HSUFDC Touchscreen Thermostat
Installation and Operating Instructions

Installation Quick Guide
A sensor conduit and deep back box must be installed to continue this
installation.
Step 1: Release the face plate & black steel plate
Carefully remove the white face plate. Push the steel wire clip up to
release the black steel wall plate. Pull the black steel wall plate away
from the thermostat.
Important safety information - Please read before proceeding
• All electrical and repair work must be carried out by a qualied
electrician in accordance with current UK IEE regulations and any
local codes or regulations.
• Isolate power to the circuit before installation or maintenance.
• Ensure the underoor heating circuit is protected by a suitably rated
RCD.
• HSUFDC is IP32 rated so is suitable for safe installation in bathrooms
outside of special locations such as wet zones.
• Install a conduit before thermostat installation.
• Ensure substrate is secure before inserting a groove for the conduit.
• Do not ignore IP32 regulations.
• Do not install this thermostat in a wet zone.

Step 2: Fix the black steel wall plate to your back box
Align the holes on the steel plate with the ones on the back box in your
wall. Fix in place with the supplied screws, taking care to ensure the
mount is level.
Step 3: Wire up the Thermostat & fix in place
Pull the wires through from the heating system and expose if required.
Loosen the tension screws to allow the wires to be inserted and xed.
Position the cables as shown in the wiring diagram and ensure each
screw is tightened correctly.

Step 4: Slide the Thermostat into the back box
Slide the thermostat into the back box. The metal brackets on the black
steel wall plate slide easily back into position.
Gently push the steel wire clip down locking the thermostat in place,
then clip the face plate into position. Note: To remove the face plate
whilst attached to the wall, gently push a at headed screw driver in the
notch on the underside. You can now switch on your Thermostat.
It is the electrician’s responsibility to ensure any switches and/or
electrical components used are suitable and adequately rated for the
UFH system.

Programming the HSUFDC Thermostat
Set Date & Time
1. Hold for seven seconds. Use and to select minute.
2. Tap the button to switch to hour and use and to select the
correct hour, repeat to select day: (1= Mon 7 = Sun).
Program Schedule
1. Starting from power, off tap button to switch the unit on.
2. Press and hold for seven seconds to edit your schedule.
3. Firstly, set the start time for (period 1) using the up and down
buttons.
4. Tap to save the start time, then set the comfort temperature to
between 20°C and 27 using and .
5. Tap to advance to (period 2) and select the desired time
using and .
6. Tap to save your start time and set the eco temperature
between 18°C and 20°C using and .
7. Repeat steps 5-7 for all 6 periods.
8. Now you have set a schedule for ve days. Tap to set your
weekend heating (days 6-7) in the same manner
9. Simply tap (power) to save program and put the system in
standby.

Lock and unlock screen
Press and hold the and to lock the screen, press and hold again to
unlock.
Floor Sensor Activation
1. Press and hold + for seven seconds.
2. Press to 2SEN
3. Adjusting using and to select ‘OUT’
4. Tap to conrm setting.
Manual Mode
1. You can switch between manual mode and your custom Schedule
by tapping .
2. When in (manual control mode), set a target temperature
manually using and .
3. When the target temperature is set above the detected oor
temperature, you will see the (heating on) symbol below the
target temperature. You may also hear a ‘click’.

Temperature Limit
1. Press to switch the unit off, then press and hold both the and
buttons together for ve seconds. Use and to select “3LIT”.
2. Use and to set the desired temperature limit. Press to save
your settings and exit. Check with your oor nish manufacture for
guidance on maximum temperature.
Temperature Calibration
1. Press to switch the unit off then press and hold both the
and buttons together for ve seconds. Use and to select
“1ADJ”.
2. Use and to adjust the measured temperature. Press to save
your settings and exit.
