Install or locate this appliance only in accordance with the installation
instructions provided.
Some products, such as whole eggs, sealed containers, or closed glass jars,
should not be heated in this oven. They will explode.
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not
use corrosive chemicals or vapors in this appliance. This type of oven is
specifically designed to heat, cook, or dry food. It is not designed for industrial
or laboratory use.
Children must be supervised closely when using this appliance.
To reduce the risk of fire in the oven:
-Do not overcook food. Watch the cooking closely when paper, plastic, or
other combustible materials are placed inside the oven.
-Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing them in
the oven.
-If materials inside the oven ignite, keep the oven door closed, turn the oven
off, and disconnect the power cord or shut off power at the fuse or circuit
breaker panel.
-Do not use the oven for storage purposes. Do not leave paper products,
cooking utensils, or food in the oven when not in use.
Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea, can be overheated beyond the boiling
point without appearing to be boiling due to surface tension of the liquid. If this
happens, when the container is removed from the oven, the liquid may actually
be boiling without showing any visible bubbling. THIS CANRESULT IN VERY
HOT LIQUIDS SUDDENLY BOILING WHEN A SPOON OR OTHER UTENSIL IS
INSERTED INTO THE LIQUID. To reduce the risk of injury:
-Do not overheat liquids.
-Stir the liquid both before and halfway through heating it.
-Do not heat liquids in straight-sided containers with narrow necks.
-After heating, allow the container to stand in the microwave oven for a short
time before removing it.
-Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other utensil into a container of
heated liquid.
Do not heat oil or fat for deep-frying. It is difficult to control the temperature of
oil in microwave oven.

Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
Do not store or use this appliance in outdoor places. Do not use this product at
places where it can get wet, such as near a kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near
a swimming pool, or in similar locations.
Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or a plug, if it is not
working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.
Do not immerse the cord or plug into water. Keep the cord away from heated
surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter.
Use only thermometers that are specifically designed for use in microwave
ovens.
Do not operate any heating or cooking appliance beneath this appliance.
Make sure the glass turntable and roller rings are in place when you operate the
oven.
This appliance should be serviced only by qualified personnel. Please call the
Hisense Customer Care number for any service issues.
When cleaning the door seals, use only mild, nonabrasive soaps or detergents
applied with a sponge or soft cloth.
VENTILATING HOODS
-Clean ventilating hoods frequently. Grease should not be allowed to
accumulate on the hood or filter.
-When cooking foods below the oven, turn the fan on.
This appliance is suitable for installation above either gas or electric ranges.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Part 18 of the FCC
Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may
not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation. CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the
party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the
product.
This equipment generates radio frequency energy and if not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, try to correct the interference
using one or more of the following measures:
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-Plug the equipment into a different outlet or circuit than the receiver.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
(a) Do not attempt to operate the oven with the door open, since this can result
in harmful exposure to microwave energy. Do not damage or tamper with the
safety interlocks.
(b) Do not place any object between the oven opening and the door or allow dirt
or cleaning residue to accumulate on the seals.
(c) Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the
oven door close properly and that there is no damage to the following:
①Door: The door must not be bent.
②Hinges and latches: These must not be broken or loose.
③Door seals and sealing surfaces.
(d) The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except qualified
service personnel.
Unpacking and Examining Your Oven
Carefully remove the oven from the carton. SAVE THE CARTON, AS IT MAY MAKE
INSTALLATION EASIER.
Remove all packing materials inside the oven cavity. DO NOT REMOVE THE
WAVEGUIDE COVER, which is located on the side in the oven cavity. Check for
Installation Instructions, Wall Template, Top Cabinet Template, bag of Installation
Hardware, Charcoal Filter, and Exhaust Damper Assembly. Read enclosures and
SAVE the Owner’s Instructions.
Remove the sticker on the outside of the door, if any.
Check the oven for any damage, such as a misaligned or bent door, damaged door
seals and sealing surfaces, broken or loose door hinges and latches, and dents
inside the cavity or on the door. If there is any damage, do not operate the oven
and contact your dealer.
See Installation Instruction for more details.
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit,
grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape route for the
current. The cord has a grounding wire attached to a grounding plug. It must be
plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
WARNING! Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electrical shock.
Consult a qualified technician, if you don’t understand the grounding instructions or
if there is any doubt that the appliance is properly grounded. If it is necessary to

use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord with both a
3-pronggrounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the appliance plug.
The marked rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the
electrical rating of the appliance.
Electrical Requirements
The oven requires the following electrical service: 120 volt 60 Hz, AC only, 20 amp.
It is recommended that you use a separate circuit, which only serves the oven. The
oven is equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug. It must be plugged into a wall
receptacle that is properly installed and grounded.
Power Supply Cord
1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. Longer cord sets or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
3. If along cord or extension cord is used：
a) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
b) The extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and the longer
cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter or table
top where it could be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
NOTES:
1.
If you have any questions about the grounding or electrical instructions,
consult a qualified electrician or service person.
2. Neither Hisense nor the dealer can accept any liability for damage to the oven
or personal injury resulting from failure to observe the electrical connection
procedures.
Radio or TV Interference
Should there be any interference caused by the microwave oven to your radio or
TV, check that the microwave oven is on a different circuit, relocate the radio or TV
as far away from the oven as feasible, or check position and signal of receiving
antenna.
ABOUT YOUR OVEN
NEVER use the oven without the turntable and support, and never turn the
turntable over for putting a large dish in the oven. The turntable will turn both
clockwise and counterclockwise.
The shelf gives you the option to reheat more than one dish at the same time. To
reheat on 2 levels:

Switch places halfway through the cooking time.
Make sure the shelf is positioned properly inside the microwave to prevent
damage to the oven from arcing.
Do not use a microwave browning dish on the shelf. The shelf could overheat.
Do not use the oven with the shelf on the microwave floor. This could damage
the microwave.
Use potholders when handling the shelf. It may be hot.
Do not use the shelf when cooking popcorn.
ALWAYS have food in the oven when it is on.
When using the oven at power levels below 100%, you may hear the magnetron
cycling on and off.
Condensation is normal during cooking. Room humidity and the moisture in food
will affect the amount of moisture that condenses in the oven. Generally, covered
foods will not cause as much condensation as uncovered ones. Do not block the
ventilation openings.
When using recipes or package directions, check the food one or two minutes
before the minimum time to avoid overcooking. If it is not done, add time
accordingly.
ABOUT MICROWAVE COOKING
Arrange food carefully. Place thickest areas towards outside of dish.

Watch cooking time. Cook for the shortest amount of time indicated and
add more as needed. Food that is severely overcooked can smoke or ignite.
Cover foods while cooking. Check a recipe or cookbook for suggestions,
such as paper towels, wax paper, microwave plastic wrap, or a lid. Covers
prevent spattering and help foods cook evenly.
Use small flat pieces of aluminum foil to shield any thin areas of meat or
poultry and prevent overcooking before dense, thick areas are cooked
thoroughly.
Stir foods from outside to center of dish once or twice during cooking, if
possible.
Turn foods over once during microwaving to speed cooking of such foods
as chicken and hamburgers. Large items, like roasts, must be turned over at
least once.
Rearrange foods such as meatballs halfway through cooking, moving them
both from top to bottom and from the center of the dish to the outside.
Add standing time. Remove food from the oven and stir, if possible.
Covered standing time allows the food to finish cooking and avoids
overcooking.
Check for doneness. Look for signs indicating that cooking temperatures

have been reached.
Signs of doneness include:
-Food steams throughout, not just at the edge.
-The bottom center of the dish is very hot to the touch.
-In poultry, the thigh joint moves easily.
-Meat and poultry are no longer pink.
-Fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

ABOUT SENSOR COOKING
Proper containers and covers are essential for best sensor cooking results.
Always use microwave-safe containers and cover them with lids or vented
plastic wrap. Never use plastic containers with tight seals— they can
prevent steam from escaping and cause the food to overcook.
Be sure the outside of the cooking containers and the inside of the
microwave oven are dry before placing food in the oven. Beads of moisture
turning into steam can mislead the sensor.
Do not use this feature twice in succession on the same food portion — it
may result in severely overcooked or burnt food.

ABOUT SAFETY
Check foods to see that they are cooked to the following recommended
temperatures.
TEMP FOOD
160℉F
resh pork, ground meat, boneless white poultry, fish, seafood, egg
dishes, and frozen prepared food.
165℉Leftovers, ready-to-reheat refrigerated, deli, and carry-out “fresh”
food.
170℉Poultry, white meat.
180℉Poultry, dark meat.
To test for doneness, insert a meat thermometer in a thick or dense area,
away from fat or bone. NEVER leave the thermometer in the food during
cooking, unless it is approved for microwave oven use.
ALWAYS use potholders to prevent burns when handling dishes and utensils
that are in contact with hot food. Heat from the food can transfer through
them and cause burns.
Avoid steam burns by directing steam away from the face and hands.
Slowly lift the farthest edge of a dish’s covering to allow steam to escape.
Carefully open popcorn and oven cooking bags away from the face.
Stay near the oven while it’s in use and check cooking progress frequently
so that there is no chance of overcooking food.
NEVER use the oven cavity for storing cookbooks or other items.
Select, store and handle food carefully to preserve quality and minimize the
spread of food-borne bacteria.
Keep the waveguide cover clean. Food residue can cause arcing and/or
fires.
Use care when removing items from the oven so that dishes, utensils,
clothes, or accessories do not touch the safety door latches.
ABOUT UTENSILS AND COVERINGS
It is not necessary to buy all new cookware. Many pieces already in your kitchen can
be used successfully in your new microwave oven. Make sure the utensil does not
touch the interior walls during cooking.

Should you wish to check if a dish is safe for microwaving, place the empty dish in
the oven and microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds. If the dish becomes very hot, it
should not be used.
The following coverings are ideal:
Paper towels are good for covering food for reheating or absorbing fat while
cooking bacon.
Wax paper can be used for cooking and reheating.
Plastic wrap that is specially marked for microwave use can be used for cooking
and reheating. DO NOT allow plastic wrap to touch food. Vent or slit the cover
so steam can escape.
Lids that are microwave-safe are a good choice because heat is kept near the
food. This reduces cooking time.
Oven cooking bags are good for large cuts of meat or foods that need
tenderizing. DO NOT use metal twist ties. Remember to slit the bag so steam
can escape.
How to use aluminum foil in your microwave oven:
Small flat pieces of aluminum foil placed smoothly on the food can be used to
shield areas that are either defrosting or cooking too quickly.
Foil should not be placed closer than one inch from any surface of the oven.
ACCESSORIES There are many microwave accessories available for purchase.
For example, a microwave-safe thermometer will help you determine correct
doneness and assure you that foods have been cooked to safe temperatures.
Hisense is not responsible for any damage to the oven caused by accessories.
ABOUT CHILDREN AND THE MICROWAVE
Children below the age of 7 should only use the microwave oven with a
supervising adult very nearby. Between the ages of 7 and 12, the supervising
adult should be in the same room.
The child must be able to reach the oven comfortably. If not, he or she should
stand on a sturdy stool.
At no time should anyone be allowed to lean or swing on the oven door.
Children should be taught all safety precautions, such as using potholders,
removing coverings safely, and paying special attention to packages that crisp

food because they may be extra hot.
Don’t assume that because a child has mastered one cooking skill, he or she can
cook everything.
Children need to learn that the microwave oven is not a toy.

Your microwave oven control panel allows you to select the desired cooking
function quickly and easily. All you have to do is touch the necessary Command pad.
Following is a list of all the Command and Number pads located on the control
panel. For more information on these features, see the operation section.
1. Display. The display includes a clock and indicators to tell you time of day,
cooking time settings, and cooking functions selected.
2. Sensor Cook Menu. Use to set sensor cooking program (for items such as pizza,

potato, meat, reheat, popcorn, beverage, or veggies).
3. Auto Cook Menu. Use for instant settings for popular daily use items (such as
cheese, ice cream, or butter).
4. 1 LB Defrost. Use to defrost frozen food quickly.
5. Time Defrost. Use to defrost food based on time.
6. Weight Defrost. Use to defrost food based on weight.
7. Number. Press number pad to enter cooking time, power level or food weight.
8. Timer. Press to set timer function.
9. Clock. Press to set the clock time.
10. Time Cook. Press to set cooking time.
11. Power Level. Press to set the cooking power level.
12. Vent 2 Speed. Press to change the vent speed.
13. Eco Mode. Press to set power-saving mode.
14. Stop/Cancel. Press to stop the oven or press and hold for 3 seconds to set the
child lock.
15. Start/Add 30 Sec. Press to start the oven. This is also used to start the oven
quickly at full power or to add cooking time.
16. Kids Meals. Select type of dish to reheat, such as chicken nuggets, hot dogs,
fresh fries, frozen sandwiches.

CAUTION

To avoid risk of personal injury or property damage, do not use
stoneware, aluminum foil, metal dishes, or metal-edged dishes
in the
microwave oven.
Setting The Clock
1. In standby mode, press the Clock pad. Note: The clock can display 12 or
24-hour time. In standby mode, pressing the Clock switches between the 12- or
24-hour clock setting.
2. On the number pad, enter the time. For example, to set the clock to 8:08 AM,
press 8, 0, 8.The display will show”08:08.”
3. Press Start/Add 30Sec to confirm.
Setting Microwave Cooking Program
For microwave cooking, cooking power level and time should be set. The longest

When the oven is first plugged in, the display will flash, showing “12:00” and

When a cooking setting is interrupted for one minute, the system will return
to standby mode automatically.
During cooking, if you press Stop/Cancel
once or open the door, the

30Sec. If you press Stop/Cancel twice, the program will be canceled.
After cooking is completed, “END” will display and the oven will beep every
two minutes until you press Stop/Cancel or open the door.
WHEN ENTERING THE OVEN SETTINGS:
ONE BEEP indicates that the entry has been received.
TWO BEEPS
indicates that the entry is not valid. Please check and try again
.
NOTE:
During cooking or while paused, you can press Clock to check the clock
time.
“00:00” will display and two beeps will sound if you enter
an incorrect
time when setting the clock.

Your oven can be used as a range hood. When it is turned on, the fan motor starts,
filtering out smoke, odors, and grease generated from cooking.
In standby mode, press Vent/2 Speed to select the vent speed.

NOTE: During cooking, you can press Power level to check the power level,
and you can adjust the power level by pressing a number pad while the

Multi-Stage Cooking
For best results, some recipes call for different cooking power during different
stages of the cooking cycle. Your oven can be programmed for up to two
automatic cooking stages.
How to enter:
1. In standby mode, input the first microwave cooking setting. Do not press
Start/Add 30Sec.
2. Press Time Cook once, and then input the second microwave cooking setting.
3. Press Start/Add 30Sec to start.
Auto Cook Menus
To soften foods such as butter, cheese, and ice cream, it is not necessary to
program the time and the cooking power level. It is sufficient to indicate the type of
food that you want to cook.
Butter, Cheese or Soften
1. In standby mode, press the pad (Butter, Cheese or Soften) once.
2. Use number pad“1”, “2”to select the amount (according to the amount in the
table below).
3. Press Start/Add 30Sec to confirm.

NOTE: The fan will automatically turn on at low speed when cooking is
started, and the “Vent. L” icon will be displayed. If the fan is manually set to
high speed, and you start the microwave, the fan motor will operate at high
speed for up to 8 minutes. After that, it will switch to low speed for the
remainder of the cooking time.
NOTE: The following settings cannot be used for multi-stage cooking: Sensor,
Auto, Defrost and Kids Meals.

Sensor Cook
The sensor feature detects the increasing humidity released during cooking. The
oven automatically adjusts the cooking time for various types and amounts of food.
If the oven door is open when you select the sensor menu, two beeps will sound
to signal error operation, and the oven will return to standby mode.
In sensor cooking, the system will calculate the correct cooking time based on
the steam generated by the food. Cooking time will be displayed after a short
period, when the sensor system has measured enough steam to calculate it.
During sensor cooking, if there is an error, the display will show “E-5.” The oven
will stop cooking and will beep until you press Stop/Cancel.
POPCORN
The popcorn setting lets you pop commercially-packaged microwave popcorn.
For example, if you want to cook a 3.5 oz bag of microwave popcorn:
1. Place the bag into the oven and close the door.

Weight Defrost
The oven allows you to defrost food based on the weight entered by user. The
defrosting time and power level are automatically set once the food category and
the weight are programmed. The frozen food weight range is up to 96 oz.
To defrost ground meat:
1. In standby mode, press Weight Defrost once.
2. Use the number pad to enter the weight in ounces.
3. Press Start/Add 30Sec to confirm.
Time Defrost
If the food weight exceeds the maximum weight recommended, use time defrost.
For example, if you want to defrost ground meat for 12 minutes and 34 seconds:
1. In standby mode, press Time Defrost once.
2. Enter defrosting time by using the number pad and pressing 1, 2, 3, 4.
3. Press Start/Add 30Secto confirm.
1Lb Defrost
This feature allows you to defrost food quickly.
In standby, press 1Lb Defrost once. The oven starts defrosting automatically.
NOTE:
While defrosting, the oven will pause and beep to remind you to turn the
food over. Once you have adjusted the positioning, press Start/Add
30Sec to resume.
Use small smooth strips of aluminum foil to cover edges or thinner sections
of the food.
