Part 1. GP-723 system requirements
System requirements:
zMicrosoft Windows 2000 / Windows 2000 server /Windows XP SP2
zCPU: Pentium Ⅳ1.5GHz or better
zMemory: upwards of 128MB
zVGA graphic card upwards of 32MB
zSound card
zCD-ROM
zUSB 2.0 port
Caution: the product is only suitable for PC with USB 2.0 port. It won’t work when
connecting with PC with USB 1.1 or previous version. If your want to connect it
with PC with USB 1.1, you should install a PCI→USB 2.0 commutator for
conversion.
Part 2. GP-723 driver installation
1.Please insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM driver,
2.then you will see the screen below.:

3.Connect GP-723 to your PC as picture 1, then there is a “Found New Hardware” hint at
the right and bottom edge of the PC screen as picture 2:

4.“Found New Hardware Wizard” window pops up. Choose the second option and click
Next to continue.

5. Search and Installation window pops up as follow, choose “Search removable
media(floppy, CD-ROM.)”and “include this location in the search;”
6. Click Next, then wait for wizard searching window pops up as follows:

7. A guide window pops up as follows, click“Continue anyway”to continue.

9. Click Finish to finish installing.
Note: If the USB port in your computer is USB 1.1, the driver installation will not be
finished, and the cannot start this hardware window will appear as follows:

Part 3. Microsoft DirectX9 installation
If you have not install DirectX9 in your system, you have to install it; and you can
skip this part if DirectX9 has been installed before.
1.Back to the installation screen:

2.Click DirectX 9, pop up installing Microsoft(R) DirectX(R) window as follows. Choose “I
accept the agreement “and click Next to continue.
3.The DirectX Setup screen appears as follows, click Next to continue.

4.The Progress screen appears as follows, start DirectX 9 installation.
5.Installation has been completed.

Part 4. Goscam software installation
1.Back to the installation screen:
2.Click Goscam button, the Setup window pops up as followed,

3.Click Next. The License agreement screen appears.
4. Click Yes. The User Information screen appears as follows:

5.Input Name, Company name and the Serial Number of product. You can find the Serial
Number in the installation CD, and then click Next to continue.
6.Select the installation path and then click Next, the Select Program Folder screen will
appear as follows:

7.Click Next, the Setup Status window appears as follows:

8.Click Next to finish installation. Then you will find the Goscam icon and its
shortcut link on the desktop and in the “GOSPELL Goscam” folder in the “Program”
menu under the “Start” menu.
Part 5. Goscam Initial System Settings
1.The Initializing Wizard will automatically pop up when Goscam is opened for the first
time only. Initializing Wizard will quickly run through each Property for any setting
changes that is needed. This Wizard goes through the important settings needed to help
run Goscam flawlessly. You can click attribute button as to pop up “attribute”
dialog box. The dialog box is composed with many option card, and any option has its
own specifically function setting group.
Video input:
Equipment
Select the equipment in the drop-down list. Here we choose GP-723 which is
connected to the PC.
Source
Select Composite in the drop-down list.
Standard:

Select the standard of monitor.
Audio input:
Equipment
Select the audio input equipment in the drop-down list. The default equipment is your
soundcard.
Source
Apply the default settings.
Record level
Determine the audio volume level in the recorded file.
2. Click Next to continue. The Storage window pops up as follows.The Storage properties
page, allows you to assign the amount of space and location, for storing recorded
programs and captured still images. The default location is: C:\My Documents\My Videos.
Use the button to browse for the drive and folder path where you want to store recorded
programs and captured still images. Next, use the slider to set the maximum amount of
disk space you want to assign for recorded files. The total amount of recording time is
limited by the drive space available. You can adjust the record quality in order to store
more information on the available space. The top section of the page provides a quick
overview of the drives in your system, and available free space.
5.Click Finish to close the attribute settings window. Then you can see the video received
from GS-723 in the Goscam video window.

Buttons

Exit and Minimize Goscam Control Panel.
Exit - close the application.
Record - Starts recording TV and encoding it into MPEG-2 format.
Play – Begin to play the recorded program.
Stop - Stops current action (e.g. recording, playback, Timeshifting, etc.)
Pause - Suspends current action (e.g. playback, live TV, recording, etc.)
Still Capture - Captures still images of current program.
Zoom and Pan - Lets you zoom in on the screen and then pan around it.
Alarm – Set up alarm state.
Setting –Opens Goscam attribute setting window.

Provides the status of the ongoing process and selected configuration.
Displays the local date.
Displays the video time.
Displays the local time.
Sound
Mute - Mute or restores sound.
Volume Control - Increases or decreases volume intensity.

Previous Chapter - If you are playing recorded program with chapter breaks
you can use this button to go to the previous chapter.

3 Play Interface Menu Explanations

Multi Camera:4-channel-scan display.
Multi Camera Time: set up the intervening time,3
seconds,6 seconds,9 seconds, 12 seconds, or 15
seconds.
Aspect Ratio –open the aspect ratio submenu:
zAt will-any size you like.
z4 x 3-320 x 420 fixels size.
z16 x 9-standard movie size, or broad screen.
Screen size-open “screen size”submenu:
zOrignal Size-320 x 240 fixels size.
zDouble Size-640 x 480 fixels size.
