1. The salt container must only be refil led when the salt warning light in the control panel comes on.
Depending on how well the salt dissolve s, the salt warning light may still be on even though the
salt container is filled.
If there is no salt warning light in the con trol panel (for some Mode ls),you can estimate when to fill
the salt into the softener by the cycles that the dishwasher has run.
2. If there are spills of the salt, a soak or a rapid program should be run to remove the excessive sa lt.
Always use the salt intended for use with dishwasher.
The salt contain er is located beneath the lower basket and should be filled as explained
in the foll owing:
Attention!
Only use salt spe cifically designe d for the use i n dishw ashers! Every other type of
salt not specifically desig ned fo r the use in a dishwasher, espe cially table salt, will
damage the w ater softener. In case of damages caused by the use of unsuitable
salt the ma nufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any damages caused.
Only fil l with salt just before starting one of the co mplete washing p rograms.
This will preve nt any grains of salt or salty wate r, which may have been spilled,
remaining on the bottom of the machi ne for any period of time, which may cause
corrosi on.

The rinse aid is rele ased d uring the final rinse to prevent water from forming droplets on your dishes, whic h can
leave spots and streaks. It also improves dry ing by allowing water to roll off t he dishes. Your dishwasher is
design ed to use liquid rinse ai ds. The rinse aid dispenser is located inside the door next to the detergent dispenser.
To fill the dispenser, ope n the cap and pour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level indicator turns c ompletel y
black. The volume of the rinse aid c ontainer is about 110m l.
Rinse Aid Dispenser
Function of Rinse Aid
Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spo t an d streak free drying.
Attention!
Only use brand ed rinse aid for dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dis penser with any o ther substances
(e.g. Di shwasher cleaning ag ent, liquid detergent). Th is would damage the app lian ce.
Full fil l the salt container with wa ter,It is normal for a small amount of water to com e out of the

To open the dispenser, turn the cap to the "open" (left) arrow and lift it out.
Pour the rinse aid into the dispenser, being careful not to overfill .
Replace the cap by inserting it aligned with "open" arrow and turning it to the closed (right) arrow.
Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser
The rinse aid dispenser has six or four setting s. Always st art with the dispenser

aid dispensed by removing the dispenser lid and rotating the dial to "5". If the
dishes still are not drying properly o r are show spots, adj ust the dial to the next
high er lever until your dishes are spot-free. The recommended setting is "4".
(Factory value is "4".)

Proper Use of Detergent
Use only det ergent specifically m ade for the use in dishwasher s. Keep your det ergent fresh and dry.
Don't put powdered detergent into the dispenser u ntil you're ready to wash dish es.
Attention!

7
Amount of Detergent to Use
Based on their chemical composition, deterge nts can be split in two basic types:
Dete rgent tablets of different brands disso lve at di fferent speeds. For this r eason some
detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop the ir full cleaning power during short
prog rams. Therefore please use l ong program s when using detergent tablets, to
ensure the complete rem oval of detergent residuals.
The dispenser must be re filled before the start of each wash cycle following the instructions
provided in the w ash cycle table . Your dis hwa sher uses less de tergent and rinse aid than
Conventiona l dis hwa sher. Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for
a normal wash load. More heavily soiled items need more detergent. Always ad d the
detergent just be fore starting the dish was her, otherwise it could get damp and will not
dissolve properly.

Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a potential haza rd!
Long and/or sharp item s of cutlery such as carving knives must be positi oned
horizonta lly in the upper basket.
Please do not ove rload your dishwasher. This is important for good results and for
reasonab le consumption of energy.
Load hollow items such as cups, gl asses, pans etc. With the opening facing downwards so that
water can not collect in the container or a deep base.
Consider buying utensils which are identified as dishwasher-proof.
Use a mild detergent that is described as 'kind to dishes'. If necessary, seek further
information from the detergent manufacturers.
For particular items, select a progr am with as low a temperature as possible.
To prevent damage, do not take glass and cutlery out of the dishwasher immediately

Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the basket.
To prevent water dripping from the uppe r basket into the lower basket, we recommend that you
empty the lower basket first and the n the upper basket.

Adjusting the Upper Basket
The h eight of the upper ba sket can be adjusted in order to
create more space for larg e utensil s both for the upper

should be placed on the shelf so th at they do not obstruct
the ro tation of the spray ar ms..
Folding back the cup shelives
For better stacking of pots and pans,
the spikes can be folded down as

We suggest that you place large items and the most
difficu lt to clean items are to be placed into the lo wer

bowls, as shown in the figure below. It is pre ferable to
place serving dishes and lids on the side of the rack s
in order to avoid bl ocking the rotation of the top spray
arm.
Pots, serving bowls, etc, must alw ays be placed to p down.
Deep pots should be slanted to allow water to flow out.
Please be reminded that:
The Botto m Basket features fo lding spikes so that larger or more pots and pans can be loade d.
Cutlery shoul d be pla ced in the cutlery rack separately
from each other in th e ap propriate positions, and d o
make sure th e utensil s do not nest together, this may
cause bad performance.
For a top quality cleaning, place the silverware in the basket
maki ng sure that:
They do not nest together.

It is recommend that you run a was h cy cle with the
dishwasher empty and then remove the plug from the
sock et, turn off the wa ter supp ly and leave the door of
the appliance slightly open. This will help the d oor
seals to last longer and pr event odours from forming
withi n the appliance.
If the appliance must be moved, try to keep it in the
vertical position. If absolutely necessary, it can be
positioned on its back.
One of the factors that cause odours to form in the
dishwasher is food that remains trapped in the seals.
Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent this
from occurring.
Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always
remove the plug from the socket.
To cle an the exterior and rubber p arts of the dishw asher,
do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products.
Only use a clo th with warm so apy water.
To remove spots or stains from the surface of the
interior, use a cloth da mpened with water an a little
vinegar, o r a cleaning pro duct made specifically for
dishw ashers.
