Battery installation
1 To remove the battery compartment door (located on the cabinet
base) press the snap tab and lift the door off the rear of the cabinet.
2. Insert 4 ”R14” (C CELL)-size batteries (not included) into the battery
compartment. Be sure the (+) or cap end of each battery is installed
as show on the battery diagram.
3. Replace the battery door.
NOTE: If the recorder begins to sound distorted, or the tape reels turn
very slowly or not at all, be sure to try a new set of batteries or another
cassette before seeking service.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to remove the batteries when storing the set for
more than a few weeks at a time. Leaking batteries can badly damage
the recorder. When discarding batteries, be sure to dispose of them in
the proper manner, according to national and regional regulations.
Always press STOP before storing. This will relieve pressure on certain
parts in the recorder that might deform after long periods of time.

AC/DC power converter
Use the provided AC/DC Power Converter to plug into the 6-V DC
PWR JACK on the recorder (which automatically disconnects the
batteries), and the other end into the mains supply.
IMPORTANT: The AC/DC Power Converter included with this unit is
intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or oor mount position.
Headphone (Not included)
Your can plug a set of headphones into the PHONE jack on your set.
With the headphone plugged in, the speaker is automatically silenced
for private listening. Your set is also equipped with EARPHONE
MONITOR capability when recording directly from other sound source
such as other tape recorders or radios. You can listen to what’s being
recorded by plugging in a set of headphones and an adapter.

Using your Cassette/Recorder
To insert or remove cassette
1. Press STOP/EJECT if any of the buttons are depressed.
2. Press STOP/EJECT to open the CASSETTE DOOR.
3. Insert a cassette tape with a full reel at its left and open the edge
facing towards you, then press on the deck door to close. Unload a
cassette tape by following the above steps 1 and 2, take out the tape
and press on the deck door to close.
NOTE: Some special formula tapes (chromium dioxide and metal
particle tapes) cannot be properly for recording with this product. These
tapes can, however, be used for playback.

Tape Play
To listen to your recorded cassette tapes:
1. Insert cassette as explained above.
2. Rewind tape to the starting point if necessary. (See REWIND
operation.)
3. Press PLAY.
4. Adjust VOLUME control.
Built-in microphone recording
1. Insert cassette as previously described. Press RECORD (the PLAY
button is depressed with it). You are now recording. If the RECORD
button does not depress, see “PREVENT ACCIDENTAL ERASURE”.
2. Talk normally into the BUILT-IN CONDENSER MICROPHONE.
To obtain optimum recording quality, place the recorder with the
microphone freely exposed and as close as convenient to the sound
source.
NOTE: The automatic level control (ALC) will set the record level for
optimum recording, regardless of volume setting.
Automatic stop
When your recorder is operating in PLAY or RECORD mode and the
end of the tape is reached, your unit will automatically shut itself off
and return the buttons to the OFF position.

Stand-up microphone recording
To record with stand-up microphone, plug the microphone into the
MICROPHONE jack and follow the built-in microphone recording
instructions. When the stand-up microphone is used, the built-in
microphone is automatically disconnected.
Tape erase
To erase a tape simply record over the unwanted recording.
Rewind
To run the tape back to the beginning of your recording, press
REWIND. Then press STOP after you have rewound to the desired
point on the tape.
Fast Forward(F-fwd)
Press F-FWD to skip over portions of the tape quickly. Press STOP
after you have advanced to the desired point on the tape.
Pause control
Your recorder is equipped with a PAUSE control which will stop PLAY
& RECORD operations. Press PAUSE to stop PLAY or RECORD
operation. Press again to release PAUSE for continued operation.

USB Play and Recording from MIC
1. Insert the USB device to USB port on the top of unit.
2. Set USB/TAPE switch to USB.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to playback music from USB device.
Press PLAY/PAUSE button again to stop playback, at the same time
the red USB/REC indicator will blink once about a second.
4. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/REC button to record from the
built-in mic or stand-up mic: the red USB/REC indicator will keep
blinking rapidly. Press the PLAY/PAUSE/REC button again to stop
recording.
5. Then press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/REC button once again to
play music or the sound recording from USB device. Press PLAY/
PAUSE button again to stop play.
6. Set the USB/TAPE switch to TAPE to stop USB playing mode and
back to TAPE mode.
Recording from Tape to USB
1. Set USB/TAPE switch to TAPE and play the tape, insert the USB
device into the USB port, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/REC
button to record from the tape, the red USB/REC indicator will keep
blinking rapidly. Press the PLAY/PAUSE/REC button again to stop
recording.
2. Set USB/TAPE switch to USB, Press PLAY/PAUSE button to
playback music from USB device. Press PLAY/PAUSE button again
to stop play, at the same time the red USB/REC indicator will blink
approximately once a second.

Batterie wechseln
1 Um die Batteriefachklappe (am Gehäuseboden) zu entfernen,
drücken Sie den Schnappverschluss und heben Sie die Klappe von
der Rückseite des Gehäuses ab.
2. Legen Sie 4 “R14” (C CELL) -Batterien (nicht im Lieferumfang
enthalten) in das Batteriefach ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass das
(+) oder das Kappenende jeder Batterie so installiert wird, wie im
Batterieschema dargestellt.
3. Setzen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel wieder ein.
BITTE BEACHTEN: Wenn das Aufnahmegerät verzerrt klingt oder sich
die Bandspulen sehr langsam oder gar nicht drehen, probieren Sie
unbedingt einen neuen Satz Batterien oder eine andere Kassette aus,
bevor Sie sich an den Kundendienst wenden.
WICHTIG: Entfernen Sie unbedingt die Batterien, wenn Sie das Gerät
länger als ein paar Wochen aufbewahren. Auslaufende Batterien
können das Gerät schwer beschädigen. Achten Sie beim Entsorgen
von Batterien darauf, diese gemäß den nationalen und regionalen
Vorschriften ordnungsgemäß zu entsorgen.

Drücken Sie vor dem Lagern immer STOP. Dadurch wird der Druck auf
bestimmte Teile des Rekorders, die sich nach längerer Zeit verformen
könnten, verringert.
AC/DC Stromrichter
Nutzen Sie den mitgelieferten AC/DC-Stromrichter zum Anschluss an
den 6-V-DC-PWR-JACK des Rekorders (der automatisch die Batterien
trennt) und schließen Sie das andere Ende an das Stromnetz an.
WICHTIG: Der in diesem Gerät enthaltene AC / DC-Stromrichter muss
in vertikaler oder bodenmontierter Position korrekt ausgerichtet sein.
Kopfhörer (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten)
Sie können einen Kopfhörer an die PHONE-Buchse Ihres Geräts
anschließen. Wenn der Kopfhörer angeschlossen ist, wird der
Lautsprecher automatisch zum privaten Hören stumm geschaltet. Ihr
Gerät ist auch mit einer EARPHONE MONITOR-Funktion ausgestattet,
wenn Sie direkt von einer anderen Tonquelle, z.B. einem anderen
Tonbandgerät oder Radio, aufnehmen. Sie können sich anhören, was
aufgenommen wird, indem Sie einen Kopfhörer und einen Adapter
einstecken.

Ihren Kassettenrekorder benutzen
Eine neue Kassette einlegen oder herausnehmen
1. Drücken Sie STOP/EJECT, wenn einer der Knöpfe gedrückt ist.
2. Drücken Sie STOP/EJECT um das Kassettenfach zu öffnen.
3. Legen Sie eine Kassette (mit voller Spule links) ein und öffnen Sie
die Ihnen zugewandte Kante und drücken Sie zum Schließen auf
die Decktür. Entnehmen Sie eine Kassette, indem Sie die obigen
Schritte 1 und 2 ausführen, das Band herausnehmen und zum
Schließen auf die Decktür drücken.
BITTE BEACHTEN: Einige besondere Bänder (Chromdioxid-
und Metallpartikelbänder) können mit diesem Produkt nicht
ordnungsgemäß aufzeichnen. Diese Bänder können jedoch für die
Wiedergabe verwendet werden.

Kassetten abspielen
Um sich Ihre Bandaufnahmen anzuhören:
1. Geben Sie ein Kassettenband wie oben beschrieben ein.
2. Spulen Sie das Band bis zu seinem Anfang zurück, wenn nötig
(Siehe REWIND Funktion).
3. Drücken Sie PLAY.
4. Passen Sie die VOLUME Lautstärke nach Bedarf an.
Eingebaute Mikrofonfunktion
1. Legen Sie die Kassette wie zuvor beschrieben ein. Drücken Sie
RECORD (die PLAY-Taste wird dabei auch gedrückt). Sie nehmen
jetzt auf. Wenn die RECORD-Taste nicht gedrückt wird, lesen Sie
„VERHINDERN VON UNBEABSICHTIGTEM LÖSCHEN“.
2. Sprechen Sie normal in das EINGEBAUTE KONDENSATOR-
MIKROFON. Um eine optimale Aufnahmequalität zu erzielen,
platzieren Sie den Recorder so, dass das Mikrofon frei und so nah
wie möglich an der Tonquelle steht.
BITTE BEACHTEN: Die automatische Lautstärkeregelung (ALC) stellt
den Aufnahmepegel für eine optimale Aufnahme unabhängig von der
Lautstärkeeinstellung ein.
Automatischer Stopp
Wenn das Gerät im PLAY oder RECORD Modus operiert und das
Ende des Kassettenbands erreicht ist, wird sich das Gerät automatisch
ausschalten und alle Knöpfe in die OFF Position stellen.

Aufnahme mit Stand-Mikrofon
Um mit einem Stand-Mikrofon aufzunehmen, stecken Sie das Mikrofon
bitte in den MICROPHONE-Ausgang und folgen Sie den Instruktionen
für eingebaute Mikrofone. Wenn das Stand-Mikrofon genutzt wird, wird
das eingebaute Mikrofon automatisch abgestellt.
Aufnahme löschen
Um eine Bandaufnahme zu löschen, können Sie einfach die
bestehende Aufnahme überspielen.
Zurückspulen/Rewind
Um ein Band wieder an den Anfang einer Aufnahme zurückzuspulen,
drücken Sie REWIND. Dann drücken Sie STOP, nachdem Sie die
gewünschte Stelle erreicht haben.
Vorspulen (F-fwd)
Drücken Sie F-FWD um Teile des Bandes schnell zu überspringen.
Drücken Sie STOP, wenn Sie die gewünschte Stelle erreicht haben.

Pause
Ihr Gerät ist mit einer PAUSE Funktion ausgestattet, welche es Ihnen
erlaubt PLAY & RECORD Funktionen durchzuführen. Drücken Sie
PAUSE um PLAY oder RECORD Vorgänge zu unterbrechen. Drücken
Sie PAUSE erneut um den Vorgang fortzusetzen.
USB Abspielen und Aufnehmen via MIC
1. Stecken Sie das USB-Gerät in den USB-Anschluss oben am Gerät.
2. Stellen Sie den USB/TAPE Knopf auf USB.
3. Drücken Sie die PLAY/PAUSE-Taste, um Musik vom USB-Gerät
abzuspielen. Drücken Sie die PLAY/PAUSE-Taste erneut, um die
Wiedergabe zu stoppen. Gleichzeitig blinkt die rote USB/REC-
Anzeige etwa eine Sekunde lang.
4. Halten Sie die PLAY/PAUSE/REC-Taste gedrückt, um mit dem
eingebauten Mikrofon oder dem Stand-Mikrofon aufzunehmen: Die
rote USB/REC-Anzeige blinkt weiterhin schnell. Drücken Sie die
PLAY/PAUSE/REC-Taste erneut, um die Aufnahme zu beenden.
5. Dann drücken und halten Sie den PLAY/PAUSE/REC Knopf
nochmals, um Musik oder Aufnahmen vom USB-Gerät abzuspielen.
Drücken Sie den PLAY/PAUSE Knopf erneut, um die Wiedergabe
anzuhalten.
6. Stellen Sie den USB/TAPE Knopf auf TAPE, um den USB
Wiedergabemodus zu beenden und den TAPE Modus wieder
anzuschalten.

Aufnahmen von Band auf USB
1. Stellen Sie den USB/TAPE-Schalter auf TAPE und spielen Sie
das Band ab, stecken Sie das USB-Gerät in den USB-Anschluss,
halten Sie die PLAY/PAUSE/REC-Taste gedrückt, um vom Band
aufzunehmen. Die rote USB/REC-Anzeige blinkt weiterhin schnell.
Drücken Sie die PLAY/PAUSE/REC-Taste erneut, um die Aufnahme
zu beenden.
2. Stellen Sie den USB/TAPE-Schalter auf USB. Drücken Sie die PLAY/
PAUSE-Taste, um Musik vom USB-Gerät abzuspielen. Drücken Sie
die PLAY/PAUSE-Taste erneut, um die Wiedergabe zu beenden.
Gleichzeitig blinkt die rote USB/REC-Anzeige ungefähr einmal pro
Sekunde.
