1. Important Safety
Information
Read and understand this manual
before using the torque gauge.
Incorrect use can cause SERIOUS
INJURY or DEATH.
This manual is part of the torque
gauge. It must be kept in a safe place
for later use and be passed along with
the torque gauge if it is sold, loaned,
or otherwise transferred.
The torque gauge should only be used
by TRAINED USERS who have been
instructed in the safe handling of the
tool. Operation without training can
cause SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
Ensure that these Operating
Instructions have been read and
understood prior to the initial use of
the torque gauge.
The Operating Instructions MUST be
available to the user at all times.

EN
1.1 Safety and Property Damage
Warnings
Warning information in this user
manual is classified as follows for
clearer distinction:
WARNING
Indicates a hazardous situation which,
if not prevented, could result in death
or serious injury.
Caution
Indicates a hazardous situation which,
if not prevented, can result in minor or
moderate injury.
NOTICE
Indicates a hazardous situation which,
if not prevented, can result in property
damage or in damage to the torque
gauge.
This is the safety alert symbol.
It is used to alert you to potential
personal injury hazards. Obey all
safety messages that follow this
symbol to avoid possible injury or
death.

7
EN
Note that this symbol is incorporated
into the “Warning” and “Caution”
indicators above.
WARNING
OVERLOAD HAZARD
Both the torque gauge and the torque
wrench can be overloaded during use
and break as a result. This might
cause SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH
Always use original accessory parts
ONLY. When using accessory parts
not approved by the manufacturer
there is also the risk that they will not
bear the loads.
Check the torque gauge for damage
prior to EVERY application.
WARNING
RISK OF EXPLOSION AND FIRE
Sparks can occur when using the
torque gauge, which can cause an
explosion or a fire and might cause
SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.

8
EN
NEVER use the torque gauge in areas
where sparks can cause explosions or
fires.
1.2 Personal Protective Gear
ALWAYS wear personal protective
gear when using the torque gauge.
The torque gauge or the torque
wrench can slip or break. This might
cause SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
ALWAYS wear EYE PROTECTION
(ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010) designed to
protect you from flying objects when
using the torque gauge.
PARTICLES may be hurled
upward during work with the torque
gauge. This might cause
SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
ALWAYS wear SAFETY GLOVES
when using the torque gauge.
The torque wrench or the torque
gauge can slip or break. This can
cause SERIOUS INJURY to
fingers and hands.

9
EN
ALWAYS wear SAFETY SHOES with
slip-resistant soles and steel toe caps
(ASTM F2413-05) when using the
torque gauge.
Falling parts can cause SERIOUS
INJURY to feet and toes.
1.3 Proper Use
The torque gauge is designed for
controlled torque tightening.
Use the torque gauge for this
application ONLY.
Any other use might cause
SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
NEVER allow children to use the
torque gauge.
1.4 Handling WARNING
Always follow the operation manual for
the torque wrench being used.
Take the following safety precautions
to prevent injuries and damage
caused by improper handling and
unsafe use of the torque gauge.

10
EN
Unsafe use can cause SERIOUS
INJURY or DEATH.
NEVER use the torque gauge for
loosening screw connections.
NEVER use a damaged torque
gauge.
NEVER use a torque gauge and
accessory parts that have been
modified.
NEVER modify a torque gauge
and accessory parts.
ALWAYS check the torque gauge,
particularly the square,
as well as the accessory parts,
for visible damage prior to use.
ALWAYS use standard accessory
parts or parts approved by the
manufacturer.
ALWAYS transport the torque
gauge in the shockproof packaging
material.
ALWAYS check the connection
between the tool and the drive of
the torque gauge with a gentle tug.

11
EN
1.5 Work Environment
ALWAYS use the torque gauge in a
safe work environment.
Keep the work space clean and
tidy.
The work space must be
sufficiently large and secured.
The work space must be free of
high dust concentration.
2. Using the rotation angle
measurement instrument
ALWAYS read the Important Safety
Information (section 1) BEFORE using
the torque gauge.
2.1 Adjusting the scale value
WARNING
Familiarise yourself with the torque
gauge and its scale.

12
EN
2.2 Torque-controlled tightening
(0-360°) WARNING
ALWAYS see to it that you do not
exceed the torque wrench's and the
torque gauge’s maximum load
capacity, including the values obtained
by angle tightening.
Incorrect torque-controlled tightening
can cause the screw connection to
break.
When adjusting the torque wrench and
torque gauge, always follow the
specifications for the screw
connection.
Once the joining moment has been
reached, the torque wrench must be
adjusted to its max. permissible
torque.
Select the appropriate torque gauge.
Insert the torque gauge between the
torque wrench's square drive and the
application tool's adaptor square.

13
EN
Loosen the locking screw on the
flexible rod and carefully secure the
magnet or gripper to a fixed structure.
This allows the flexible rod to be
moved into any position required.
Now tighten the locking screw again.
Turn the torque wrench by the handle
slowly and steadily in the direction of
the arrow (follow the direction of
rotation arrow) until the torque value is
reached.

14
EN
Remove the torque wrench from the
torque gauge. Now adjust the torque
wrench, as described in the operation
manual for the torque gauge, to its
max. permissible torque.
Set the degree disk to the desired
angle.
When doing so, the degree disk must
be held in position by means of the
magnet or gripper secured in position
earlier.
Now replace the torque wrench onto
the torque gauge.

15
EN
Turn the torque wrench by the handle
slowly and steadily in the direction of
the arrow until the torque gauge arrow
points to "0".
Do not overload the torque wrench.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Care and Storage
NOTICE.
The torque gauge can be damaged
due to improper handling. ALWAYS
take the following precautions to
prevent damage:
NEVER use cleansing agents to
clean the torque gauge.
They can cause the mechanism’s
permanent lubrication to be
degraded.

16
EN
Clean all parts after every use
ONLY with a clean cleaning cloth.
NEVER immerse the torque gauge
in water.
After use put the torque gauge
back in the packing material to
protect against corrosion.
Store the torque gauge in the
packing material in a clean and dry
location.
4. Environmentally Friendly
Disposal
Dispose of the torque wrench,
accessory parts and packaging
material in accordance with applicable
provisions of law.
