1. Installation
All scanning channels operations are carried out in the menu sections – Satellite, Terrestrial
or Cable, depending on the received TV format.
The receiver supports reception:
– DVB-S, DVB-S2 digital satellite channels, including T2-MI packet encapsulation;
– digital DVB-T, DVB-T2 terrestrial channels with the ability to supply +5V power to an active
terrestrial antenna;
– digital DVB-C cable channels.
The receiver supports work with MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (H.264) and HEVC (H.265) video codecs.
Thus, the receiver provides viewing not only SD and HD TV channels, but it is possible to
watch a UHD channel at a bit rate up to 22 Mbps via streaming on devices that have the
necessary hardware support. More details can be found in the separate RAMF options
manual.
1.1. Satellite Dish Installation Options and Channel Scan
Before starting the dish installation, it is worth mentioning that if you have an Android
smartphone, it is best to use the RAMF application. In this case, the receiver will become a
very high-quality sat finder. More details can be found in the separate RAMF options manual.
To scan the channels of the entire satellite or a specific operator, select the Installation section
in the main menu using the left/right buttons on the remote control. Then, using the up/down
buttons, you need to select the Satellite List and enter it through the OK button.
In the window that opens, in the Satellite section, use the up/down buttons to select the
required satellite or operator, and the operator's name always begins with a dot and cannot
be confused with the satellite name.

Then, using the button to the right, you go to the LNB settings.
If necessary, you can change the following parameters in the LNB settings:
LNB Frequency – indicates the frequency or frequencies of the LNB local oscillators;
DiSEqC1.0 – using the DiSEqC 1.0/2.0 version, you need to put the port with the connected
LNB. Otherwise, the value remains – Disable;
DiSEqC1.1 – using the DiSEqC 1.1/2.1 version, you need to put the port with the connected
LNB. Otherwise, the value remains – Disable;

22K – tone burst for Ku LNB bands switching. If a universal LNB is used, this parameter is
not set, and the receiver itself generates the required command. If you use a circular LNB,
you can change this parameter;
LNB Power – allows you to set one LNB operating polarization – H (18 V) or V (13 V). When
using two polarizations, the value is left – Auto;
Motor Setup – if you have a motorized system, select the type of protocol used, namely
DiSEqC1.2 or USALS. The choice of the protocol is carried out using the right / left buttons.
After finishing the LNB settings, press the Blue button to go to the channel scan settings. The
window contains the following parameters:
Scan Type – if you select one satellite in the settings, you will be prompted to search for
channels from this satellite. If several satellites are selected in the settings, you can search
for channels from several satellites;
Satellite – the name of the satellite from which the channel will be scanned is displayed. If
you select several satellites in the settings, and in the scan type – All Satellites Search, you
can select the satellite from which the channels will be scanned;
FTA Only – if you select Yes, the receiver will scan only open unencrypted channels ,
otherwise the value No is selected;
Scan Channels – the type of channels to be scanned is selected. You can select separately
TV channels, radio channels and jointly TV channels with radio channels;
Network Search – allows you to search for channels by satellite operator transmitted
parameters if you select Yes;
Scan Mode – Full Scan is used to scan all transponders of the selected satellite or operator.
Blind Scan is used when the receiver itself calculates the unknown parameters of the
transponders and scans the channels using them;
At the end of the settings, the line – Search is selected and the OK button is pressed to go to
direct channel scanning.

The functional purpose of the additional buttons in the satellite settings section:
Red – used to add a new satellite/transponder;
Green – used to edit the parameters of an existing satellite/transponder;
Yellow – used to remove a satellite/transponder from the list;
Blue – used to search for channels from a satellite/transponder;
0 – allows you to generate a report on the quality of antenna tuning to the satellite;
OK – switches between the satellite and its transponders;
SAT (GROUP) – allows you to select several satellites/transponders at the same time;
Info – allows you to select all satellites/transponders.
1.2. Satellite Dish Installation Report Generation
If you have an Android smartphone, it is best to use the RAMF app. In this case, you can not
only generate a report, but also send it to the installer or operator through the "Share" functio n.
More details can be found in the separate RAMF options manual.
The receiver supports the report generation, according to which you can check the quality of
the antenna tuning to the satellite. It can be used to determine poor-quality antenna tuning to
the satellite or problems with the LNB. That will reduce the time for eliminating signal receiving
problems.
The report is generated automatically in HTML file on a USB disk or USB flash drive. To
execute the report, the receiver must be connected to a satellite dish from which the signal is
received, and a USB disk or USB flash drive formatted in the FAT32 file system must be
connected to the receiver.
To create a report, select the Settings section in the main menu, go to the Satellite list.

Next, we check that the required satellite is selected, and the settings are correct for it. Next,
press the 0 button on the remote control, as a result of which the receiver analyzes all
registered transponders and writes the information received into an HTML file with the name
of the satellite and the date of creation.
The HTML file can be viewed on a computer in any browser.

The report file contains the date of the report creation, the used receiver firmware, the serial
number of the receiver and the name of the satellite. Among the received parameters will be
listed:
Power – average power LNB consumption in watts for horizontal and vertical polarization;
RSSI – indicator of the received signal level in decibels per microvolt, average, minimum,
maximum and difference values;
C/N – carrier-to-noise ratio in decibels, average, minimum, maximum and difference values;
LM – signal margin indicator in decibels, average, minimum, maximum and difference values.
There is also a table with the detailed parameters of each transponder, in which you can see:
transponder parameters, applied voltage and current consumed by the LNB, signal
modulation, signal level, carrier-to-noise ratio, LM, the packet errors presence and the result.
1.3. Terrestrial Antenna Installation and Channel Scanning
If you have an Android smartphone, then you can install an antenna with the best signal
margin using the RAMF application. You will receive an opportunity to tune the terrestrial
antenna in decibels. That will allow you to estimate the signal reserve for bad weather. More
details can be found in the separate RAMF options manual.
To scan terrestrial channels, you need to select the Settings section in the main menu using
the left/right buttons on the remote control, in it, use the up/down buttons to select the
Terrestrial menu item and enter it by pressing the OK button.

In the window that opens, using the up/down buttons, you will need to select the Country
menu item, press the OK button, select a country from the list using the up/down buttons (for
example, Russia) and then press the OK button. This is necessary to preload the multiplexes
parameters used in a particular country for broadcasting.
In the case of using an active terrestrial antenna with a built-in signal amplifier, use the
up/down buttons to select the line – Antenna power and use the right/left buttons to select the
value – On. As a result, the +5V supply voltage will be applied to the terrestrial antenna. When
using a passive terrestrial antenna, do not supply power to it, as this can cause a short circuit
in the power circuit.
After making the presets for automatic channel scanning, use the up/down buttons to select
the Auto Search menu line and press the OK button. As a result, the receiver will scan all
registered multiplexes in automatic mode, and if there is a satisfactory signal level, it will find
all broadcast channels.
If the frequencies are already known, or if you need to tune the antenna to the maximum
signal, then use the up/down buttons to select the line Manual Search and press the OK
button. As a result, the following menu will be displayed:
Frequency Channel – if you know the channel number on which the broadcast is carried out,
then use the left/right buttons to select its value;
Frequency (kHz) – if you know the frequency of the channel on which the broadcast is carried
out, then using the number buttons, enter its value in kHz;
Bandwidth – use the left/right buttons to indicate the bandwidth in MHz: 6M, 7M or 8M;
Network Search – allows you to search for channels transmitted by DVBT/T2 operators. In
this case, indicate one operator frequency, and if there is information about the network on it,
the receiver will determine all operator multiplexes.

After specifying all the parameters of the multiplex from which the broadcast is made, we
search for the optimal location of the antenna until the maximum value of the Signal Quality
scale is obtained.
At the end of the settings for scanning the multiplex, select the line - Manual search and press
the OK button to search for channels.
1.4. Scanning Cable (DVB-C) Channels

To scan cable channels, in the main menu, using the left/right buttons on the remote control.
Select the section Settings, then using the up/down buttons choose Cable and enter it by
pressing the OK button.
The user will have two options for scanning channels – Manual Search and Range Search.
First you will need to check your cable operator parameters: the frequencies at which the
broadcast is performed, used symbol rate and modulation.
In Manual Search, you will need to enter the transmitter frequency using the number buttons
on the remote control, its symbol rate and modulation. You can also choose to scan through
the NIT tables transmitted by the operator and search for only open channels. To start channel
scanning, select the Start Search line and press the OK button on the remote control.
If the parameters of the transmitter on which the channels are broadcast are entered correctly,
the bottom of the screen will display information on signal levels and the presence of errors
with drawing on interactive scales:
RF Level – signal level at the transmitter in dBuV;
BER – bit error rate when receiving a signal;
C/N – is the carrier-to-noise ratio in dB.
These parameters allow you to evaluate the quality of reception of a digital cable signal and
can be used to diagnose possible problems.
In Range Search, the operator's start, end frequencies and symbol rate are entered using the
number buttons on the remote control, symbol rate. Then choose the modulation. You can
also choose to scan only open channels. To start channel scanning, select the Start search
line and press the OK button on the remote control.

At the bottom of the screen you can find information on the reception parameters:
RF Level – signal level at the transmitter in dBuV;
BER – bit error rate when receiving a signal;
C/N – is the carrier-to-noise ratio in dB.
1.5. System Information
This menu section contains information about the installed firmware in the receiver.

MAINCODE – the version of the main firmware code and the date of the software;
Application – receiver model, firmware version and software date;
OTA – OTA (over the air) update and software date.
1.6. Factory Settings
This option is used to reset the receiver to factory defaults, which will erase all settings made
by the user. All scanned channels will be deleted exactly.
The default password for reset access is 0000.
1.7. USB Upgrade
This section is used to update the receiver software via a USB storage device formatted in
the FAT32 file system. Contains the following parameters:
Upgrade Mode – allows you to select the process of updating the receiver. All code – this is
the main firmware code + bootloader + settings. User DB – basic user settings. Maincode –
is just the main firmware code. User data is saved;
Upgrade File – a file is selected to be loaded into the receiver;
Start – to start the update process, select this line and press the OK button.
Attention! During the firmware update, it is strictly forbidden to remove the USB drive or to
turn off the receiver's power because this can lead to receiver damage. Subsequent
restoration is possible only at a service center.

1.8. USB Backup
This section is used to save the settings to a USB storage device formatted in the FAT32 file
system. Contains the following parameters:
Backup Mode – allows you to select the process of saving data - Full image, Presets or User
base;
Start – to start the update process, select this line and press the OK button.

2. System
This section of the menu is used to make basic system settings for the receiver: language
settings, TV settings, time settings, locking menu and channels, displaying messages, as well
as obtaining information about the used access card.
2.1. Language

In this section you can set the displayed menu language of the receiver, the first and second
soundtracks languages of the received channel, the language for displaying subtitles (if
available on a TV channel) and the language for teletext.
2.2. AV Settings
This section specifies the signal parameters used when connecting the receiver to the TV.
Exactly, you can do the setting:
TV System – the TV color system is indicated – PAL, NTSC or Auto;
Video Resolution – sets the maximum desired picture resolution supported by the TV when
connected via the HDMI cable. The following resolutions are available: 576i, 576p, 720p,
1080i, 1080p, or Auto;
Aspect Mode – the mode of the TV screen aspect ratio is set – 4:3 LetterBox, 4:3 PanScan,
16:9 or Auto;
Video Effects – the following effects are available: Default, Vivid or Standard;
Audio Out – the following audio output formats are available: LPCM Out, BS Out, SPDIF or
Auto.
2.3. Local Time Settings
This section is used to set the time and date.
The following parameters are available:

GMT Usage – when this parameter is enabled, the receiver will be able to receive the GMT
time from the satellite. Otherwise, the date and time are entered manually from the remote
control and remain valid until the receiver is switched off;
GMT Offset – the time zone offset relative to Greenwich is set;
Summer Time – if enabled, allows you to take into account the transition to daylight saving
time;
Date – in the case of manual input of the date, the current date is indicated;
Time – in the case of manual time input, the current time is indicated.
2.4. Parental Lock
This section is used to block access to certain functions of the receiver and limit the viewing
of unwanted channels. To enter the parental lock, the default password is 0000, which can
be further changed by the user. The following parameters are available for customization:
Age Limit – allows you to set the age restrictions for the viewed programs: 7 years old, 12
years old, 15 years old, 18 years old, Block all or View all;
Menu Lock – when this option is turned on, access to the lists of satellites and channels, as
well as to network applications will be carried out only after entering the password. If you do
not want to block these menu items, then you must turn off the blocking;
Channel Lock – when this option is turned on, it will be possible to lock the selected channels
through the channel editor, access to which will be carried out after entering the password;
New Password – used to change the default password of the receiver;
Confirm Password – re-enter the new password to confirm it.

2.5. OSD Settings
This section is intended to make settings for the information panel, which is displayed while
watching a channel (if you press the INFO button on the remote control). The following
parameters are available for customization:
Subtitle Display – allows you to enable subtitles (if the operator sends them) when watching
the channels;
OSD Timeout – set the time in seconds after which the info banner will be hidden;

OSD Transparency – allows you to set the info banner transparency level as a percentage.
2.6. CAS (Card Slot)
This section is used to obtain the subscriptions information contained on the access card, as
well as to view information about the access card itself.
