information regarding the use and care of your Playmaker LCD.

Instructions for Use
ThePlaymakerLCDshipswithabatteryisolationslipthathelpstoprevent
thebatteriesfrombeingdepletedduringtransit.Pleaseremovethisslipby
pulling straight back on the white tab that indicates to “remove before use”.
Thistabislocatedinthebatterycompartment(see product design diagram).
Tobeginusingtheboardremovethestylusfromtheholder.Usethestylus
tobegindrawingonthescreen.Forbestresultsavoidpressingyourhand
against the screen while drawing. You should only use the included stylus
orsimilarobjectwhendrawingontheboard.Pleaseavoidusinganysharp
objects as they may do permanent damage the to the LCD screen.
Toeraseallinformationpressthe“delete”key.Youwillseeamomentaryash,
thisisnormaloperation.Afterpressingthe“delete”key,theboardwillprocess
aneraseoperationthatwilllastapproximately2seconds.Ifyouwriteonthe
board while this operation is still being processed it will not appear. Please
allow sucient time for the erase operation to complete prior to writing on
the board.
Batteries
PowerforPlaymakerLCDisprovidedbytwoCR2430batteries.Thebatteries
will last approximately one year with regular use. The board does not require
power while drawing, and only uses power while the board is being erased.
Replacementbatteriesareavailableatmostretailerswherebatteriesare
sold.Toreplacethebatteriesremovethebatterycompartmentusingasmall
slottypescrewdriverorsimilartool.Besuretoinsertthebatteriesasperthe
battery orientation diagram. The battery orientation is important and the
devicewillnotfunctionifthebatteriesarenotproperlyinserted.

Thepositivesideofthebatteryshouldmakecontactwiththepositive
markingsideonthebatterycompartment.Thenegativesideofthebattery
shouldmakecontactwiththenegativemarkingsideonthebattery
compartment.
Suction Cups (Hockey Edition Only)
The included suction cups may be used to mount Playmaker LCD on the
glassinahockeyarenaforeasyviewing.Tousethesuctioncupspulloutthe
retractableclips(see product design diagram).Insertthesuctioncupintothe
large opening of the retractable clip, and then slide it upwards until it ts
snuglyinthesmallopening.Besuretosupporttheclipwithyourhandwhile
appplyingpressuretoavoiddamagingtheclips.
To attach the board to the glass, place your thumbs rmly on the back of the
suctioncupswhileholdingtheboardwithyourngers.Applyevenpressure
to the back of the suction cups as you are pressing it to the glass in order to
ensureasecuregrip.Whilesupportingtheboard,giveitaslighttugtoensure
the suction cups are secure prior to letting go of the board.

Use and Care
PlaymakerLCDusesaLiquidCrystalDisplay,sopleasehandlewithcare.Itis
likelytosurvivemostminordropsandfalls,butbettertonottestthatoutjust
in case. Please also ensure it is not placed in an area where pucks or balls are
likely to come into direct contact with the display, as this may do permanent
damage.
DO NOT store Playmaker LCD in an area where it will be exposed to extreme
temperaturesforalongperiodoftime.(i.e- overnight in a car during a very cold
night, or in the afternoon in the hot summer sun).Whenusinginahockeyarena,
donotlaytheboardatontheiceorstoretheboardinarefridgeratedarea.
Playmaker LCD will maintain proper operation for a minimum of two hours
intemperaturesaslowas-20degrees,butshouldnotbestoredinextremely
coldtemperatures.IfPlaymakerLCDexhibitserracticperformancewhen
exposedtoextremelycoldtemperaturespleasediscontinueuseandmove
theboardtoaroomtemperatureenviroment.
DONOTexposePlaymakerLCDtoexcessmoisture.Ifitbeginstorainwhile
using Playmaker LCD it should be put away in a dry location.

Warranty
Your Playmaker LCD product is warranted against defects in material and
workmanshipfor1yearfromthedateofpurchasewhenpurchasedfrom
anauthorizedreseller.Thisdoesnotcoverdamagefromimproperor
unreasonable use, excess moisture, or unauthorized tampering, alteration or
modication. To obtain support or warranty information regarding Playmaker

Utilisation et entretien
Le Playmaker LCD utilise un achage à cristaux liquides, donc veuillez le
manipuler avec précaution. Il survivra probablement à la plupart des chutes
mineures, mais il vaut mieux ne pas le tester. Veillez également à ce qu’il
ne soit pas placé dans un endroit où des rondelles ou des balles risquent
d’entrer en contact direct avec l’écran, car cela pourrait l’endommager de
façon permanente.
NE PAS ranger le Playmaker LCD dans un endroit où il sera exposé à des
températures extrêmes pendant une longue période de temps. (C.-à-d. -
nuit dans une voiture pendant une nuit très froide, ou l’après-midi sous le
soleil chaud de l’été). Lorsque vous l’utilisez dans un aréna de hockey, ne
posez pas la planche à plat sur la glace et ne la rangez pas dans un endroit
