2. Operating Instructions
•
Charging
a) Battery charger: Insert the Li-ion battery into the battery charger to charge.
b) DC adapter + charging cable: a charging cable for connection between device and DC
adapter.
c) USB cable: USB cable can also be used to charge the device. (maximum 500mA)
Note: if you choose b) or c), there is a charging icon in the top right corner in the screen if device is <on>
•
Installing the TF card/SIM card/Battery
a) Turn the lock screw to take out the battery
b) Insert the SIM card and TF card according to the instructions in the battery compartment
c) Turn the lock screw to the lock position to properly insert the battery

•
Turning the collector on/off
a) Make sure the battery has enough power, or connect the receiver to your PC with a USB
cable.
b) Press power button for 3~5 seconds to turn on (until the boot screen appears)/ turn off.
Note: if the receiver is down, press the reset button in the bottom of the receiver to reset it.

Connecting to a PC
a) Make sure Microsoft ActiveSync application has been installed in Win-XP PC. And make
sure WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center) has been installed in Vista/Win7/Win8 PC.
b) Connect receiver to PC with USB cable.
c) ActiveSync/WMDC application connect receiver and PC automatically. When this is
icon appears in the tool bar of PC and ‘Synchronization Setup Wizard’ appears meantime,
click ‘Cancel’.
d) Click ‘Browse’ to check the files in the receiver, and then transfer data between your PC
and the receiver.
•
Install Application
a) Make sure SXPRO is connected with your PC via ActiveSync or WMDC.
b) Click install file on your PC to start the installation. If the install file is compatible for
mobile devices, copy the file into the SXPRO and click to start the installation.
c) Select installation directory in the SXPRO(‘Flash Storage’ is suggested); Click ‘install’.
Note: it is suggested to install the application in

and to save your data in a TF card.

GNSSViewer Quick Start
a) Copy GNSSViewer into SXPro.
b) Run it, and select the GNSS board, GPSPORT, BaudRate as the picture below.
c) Click OK.

d) Click ‘Setup’-> Ntrip Client
e) Click Setup.
f) Setup parameters of IP, Port, Account and password as following picture. Click ‘OK’
indicated by the red circle.
Notes: please use the local parameters.

g) Select ‘Update Source Table’ and click start.
h) Select proper mount point and click ‘Start’ again.
i) Click ‘Return’ to the main interface.

Camera
a) Select ‘Start->Picture & Video’,select ‘Camera’ or camera icon to take photos.
b) Press camera key to take photos.
c) Click screen and select ‘OK’ to exit.

User Serial Port
User serial port is COM1. Transfer data between SXPRO and other devices by a specialized cable
named DB9 9PIN Fischer Cable.
•
Wireless Connection(Bluetooth/GPRS/WIFI)
Bluetooth
a) Select ‘Start->Settings->Connections->Wireless management’, click the icon to
activate the Bluetooth device.
b) Select ‘Start-> Settings-> Bluetooth’, click ‘Add new device’. According to the tips shown
on the screen to finish the operation of pairing the other BT Device.
Note: Bluetooth virtual port is COM5 and COM9.
GPRS/3G Data connection
a) Make sure there's a SIM card in the receiver.
b) Select ‘Start->Settings->Connections->Connections’.
c) Click ‘Add a new modem connection’.
d) Input connection name, select ‘Cellular Line (GPRS)’, click ‘Next’.
e) Input ‘Access point name’, click ‘Next’.
f) Click ‘Finish’ and add new connection successfully.
g) Click ‘Manage existing connections’.
h) Click on the new connection for a few seconds and select ‘Connect’.
i) There is an identifier on the signal icon on the top right corner, indicates the successful
connection.
WIFI
a) Select 'Start->Settings->Connections->Wi-Fi';
b) Click ‘Search for Networks’, select a network that is listed. Follow the installation guide to
input password and finish the connection.

Battery safety
Charge battery only in temperature ranging from 32℉ to 140℉ (0℃ to 60℃)
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same
or equivalent type of battery recommended by the manufacturer.
The maximum operating ambient temperature of the switching power supply declared by the
manufacturer is 50℃.
Dispose of used batteries according to battery manufacturer

WiFi safety
Turn WiFi off in areas where WiFi use is prohibited or when it may cause interference
or danger, such as in airplanes while flying.
Care and maintenance
SXPro is an electronic product and should be treated with care, to reduce the risk of
fire, electronic shock, or product damage take the following precautions:
•
Do not expose this device to rain, moisture, or any type of liquid that corrodes
electronic circuits. If your device gets wet, immediately turn the power off. Allow
the device to dry completely before using it again.
•
Clean the display with a soft cloth, and be careful not to wipe the display
with anything abrasive.
•
Do not expose your device to extreme heat (55℃) or cold (-10℃). For example, do
not leave it in the trunk of your car in high heat conditions.
•
Do not attempt to open the device other than as instructed in this manual.
•
Rough handling can break internal circuitry.
•
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean
the device.
•
Use only the recommended accessories.
•
Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones, which can cause
hearing loss.
