During playback of normallyrecorded video andaudio, noisemay alsobepresent in pictureand
sound.

Do not expose the DVD video camera/recorder to soot or steam:
•Thick soot or steam coulddamagetheDVD video camera/recorder caseor causemalfunctions.
Do not use the DVD video camera/recorder near corrosive gas:
•If theDVD video camera/recorder is used in aplacewherethereis denseexhaust gas generated
bypetrol or diesel engine, corrosivegas such as hydrogen sulfide, or sulfur such as in ahot spring
area, theexternal or internal terminals couldcorrode, which woulddisablenormal operation, or
thebatteryconnecting terminals couldcorrode, sopower will not turn on.
Do not use the DVD video camera/recorder near ultrasonichumidifier:
•With somewater in humidifier, calcium andother chemicals dissolved in water couldscatter in the
air, andwhiteparticles couldadheretotheoptical head of theDVD video camera/recorder, which
couldcauseit tooperateabnormally.
Do not expose the DVD video camera/recorder to insecticide:
•Insecticide entering theDVD video camera/recorder coulddirtythelens in laser pickup block,
andin such acasetheDVD video camera/recorder might not operatenormally. Turn theDVD
video camera/recorder off andcover it with vinyl sheet, etc. beforeusing insecticide.
Do not use a generally available 8cm CD lens cleaner:
•Cleaning thelens is not necessarywhen using this DVD video camera/recorder in theusual way.
•Using 8 cm CD lens cleaner couldcausethis DVD video camera/recorder tobefaulty.
•If you havetoclean thelens, useaHitachi Maxell cleaner that is exclusivelyfor 8 cm DVD discs.
Be careful of moisture condensation:
•When you movetheDVD video camera/recorder between places wherethedifferencein
temperatures is great – such as entering alodgefrom aski slopeor going out of acooled room or
vehicle– condensation (vapour in air warmed or cooled towater droplets) couldoccur on thelens
and/or inside theDVD video camera/recorder. If condensation occurs, do not open thecover of
disc or cardinsertion block if possible. If condensation occurs on thelens, wipeit off with asoft,
drycloth. Even if theexternal surfaceof DVD video camera/recorder has dried, condensation may
remain inside: Turn theDVD video camera/recorder off andleaveit in adryplacefor at least 1 – 2
hours beforeusing it again.
Do not use the DVD video camera/recorder for a long uninterrupted period of time:
•This DVD video camera/recorder cannot beused for along timecontinuouslyas asurveillance
camera/monitor. If you useit for along continuous period of time, thetemperatureof DVD video
camera/recorder couldexceed thelimit andtherecording/playback operation may slow down or
other faults couldoccur. If this happens, turn it off andwait for awhilebeforeusing it again.
