2. Operating Instructions
Charging
a) Battery charger: Insert the Li-ion battery into the battery charger to charge.
b) DC adapter + charging cable: a charging cable for connection between device and DC
adapter.
c) USB cable: USB cable can also be used to charge the device. (maximum 500 mA)
Note: if you choose b) or c), there is a charging icon in the top right corner in the screen if device is <on>
Installing the TF card/SIM card/Battery
a) Turn the lock screw to take out the battery
b) Insert the SIM card and TF card according to the instructions in the battery compartment
c) Turn the lock screw to the lock position to properly insert the battery

Turning the collector on/off
a) Make sure the battery has enough power, or connect the receiver to your PC with a USB
cable.
b) Press power button for 3～5 seconds to turn on (until the boot screen appears)/ turn off.
Note: if the receiver is down, press the reset button in the bottom of the receiver to reset it.
Connecting to a PC
a) Make sure Microsoft ActiveSync application has been installed in Win-XP PC. And make
sure WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center) has been installed in Vista/Win7/Win8 PC.
b) Connect receiver to PC with USB cable.
c) ActiveSync/WMDC application connect receiver and PC automatically. When this is
icon appears in the tool bar ofPCand ‘Synchronization Setup Wizard’ appears meantime,
click ‘Cancel’.
d) Click ‘Browse’ to check the files in the receiver, and then transfer data between your PC
and the receiver.
Note: it is suggested to install the application in ‘ F lash Storage ’ , and to save your data in a TF card.
Install Application
a) Make sure SXPro is connected with your PC via ActiveSync or WMDC.
b) Click install file on your PC to start the installation. If the install file is compatible for
mobile devices, copy the file into the SXPro and click to start the installation.
c) Select installation directory in the SXPro(‘Flash Storage’ is suggested); Click ‘install’.
USB Data Cables
This version supports a USB interface. Yau can connect your SXPro with your PC via the uSB
cable, copy and move the files amongst the SXPro and PC, or browse the images, recorded
files and video files saved in the SXPro via the PC.
a) Insert the USB data cable connector into the SXPro via PC.
b) Connect the other side of the USB data cable with the PC's USB Interface.

Camera
a) Select ‘Start->Picture & Video’，select ‘Camera’ or camera icon totake photos.
b) Press camera key to take photos.
c) Click screen and select ‘OK’ to exit.
User Serial Port
User serial port is COM1. Transfer data between SXPRO and other devices by a specialized cable
named DB9 9PIN Fischer Cable.
Wireless Connection（Bluetooth/GPRS/WIFI）
Bluetooth
a) Select ‘Start->Settings->Connections->Wireless management’, click the icon to
activate the Bluetooth device.
b) Select ‘Start-> Settings-> Bluetooth’, click ‘Add new device’. According to the tips shown
on the screen to finish the operation of pairing the other BT Device.
Note: Bluetooth virtual port is COM5 and COM9.
GPRS/3G Data connection
a) Make sure there's a SIM card in the receiver.
b) Select ‘Start->Settings->Connections->Connections’.
c) Click ‘Add a new modem connection’.
d) Input connection name, select ‘Cellular Line (GPRS)’, click ‘Next’.
e) Input ‘Access point name’, click ‘Next’.
f) Click ‘Finish’ and add new connection successfully.
g) Click ‘Manage existing connections’.
h) Click on the new connection for a few seconds and select ‘Connect’.
i) There is an identifier on the signal icon on the top right corner, indicates the successful
connection.
WIFI
a) Select 'Start->Settings->Connections->Wi-Fi'；
b) Click ‘Search for Networks’, select a network that is listed. Follow the installation guide to
input password and finish the connection.
Using external antenna
a) Unpack the appropriate TNC-TNC cable and
MCX-TNC cable from your SXPro RTK kit.
b) Plug the MCX connector of MCX-TNC cable
into the external antenna connector of you
SXPro RTK.
c) Connect the external antenna with the
appropriate connector of TNC-TNC cable.
d) Screw together both cables as shown
on the picture.

Auto power off (*actually backlight off, the device does not support auto power off *) Select
‘
St ar t-> Settings-> System-> Power-> A dvanced ’ , set the power off time in different
conditions. Backlight will be off according to the settings
Remove programs
Select
‘ St ar t-> Settings-> System-> Remove Programs ’ , select the program in the list and
click
‘ OK ’ to remove.
Restore Factory Defaults
Select
‘ Start-> Settings-> System-> Clean Boot , restore factory defaults settings according
to the guide
4. Environmental
•Operating temperature: -10℃~+55℃
•Storage temperature: -20℃~+70℃
•Drop: 1.5 m drop onto all surfaces
•Casing: Dustproof and resistant to heavy wind driven rain per IP67 standard
•Humidity: 5% ~ 95% (non-condensing)
3. Useful Settings
Screen response
Select
‘ Start-> Settings-> System-> Screen ’ , click ‘ A lign Screen ’ icon and follow the guide to
align the screen.
Adjust backlight
Select
‘ St ar t-> Settings-> System-> Backlight', adjust backlight status according to the guide.

GNSSViewer
NTRIP/DIP client configuration
QuickStart configuration for SXPro RTK
1. Verify if GNSSViewer is preinstalled ont your SXPro.
2. If not, download GNSSViewer.zip from www.sxbluegps.com/download/ in the SXBlue
Softwares section.
3. Unzip and copy GNSSViewer into your SXPro RTK.
4. Run GNSSViewer.exe and select the “Other” on GPSPort, then set the BaudRate to as the picture
below. Click OK.
5 Click ‘Setup’ àNtrip/TCP àNTripClient. Make sure you have an internet connection on your SXPro
RTK device. For Direct IP Client, select TCP Client.

6. Click Setup.
7. Set up parameters of IP, Port, username and password as following picture. Please use your local
parameters! Click OK when you are done. For Direct IP client, set up IP and port parameters, then
click OK and go to step 8.

8. Click on the ‘Start’ to update Source Table. You will get a message “Update SourceTable
Successfully!”
9. Choose the right MountPoint on MP dropdown menu as following and click Start again.

10.Wait till you receive “Connect Server Successfully!” message.
11. Click ‘Return’ to go back to the main interface.
12. Enjoy your SXPro RTK Handheld GNSS receiver!
