materials containing SVHC
of concentrations exceeding 0.1% are included in any GCE product.
6. WARRANTY
The Standard Warranty period is two years from date of receipt by the GCE
Customer (or if this is not known 2 years from time of the product manufacture
shown on the product).
The standard warranty is only valid for products handled according to Instruction
for use (IFU) and general industry good practice and standards.

mit dem Lomat haben Sie ein hochmodernes und für viele Einsatzfälle anwend-
bares System erworben. Das Gerät ist in Verbindung mit den entsprechenden
Einsätzen zum Hart-, Weichlöten, Schrumpfen,Anwärmen, und Abflammen ge-
eignet. Bitte beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung zur wirtschaftlichen und
sicheren Handhabung Ihres Lomat Brenners.

1. SICHERHEITSTECHNISCHE HINWEISE
1.1. BRENNER
Der Lomat ist so konstruiert, daß bei bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch keine
Gefahren für den Benutzer auftreten. LORCH-Lötbrenner sind Präzisionsgerä-
te und müssen pfleglich behandelt werden. Das Ablegen auf Gasflaschen und
Hohlgefäßen ist verboten. Bei längeren Arbeitsunterbrechungen ist das Gerät
staub- und feuchtigkeitsgeschützt aufzubewahren. Um wirtschaftlich und sicher
zu arbeiten, ist die richtige Wahl der Brennereinsätze Voraussetzung.
1.2. GASSCHLÄUCHE
Gasschläuche werden besonders stark beansprucht. Die Schläuche sind gegen
Beschädigungen wie Knicken, Abbrennen und Verunreinigungen zu schützen.
Poröse oder schadhafte Schläuche sofort auszuwechseln.
Schläuche nicht zwischen den Beinen oder über den Kopf führen.
1.3. GASFLASCHEN
Gasflaschen unterliegen den Bestimmungen der Druckbehälterverordnung und
den zugehörigen Regeln, diese sind zu beachten.
1.4. KÖRPER UND AUGENSCHUTZ
Körper, Hände und Augen sind durch geeignete Schutzmittel zu schützen (Brille,
Handschuhe usw.).
1.5. LÜFTUNG
Nur in gut gelüfteten Räumen oder im Freien arbeiten. Entstehende Gase und
Dämpfe an der Enstehungsstelle absaugen.
1.6. BRANDSCHUTZ
Vor Beginn der Lötarbeiten ist sicherzustellen, daß brennbare und explosive Ma-
terialien aus der Umgebung der Arbeitsstelle entfernt werden.
Brennermundstück nie auf sich selbst oder andere richten. Den Brenner nicht in
der Nähe von Wärmequellen aufstellen und betreiben. Die nationalen Bestim-
mungen und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften bei Verwendung mit Flüssiggas sind
zu beachten.
2. BEDIENUNGSHINWEISE
2.1. ANSCHLUSS LOMAT
Druckminderer und Schlauchbruchsicherung an Propanflasche (Propan nach
DIN 51622) gasdicht anschließen. Hochdruchschlauch mit Schlauchanschluß
Lomat (1) verbinden. Anschlußgewinde für brennbare Gase haben Linksgewinde
G 3/8.
2.2. BRENNEREINSATZ
Je nach Art der durchzuführenden Arbeiten Brennereinsatz wählen.
Brennereinsatz (9) in die Brenner-Aufnahmebohrung (4) einführen, durch ihr Ei-
gengewicht selbst im Brenner drehen können sind in 60° Rastpunkten im Bren-
nergri einsetzbar. Ale weiteren Geräte sind um 360° im Brennergri drehbar.

2.3. BRENNGASEINSTELLUNG
Gasflaschenventil langsam önen. Am Propanregler den Arbeitsdruck (am Bren-
ner angegeben) einstellen. Absperr- und Regulierventil (2) am Lomat in Richtung
auf bewegen, dadurch wird die Gaszuführung freigegeben. (Abb. 3).
Zündung des Lomat/Lomat Piezo
Eine Zündung des Lomat/Lomat-Piezo kann nur erfolgen wenn:
• Brennereinsatz im Gri arretiert (Abb. 2)
• Regulierventil geöfnet (2, Abb. 3)
• Arbeitsdruck richtig eingestellt
Bei Schrumprenner:
• Luftschieber am Schrumprennereinsatz oen (Abb. 4)
2.4. ZÜNDVORGANG MANUELL OHNE MOMENTHEBEL
Absperr- u. Regulierventil önen. Mit Gasanzünder am Brennerkopf zünden.
2.5. ZÜNDVORGANG MANUELL MIT MOMENTHEBEL
Absperr- u. Regulierventil (2) önen. Gas durch Druck auf Momenthebel (3) frei-
geben. Mit Gasanzünder am Brennerkopf zünden.
2.6. ZÜNDVORGANG AUTOMATISCH
Gas durch Druck auf Momenthebel (3) freigeben, gleichzeitig wird der Brenner
durch Peizo-Zündfunke gezündet.
2.7. ANPASSEN DER ARBEITSFLAMME
durch Drehen der Regulierung (2) wird die Gasmenge erhöht (in Richtung auf)
oder verringert (in Richtung zu) (Abb. 3).
Dauerbetrieb
2.8. DAUERBETRIEB OHNE ARRETIERKNOPF
Momenthebel (3) gedrück halten.
2.9. DAUERBETRIEB MIT ARRETIERKNOPF
Durch Druck auf den Arretierknopf (5) ist das Gerät auf Dauerbetrieb gestellt.
Lösen der Arretierung durch Betätigen des Momenthebels (3). Bei Brennern mit
einer Flammenlänge > 150 mm darf der Brenner in Dauerbetriebsstellung nicht
abgelegt werden.
2.10. ANWÄRMBRENNER SPARFLAMMENEINSTELLUNG
(Brenner ohne Piezo Zündung) Beim Ablegen des Anwärmbrenners muß sich
die Flamme selbständig auf “Sparflamme” zurücksetzen. Die Einstellung der
Flamme erfolgt über die Sparflammeneinstellschraube (6). Das Absperren der
Flamme erfolgt über das Absperr- und Regulierventil (2).
2.11. ARBEITEN MIT LÖT UND SCHRUMPFBRENNERN
Luftschieber geschlossen - Schrumpamme
oen - Lötflamme (siehe Abb 4).

2.12. WECHSEL DER BRENNEREINSÄTZE
Durch Druck auf den Druckknopf (7) wird der Brennereinsatz gelöst, gleichzeitig
ist die Gaszufuhr gesperrt.
2.13. ARBEITSUNTERBRECHUNGEN
Regulierventil schließen in Richtung “zu” (Abb. 3). Momenthebel (3) in nicht
gedrückter Stellung. Der Brenner kann auf Abstellfuß (8) abgestellt werden.
2.14. ARBEITSENDE
• Flaschenventil schließen
• Flamme ausbrennen lassen
• Regulierventil in Stellung (2) “zu” (Abb. 3)
• Momenthebel (3) in nicht gedrückter Stellung
3. MÖGLICHE STÖRUNGEN
Bei Störungen Gaszufuhr absperren. Gas vorhanden? Regler oen?
Schlauchbruchsicherung betätigt? Einsatz richtig verrastet? Brennersieb
oder Brenndüse durch Verschmutzung verstopft?
4. REPARATUREN
Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Hersteller oder authorisierten Reparaturwerkstät-
ten unter Verwendung von Original-Ersatzteilen durchgeführt werden.
Mit eigenmächtigen Reparaturen gefährden Sie Ihre Sicherheit, zudem erlischt
der Garantieanspruch.
5. ABFALLMANAGEMENT
Die maximale Lebensdauer des Produkts beträgt 5 Jahre.
Nach dem Ablauf der Lebensdauer darf das Produkt nicht mehr verwendet wer-
den. Der Eigentümer des Geräts muss sicherstellen, dass das Produkt nicht wie-
derverwendet wird. Hierbei sind die Anforderungen der „Richtlinie 2008/98/EG
des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates über Abfälle“ einzuhalten.
Gemäß dem Artikel 33 der REACH-Verordnung verpfl ichtet sich die Gesellschaft
GCE, s.r.o. als verantwortungsbewusster Hersteller, alle Kunden darüber zu in-
formieren, wenn die Materialien 0,1% oder mehr der auf der Liste aufgeführten
besonders besorgniserregenden Sto e (SVHC) enthalten.
Die am häufi gsten für Körper und andere Messingbauteile verwendeten Mes-
singlegierungen enthalten 2-3% Blei (Pb), EG-Nr. 231-468-6, CAS-Nr. 7439-92-1.
Bei normalem Gebrauch wird Blei nicht in das Gas oder in die Umwelt freige-
setzt. Am Ende seiner Lebensdauer muss das Erzeugnis von einem zugelasse-
nen Metallrecyclingunternehmen entsorgt werden, um eine wirksame Entsor-
gung des Materials bei minimalen Auswirkungen auf Umwelt und Gesundheit
zu gewährleisten.
Bis zum heutigen Tag liegen uns keine Informationen vor, die darauf hindeuten,
dass Materialien mit SVHC-Konzentrationen über 0,1% in GCE Produkten ent-
halten sind.

6. GEWÄHRLEISTUNG
Die Standard Garantiezeit beträgt zwei Jahre ab dem Datum des Warenemp-
fangs beim GCE Kunden (oder falls das nicht ermittelbar ist, ab dem Produktions-
datum Welches auf der Ware ausgewiesen ist.) Die Standard Garantiezeit ist nur
gültig für Waren, die entsprechend der Bedienungsanleitung und der generell
gültigen Praxis und Normen der Industrie gehandhabt wurden.

Chers clients,
Lomat, est un système ultra-moderne utilisable dans de nombreux cas.
L´appareil combiné avec les lances adéquates est utilisé pour le brasage fort,
le brasage tendre, réchauage, rétraction, flambage. Respectez les directives
d´utilisation pour l´ecacité et l´économie de votre chalumeau Lomat.
1. DIRECTIVES TECHNIQUES DE SÉCURITÉ
1.1. CHALUMEAU
Lomat ne présente aucun risque pour l´utilisateur respectuant des consignes de
sécurité. Les chalumeuax LORCH sont des appareils de précision à manipuler
avec précaution. Il est interdit de les déposer sur des bouteilles de gaz ou sur
des récipients creux. Pour les arrêts d´utilisation prolongés, protéger l´appareil
de la poussière et de l´humidité. Bien choisir la lance pour une utilisation parfaite
et en toute sécurité.
1.2. TUYAUX À GAZ
Les tuyaus à gaz subissent de fortes contraintes d´utilisation. Eviter de détériorer
les tuyaux par pliage, brûlure et salissure. Remplacer immédiatement les tuyaux
poreux ou endommagés. Ne pas faire passer les tuyaux entre les jambes ou au
dessus de la tête.
1.3. BOUTEILLES DE GAZ
Respecter les directives appliquées aux boutelilles de gaz et aux récipients sous
pression.
1.4. PROTECTION DU CORPS ET DES YEUX
Utilliser les protections spéciales pour le corps, les mains et les yeux (lunettes,
gants, etc.).
1.5. AÉRATION
Travailler seulement dans des locaux susamment aérés ou à l´extérieur.
Evacuer les gaz et les émanations sur place.
1.6. PROTECTION ANTIINCENDIE
Avant de commencer toute soudure, vérifier que des matériaux inflammables ou
explosifs ne sont pas à proximité. Ne pas diriger la buse du chalumeau vers soi
ou autre. Ne pas placer ou utiliser la lance à proximité d´une source de chaleur.
Respecter les directives nationales et celles de la prévention des accidents pour
l´utilisation des gaz liquides.
2. DIRECTIVES D´UTILISATION
2.1. RACCORD LOMAT
Raccorder de façon étanche le détendeur et la sécurité de rupture de tuyau à la
bouteille de propane (Propane normes DIN 51622). Connecter le tuyau à haute
pression au Lomat (1). Les raccords des filetages pour les gaz inflammables sont
à gauche G 3/8.

2.2. LANCES
Choisir les lances en fonction des travaux. Introduire la lance (9) dans l´alésage
du logement de la lance (4), enclencher par pression. Les appareils pivotant
par leur prope poids dans le chalumeau, peuvent être encledchés à 60° dans
la poignée. Tous les autres appareils ont une rotation de 360° dans la poignée
de chalumeau.
2.3. RÉGLAGE DU GAZ
Ouvrir lentement le robinet de la bouteile de gaz. Régler la pression de travail au
régleur de propane (indiqué sur la lance). Déplacer le robinet d´arrêt principal (2)
du Lomat dans le sens de l´ouverture, pour ouvrir l´alimentation en gaz.
Allumage du Lomat/Lomat Piezo
L´allumage de Lomat/Lomat-Piezo est possible quand:
• La lance est verrouilée à la poignée (fig. 2)
• Le robinet de réglage ouvert (2, fig. 3)
• Pression correcte
À la lance de rétraction:
• Le registre d´air à la lance de rétraction est ouvert (fig. 4)
2.4. ALLUMAGE MANUEL SANS LEVIER DE COMMANDE
Ouvrir le robinet d´arrêt principal et de réglage. Amorcer à la tête de lance avec
un allume-gaz.
2.5. ALLUMAGE MANUEL PAR LEVIER DE COMMANDE
Ouvrir le robinet d´arrêt principal et de réglage (2). Ouvrir le gaz en appuyant
sur le levier de commande (3). Amorcer à la tête de lance avec un allume-gaz.
2.6. ALUMAGE AUTOMATIQUE
Ouvrir le gaz en appuyant sur le levier de commande (3), le chalumeau est allu-
mé en même temps par l´amorçage Piezo.
2.7. ADAPTER LA FLAMME DE TRAVAIL
Pour augmenter la quantité de gaz, tourner le robinet de réglage (2) (en direction
ouvert) ou réduire (en direction fermer) (fig. 3)
Fonctionnement permanent
2.8. FONCTIONNEMENT PERMANENT SANS BOUTON DE VERROUILLAGE
Appuyer sur le levier de commande (3).
2.9. FONCTIONNEMENT PERMANENT AVEC BOUTON DE VERROUILLAGE
Appuyer sur le bouton de verrouillage (5) pour obtenir le fonctionnement perma-
nent. Déverrouiller en activant le levier de commande (3). Pour les lances avec
des longuerus de flamme > 150 mm, ne pas placer la lance sur la position de
fonctionnement permanent.
2.10. BRÛLEUR DE RÉCHAUFFAGE AVEC RÉGLAGE SUR FLAMME EN VEI
LEUSE
(Lance sans amorçage Piezo) En déposant le brûleur de réchauage, la flamme
revient d´elle même sur «flamme en veileuse». Régler la flamme avec la vis de
réglage pour veilleuse (6). Arrêter la flamme avec le robinet d´arrêt principal et
de réglage (2).

2.12. CHANGEMENT DE LANCES
Desserrer la lance en pressant sur le bouton de déverrouillage (7), le gaz est
coupé aussi.
2.13. INTERRUPTION DU TRAVAIL
• Pour fermer le robinet d´arrêt principal (2) tourner dans le sens de «fermer»
(fig. 3). Placer la lance sur l´étrier d´appui (8).
2.14. EN FIN DE TRAVAUX
• Fermer le robinet de la bouteille
• Laisser la flamme finir de brûler
• Fermer Robinet d´arrêt principal (2)
• Fermer Levier de commande (3)
3. DÉRANGEMENTS
En cas de dérangement, couper l´arrivée du gaz. Y-a-t-il du gaz? Régleur
ouvert? Sécurité rupture de tuyau activée? Lance bien enclenchée? Buse
ou filtre de chalumeau bouché par des salissures?
4. RÉPARATIONS
Confier les réparations à un fabricant ou un atelier agréé et avec des pièces
d´origine. Toute réparation eectuée par sa propre initiative présente
un risque pour la sécurité et annule les droits de garantie.
5. LA GESTION DES DÉCHETS
La durée de vie maximale de ce produit est de 5 ans.
Au terme de la durée de vie du produit, celui-ci doit être mis hors service.
L’exploitant de ce dispositif doit mettre en place les procédures nécessaires
pour empêcher la réutilisation du produit et le traiter conformément à la „Direc-
tive 2008/98/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil relative aux déchets“.
Conformément à l’article 33 du règlement REACH, la société GCE, s.r.o., en tant
que fabricant responsable, s’engage à informer tous les clients, si les matériaux
contiennent plus de 0,1 % ou plus de substances qui fi gurent sur la liste des
substances extrêmement préoccupantes (SVHC).
Les alliages de laiton les plus souvent utilisés pour les corps et autres compo-
sants en laiton contiennent 2-3 % de plomb (Pb), N° CE 231-468-6, N° CAS 7439-
92-1. En cas d’utilisation courante, le plomb ne peut pas se libérer dans le gaz,
ni dans le milieu environnant. Une fois la durée de vie du produit terminée, ce
dernier doit être éliminé par une société spécialisée dans le recyclage de mé-
taux ayant des autorisations requises en vue d’assurer une élimination ecace
du matériau et d’avoir un impact minimal sur l’environnement et la santé.
A ce jour, nous ne sommes pas en possession d’une telle information qui pour-
rait mener aux indications qu’un produit quelconque de GCE contient d’autres
matériaux dont la teneur en SVHC dépasse 0,1 %.

6. GARANTIE
La garantie standard est d’une période de deux ans à partir de la date d’achat
de l’appareil par le client (ou si cette date n’est pas connue, deux ans à compter
de la date de fabrication indiquée sur le produit).
La garantie standard est seulement valide en cas d’utilisation propre aux indica-
tions de la notice, standard, normes et bonnes pratiques du secteur.
