SPECIALNOTES ONLCD MONITORS
The followingsymptomsarenormalwithLCD monitorand donotindicateaproblem.
•Due tothe natureofthe fluorescentlight, the screen mayflickerduring initialuse.Turn
off the PowerSwitchand then turnit on againtomakesurethe flickerdisappears.
•You mayfindslightlyuneven brightness onthescreendependingonthedesktop pattern
you use.
•The LCD screen haseffectivepixelsof99.99%ormore.It mayinclude blemishesof
0.01%orless suchasamissing pixelorapixellit allof the time.
•Due tothe natureofthe LCD screen,an afterimage ofthe previousscreenmayremain
afterswitchingtheimage,when thesameimage isdisplayedforhours.Inthiscase,the
screen isrecovered slowlybychanging theimage orturning offthe PowerSwitchfor
hours.
•If the screen suddenlyflasheserraticallyorthe backlighting fails,pleasecontactyour
dealerorservicecenterforrepair. Donot attempt torepairthe monitoryourself.

INSTALLATION:
1.Align themonitorwiththe opening inthe base.
2.Notethat the longersectionof thebasepointsforward.
3.Snap the monitorintoitsbase. Aclearclick sound willaffirmthat the baseisconnected
correctly.
4.Verifythat themonitorissecurelyattached tothe basebylooking at the bottomof the
baseand making surethat theclipsarefullyengaged inthe base.
REMOVAL:
1.Flipoverthe monitorsothatitisupside down.
2.Press the button onthe armthat holdsthe monitorinplace.
3.Gentlypullthebasefromthe monitoruntilltheyareunattached.
POWER

MAKING CONNECTIONS
CONNECTING TO APC:
Turnoff yourcomputerbeforeperforming the procedurebelow.
1.Connectone end oftheD-Subcabletothe back ofthe monitorand connecttheother
end tothecomputer sD-Sub port.
2.ConnectoneendoftheDVI-Dcable(Dualinputmode optional)tothebackofthe
monitorand connect theotherendtothecomputer sDVI-Dport.
3.Connectthe audiocablebetween the monitor'saudioinputandthePC'saudiooutput
(greenport).
4.Plug one endofthe ACpowercordtothe LCD monitor sACinputsocket, and the other
end toWalloutlet.
5.Turnonyourmonitorandcomputer.

Press thepowerbuttontoturnthemonitoronoroff. The othercontrolbuttonsarelocated
on thefrontpanelofthe monitor(SeeFigure4).Bychangingthesesettings,thepicturecan
be adjusted toyourpersonalpreferences.
•The powercordshouldbe connected.
•Connect theSignalcablefromthe monitortothe VGAcard.
