Thank you for having purchased a Gold Note® product.

Introduction

The Koala Anniversary USB Special Edition is

the latest evolution of the best know Gold

Note CD player.

Despite its compact design the Koala

Anniversary USB Special Edition features the

best Aluminium Mechanic Transport made in

Austria by Stream Unlimited used in top Cd

players such as Gold Note Favard and the best

units of the market.

Besides the Koala Anniversary USB Special Edition features the proprietary Gold Note output Zero-Clock™

enables a very effective jitter reducing an easy matching ability with audio amplifiers.

The Zero-Clock™ is a proprietary design controlled by a T.I. CDCE906 Clock Master generator allows to reshape

the clock every time the unit plays an audio signal for perfectly aligned digital audio signal transmission.

The Koala Anniversary USB Special Edition is powered by the proprietary Electro-Power™ design technology

keeps the unit voltage extremely stable on the audio signal paths to achieve first class performance.

The Electro-Power™ technology enables the CD player reducing speed fluctuations lower than 0.0001% in any

AC system, galvanically shielding the unit from the environment.

The Koala Anniversary exclusively features 24bit 192KHz resolution D/A Converter with one S/PDif coaxial port

powered by AKM digital receiver and one USB 24bit 192KHz resolution port powered by top class XMOS XS1-

L1 500MHz USB high-speed peripheral.

The Koala Anniversary features a Class-A truly balanced output stage made with two 6922 tubes for smooth but

detailed sound quality (S/S on demand).

The Koala Anniversary generation is offered with an elegant Organic-Led 3D display visible from any angle and

long distance easily.

- Open all the cartons inside the main box and look that all the components listed are present.

- Carefully remove the Koala CD Player chassis from the shipping box and foam.

- Connect the audio cable (not supplied) and the AC Power Chord supplied.

Once the Koala has been correctly wired and positioned on a solid shelf it is ready to play.

(REMOTE CONTROL)

•

Select CD from the rectangular frame to activate the Koala

functions on the remote.

• The arrows IN UP & DOWN select the CD or the DAC functions. They

can be activated only in STOP Mode.

• It is possible to activate or deactivate the volume control pressing in

sequence STOP, SKIP>I, PLAY, STOP with the unit turned ON without

any disc inside the drawer when the display shows NO DISC. The

Volume controls let you also adjust the BALANCE Mode. When the unit

is turned off it keeps in memory the last volume/balance selected if kept

5 seconds at least before turning Off. With the volume setup

deactivated all volume functions are reset to max level and the volume

stage is completely over jumped.

• During PLAY mode the DISP button turns off the display for user

convenience, if any function is activated it the display lights up for about

5 seconds.

• The Red On/Off button is exclusively a Stand-by function. To turn Off

the player completely turns off the master switch of the rear panel (5).

• To access directly to the tracks dial the number and wait for automatic

track access.

REPEAT

mode works as follow:

o Pressing once REPEAT ONE TRACK

o Pressing Twice REPEAT ALL DISC

o Pressing three times SHUFFLE MODE (the disc is played in a

different occasional order than the normal 1, 2, 3….)

PLEASE NOTE: The POWER red button works only as stand-by. To completely turn OFF the unit the panel ON/OFF button

must be used. Turning OFF the unit from the remote will leave the output circuit section completely ON.

To validate the warranty is necessary to register the unit on the Gold Note internet web site within 15 days from the purchase on the appropriate area of the

web site: http://www.goldnote.it/

If the unit is not registered correctly or is been purchased from a different country of the purchaser origin/home the unit will not be covered by any warranty

and the eventual registration refused.

The warranty does not does not cover in any case: Tubes, Phono Cartridge Styli and Batteries.

HOW TO ADJUST IT

LEVELLING THE CD PLAYER

•

The CD Player is not performing

top level

• Take care of levelling the unit with the help of a spirit

level.

The CD PLAYER tray does sticks open even

when the display shows “closing” after the

right command is pressed

The CD Player bottom rails are dry

or dirty

• With EXTREME care exclusively using alcohol and a

soft 100% cotton cloth sweep dust and stains out.

Drop some liquid but adhesive oil of the tray rails and move the

part in&out to share it well.

CLEANING THE CD PLAYER

•

The CD Player is dirty and needs

to be cleaned

Clean the Player exclusively using alcohol and a soft 100%

cotton cloth sweep dust and stains out. Do not touch the writes

of the front panel ever. Any acid or synthetic cloth may

irreversibly damage the CD Player fine aesthetic.

the unit.
