Subject: FCC Certification Authorization Application under FCC PART
15, Subpart C, Sec. 15.247 - Direct Sequence Spread
Spectrum Transmitters operating in the frequency band 2400 -
2483.5 MHz.
Product: PCMCIA WIRELESS LAN CARD
Model No.: WL-211F
FCC ID: MXF-WL211F
Dear Sir or Madam:
As appointed agent for GEMTEK TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., we would like to
submit the application to the Federal Communications Commission for certification
of the above product. Please review all necessary files uploaded to FCC OET site
for detailed information.
Since the rf exposure safety distance is small (2.4 cm) where the power density
reach 1mW/cm2and the antenna is enclosed within the case, the RF exposure risk
is in-considerable. Therefore, the applicant wishes to apply for the exemption of the
SAR test requirements. Please kindly refer to the RF Exposure Warning for
compliance with FCC Rule 2.1093 in the “RF Exposure Info” Exhibit and User’s
Manual for detailed information.
Enclosed you will find copy of the engineering report, the necessary documents
and information pertaining to this submission, in addition, please refer to the
multiple listing letters of agreement from Gemtek Technology Co. Ltd. and
NgeeAnn Polytechnic.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours truly,
Tri Minh Luu, P. Eng.,

6.6. 6 DB BANDWIDTH @ FCC 15.247(A)(2)
6.6.1. Limits
For a direct sequence spread spectrum system, the minimum 6 dB bandwidth shall be at least 500 KHz.
6.6.2. Method of Measurements
Refer to FCC 15.247(c) & ANSI C63.4:1992
The transmitter output was connected to the spectrum analyzer through an attenuator. the bandwidth of the fundamental
frequency was measured with the spectrum analyzer using 30 KHz RBW, VBW = 100 KHz,. The 6 dB bandwidth was
measured and recorded.
