Use only t e original arness provided. Here a detail of t e connector functions.
Before you start your installation
We recommend t at a fuse or circuit breaker be placed wit in 18" of t e battery.
Alt oug you will add a fuse or fuse block near t e amplifier it is still a possibility t at a
pinc ed power wire between t e component fuse and t e battery could result in a s ort,
or even a fire. T e protection device s ould be placed w ere it can be accessed easily
and all wiring s ould be routed safely and correctly according to t e following guidelines:
• Do not run wiring close to ot or spinning objects.
• Use wire grommets w en routing wire t roug t e firewall or any ot er metal panels
• Make sure t at t e potential for pinc ed wiring is avoided by routing all wires away
from moving objects, including brake, gas and clutc pedals, etc.
Planning your ower connections
T e power end plate as t e main 12-volt power input, t e 12-volt turn-on wire, and t e
main Ground connection.
• T e 12-volt power input must be connected t e ve icle battery's positive (+)
terminal, and a main system fuse s ould be placed close to t e battery.
• T e Ground connection must be securely attac ed to bare metal at t e ve icle
frame, or ot er eavy c assis component wit a direct connection to t e frame.
Note: Seat bolts and seat belt bolts are NOT good ground oints
• T e REM In input can be connected to t e ead unit turn-on output wire.
If none is available it can be connected to an accessory (ACC) terminal. You s ould
avoid using any ignition-on (IGN) wire, as t ey can be noisy.
Mounting your unit
Mounting your unit is easy. Just keep in mind a few guidelines:
• T e unit can be mounted in any direction, on wood, metal, or carpet but not upside
down as eat rises and will build up if it is mounted upside down.
• T e metal c assis of t e amp can be grounded or left isolated.
• T e amplifier requires adequate ventilation. Creating power creates eat, and
cooling requires air. Position t e amplifier wit sufficient surrounding area for air
supply and keep t e end plates clear for future access.
• Keep t e unit out of t e engine compartment or ot er locations t at may cause
excessive eat or moisture.
• Do not mount t e unit to places t at may ave excessive vibration.
