Connect Peripheral Equipment
There is a wide ran e of audio and video equipment that can
be connected to your TV.
The followin connection dia rams show you where the dif-
ferent equipment should be connected at the back side of the
TV.
Via the Scart Socket
Your TV set has a Scart socket. If you want to connect periph-
erals (e. . video, decoder, etc.) which have Scart sockets, to
your TV, use EXT. input.
If an external device is connected via Scart sockets TV is
switched to AV mode automatically. If the si nal is RGB then the
RGB OSD indicator is displayed on the screen.
RGB mode
If your equipment can output RGB si nals, connect it to the
AV-1 Scart socket (EXT.).
 Select the RGB mode to watch ima es from that equipment.
Via Aerial Input
If the equipment you want to connect to your TV e. . video re-
corder or satellite receiver does not have a SCART socket, you
should connect it to the aerial (ANT) socket on your TV.
Decoder
Cable TV offers you a wide choice of pro rams. Most of them
are free, others are to be paid for by the viewer. This means
that you will need to subscribe to the broadcastin or aniza-
tion whose pro rammes you wish to receive. This or aniza-
tion will supply you with a correspondin decoder unit to allow
the pro rammes to be unscrambled.
For further information ask your dealer. See also the booklet
supplied with your decoder.
Connectin a decoder with an aerial socket to the TV
 Connect the aerial cable.
Connectin a decoder without an aerial socket to the
TV
 Connect the decoder to your TV with a SCART lead to
SCART. When your decoder has a SCART connector you can
obtain better picture quality if you connect a SCART lead to EX-
TERNAL.
 Then select the appropriate AV mode by pressin the 

button.
TV and Video Recorder
 If your video recorder has a SCART socket please connect it
to the TV usin a SCART lead. Your TV should also be con-
nected to your video recorder usin the aerial RF output
socket.
Please note usin a SCART lead will produce better qualitiy
pictures.
Search for and store the test signal of the
video recorder
 Unplu the aerial cable from the aerial socket ANT of your
video recorder.
 Switch on your TV and put the video recorder on the test si -
nal. (See the handbook for your video recorder.)
 Enter the Tunin menu via the Install menu.
 Search for the test si nal of your video recorder in the same
way as you searched for and stored the TV si nals. See
Tunin , Search and Store TV channels. Store the test si nal
under pro ramme number 0.
 Replace the aerial cable in the aerial socket ANT of your
video recorder once you have stored the test si nal.
Connect the decoder to the video recorder
Some video recorders have a special SCART connector for de-
coder.
 Connect a SCART lead to the SCART connector of your de-
coder and to the special SCART connector of your video re-
corder. See also the handbook of your video recorder.
 To connect your video recorder to the TV, see TV and Video
Recorder section.
If you want to connect more equipment to your TV, consult your
dealer.
Connecting Headphones
Use the headphone socket of your TV, to connect headphones.

Preparation
Place the TV on a solid surface.
If placin the TV into a cabinet or alcove, ensure there is at least
a 100mm (10cm) ap to the sides and rear and top of the TV.
This is to allow for adequate ventilation durin operation.
Please read below for more safety information before instal-
lation.
Use this apparatus in tropical and/or moderate climates

 It is a remote controlled colour television.
 100 pro rammes from VHF, UHF bands or cable channels
can be preset.
 It can tune cable channels.
 Controllin the TV is very easy by its menu driven system.
 It has SCART connector for external devices (video recorder,
audio equipment, video ames, etc.).
 Back AV Out is available.
 It is possible to connect headphone.
 Teletext
 All pro rammes can be named.
 Pro ramme swappin between last watched two pro-
rammes.
 Forward or backward automatic tunin .
 Sleep timer.
 Child Lock.
 Automatic sound mute when no transmission.
 When no valid si nal is detected, after 5 minutes the TV
switches itself automatically to stand-by mode.
 WSS (Wide Screen Si nalin ).
Safety Precautions

OPERATING YOUR TV
Dos and Donts
DOs
This Television has been desi ned and manufactured to meet
international safety standards, but like any electrical equip-
ment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results
and safety is to be assured.
DO read the operatin instructions before you attempt to use
the equipment.
DO consult your dealer if you are in any doubt about installa-
tion, operation or safety of your equipment.
DO be careful with lass panels or doors on equipment.
This TV is supplied with a fitted mains plu . This plu must
not be cut off as it may contain a special radio interference filter,
the removal of which could lead to impaired performance. If
you wish to extend the lead, obtain an appropriate safety ap-
proved extension lead or consult your dealer.
Observe the manufacturers instructions when connectin ex-
tension leads to the TV. Check the fuse ratin on the new plu ,
this should be fitted with a 5 Amp fuse which conforms to ei-
ther ASTA or BSI (BS1 362) approvals, these are easily iden-
tifiable by either the or symbols. If you are in any doubt
about the installation of an extension lead, please consult a
competent electrician.
DONTs
DONT continue to operate the equipment if you are in any
doubt about it workin normally, or if it is dama ed in any way
switch off, withdraw the mains plu and consult your dealer.
DONT place water filled vessels on top of T.V. cabinets.
DONT remove any fixed cover as this may expose dan erous
volta es.
DONT leave equipment switched on when it is unattended un-
less it is specifically stated that it is desi ned for unattended
operation or has a stand-by mode. Switch off usin the switch
on the equipment and make sure your family know how to do
this. Special arran ements may need to be made for infirm or
handicapped people.
DONT use equipment such as personal stereos or radios so
that you are distracted from the requirements of traffic safety.
It is ille al to watch television whilst drivin .
DONT obstruct the ventilation of the equipment, for example
with curtains or soft furnishin s. Overheatin will cause dam-
a e and shorten the life of the equipment.
DONT use makeshift stands and NEVER fix le s or stands to
the TV with any screws other than those provided - to ensure
complete safety always use the manufacturers approved
stand with the fixin s provided.
DONT allow electrical equipment to be exposed to rain or
moisture.

 NEVER let anyone, especially children push anything into
holes, slots or any other opening in the case - this could
result in a fatal electric shock

1. Power Cord
The power supply cable should be placed so that it is not likely
to be walked on or pinched by items placed on or a ainst it.
Pay particular attention to the cable
Where it enters the plu , power outlet, and the point where it
emer es from the receiver.
2. Moisture nd W ter
Do not use this equipment in a humid and damp place (avoid
the bathroom, the sink in the kitchen, and near the washin
machine). Do not expose this equipment to rain or water, as
this may be dan erous and do not place objects filled with liq-
uids on top. Avoid from drippin or splashin .
3. Cle ning
Before cleanin , unplu the receiver from the main supply out-
let. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Clean with a soft dry
cloth.
4. Lightning
To prevent dama e durin a storm, li htnin or when oin on
holiday, disconnect the power lead and aerial from the wall
outlet and disconnect the aerial plu from the back of the tele-
vision.
5. Ventil tion
The slots and openin s on the receiver are intended for ven-
tilation and to ensure reliable operation. To prevent overheat-
in , these openin s must not be blocked or covered in anyway.
6. Repl cement P rt
When replacement parts are required, be sure the service
technician has used replacement parts which are specified
by the manufacturer or have the same specifications as the
ori inal one. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, elec-
trical shock, or other hazards.
7. Servicing
Please refer all servicin to qualified personnel. Do not remove
the back cover as this may result in an electric shock.
8. X-r ys
This television has sheildin for protection a ainst the emis-
sion of X-rays.
9. Fl me sources
Do not place naked flame sources on the apparatus.
Warning!
Any intervention contrary to regulations, in particular, any
modification of high voltage or a replacement of the picture
tube may lead to an increased concentration of x-rays. Any
television modified in this way no longer complies with license
and must not be operated.
Instructions for waste disposal:
 Packaging and packaging aids are recyclable and should
principally be recycled. Packaging materials, such as foil
bag, must be kept away from children.
 Batteries, including those which are heavy metal-free, should
not be disposed of with household waste. Please dispose of
used batteries in an environmentally sound manner. ind out

Before Switching on your TV
Power connection
IMPORTANT: The TV set is desi ned to operate on 220-240V
AC, 50 Hz.
 After unpackin , allow the TV set to reach the ambient room
temperature before you connect the set to the mains.
Connections to the Aerial input socket
 Connect the aerial or cable TV plu into the Aerial input socket
on the back of the TV.If you are also connectin a video re-
corder /satellite receiver, plu the aerial into this equipment
first and then connect the Aerial output socket from this de-
vice to the Aerial input on the back of the TV.

How to connect other devices
IMPORTANT: Switch off the TV before connectin any external
device.
Sockets for external connections are at the back of the TV. For
connection of other devices via Euroconnector refer to the
manuals of the related devices.
Inserting batteries in the remote control
handset
 Place the batteries in the ri ht directions as seen below.
 Remove the battery cover located on the back of the handset
by ently pullin upwards from the indicated part.
 Insert two AAA (R03) or equivalent type batteries inside.
 Replace the battery cover.
NOTE: Remove batteries from remote control handset when
it is not to be used for a long period.Otherwise it can be dam-
aged due to any leakage of batteries.
Switching the TV ON/O
To switch the TV on
Your TV will switch on in two steps:
1- Press the power button located on the front of the TV. Then
the TV switches itself to standby mode and the RED LED
located below the TV turns on.
2- To switch on the TV from stand-by mode either:
Press a di it button on the remote control so that a pro ramme
number is selected,
or,
Press Pro ramme Up or Down buttons on the front of the TV
or on the remote control, so that last switched off pro ramme
is selected.
In either case the TV will switch on and the RED LED will turn
to GREEN.
To switch the TV off
 Press the stand-by button on the remote control, so the TV will
switch to stand-by mode and the GREEN LED will become
RED,
or,
Press the power button located on the front of the TV, so the TV
will switch off and the GREEN LED will turn off.
Operating the TV
You can operate your TV both using the remote control
handset and onset buttons
Operating with the buttons on the TV set
Volume settin and pro ramme selection can be made usin
the buttons on the front panel.
Volume Settin
 Press -  button to decrease volume or  + button
to increase volume, so a volume level scale (slider) will be
displayed at the middle of the bottom on the screen.
 By pressin both the -  and  + buttons at the same
time you can enter Main menu.
Pro ramme Selectin
 Press P/CH + button to select the next pro ramme or
- P/CH button to select the previous pro ramme.
Operating with Remote Control
The remote control handset of your TV is desi ned to control
all the functions of the model you selected. The functions will
be described in accordance with the menu system of your TV.
Functions of the menu system are described in Menu System
section.
Volume Settin
Press V+ button to increase volume. Press -V button to
decrease volume. A volume level scale (slider) will be dis-
played at the middle of the bottom on the screen.

Pro ramme Selectin (Previous or next pro ramme)
 Press P- button to select the previous pro ramme.
 Press P+ button to select the next pro ramme.
Pro ramme Selectin (direct access):
Press di it buttons on the remote control handset to select
pro rammes between 0 and 9. TV will switch to the selected
pro ramme. To select pro rammes between 10 - 99, you must
use the double di it button - -.
this OSD is displayed at the left hand upper on the
screen.
After then, press the di it buttons consecutively which
pro ramme you want to select (e . for pro ramme 27, first
press 2 and then 7). When it is late to press any di it button this
function will be i nored and the display will be erased. In the
same way it must not be late to press any di it button after
enterin the first di it. The limit of the delay time is 3 seconds.
Press directly the pro ramme number to reselect sin le di it
pro rammes.
Menu System
Your TV has been desi ned with a menu system, to provide an
easy manipulation of a multi-function system. The TV is con-
trolled by choosin the commands, which are displayed on
the screen.
Press the   button. The Main menu will be displayed at the
middle on the screen.
All the selected items in this menu system is indicated with
CYAN characters and with an arrow on the leftside of items.
To select a sub-menu use   or   button, and press  
or   button. Each option can also be selected with the
coloured button on the remote control.
MAIN MENU
The menu system is described below.
The short way in order to enter the menus, press :
 Button, Main Menu.
Red Button, Sound Menu.
Green Button, Picture Menu.
Yellow Button, Feature Menu.
Blue Button, Install Menu.
Menu button has two functions; first is openin or closin the
MAIN MENU, and the second is closin the sub-menu and
then openin its parent menu.
Sound Menu
To chan e sound settin s
 Enter the Sound Menu directly, pressin the Red button or,
 As you enter the main menu, sound will be the first selected
option. In the main menu, select SOUND usin   or  
button, then enter the sound menu pressin   or  
button.
Settin Volume:
As you enter the sound menu, Volume will be the first selected
option.
 Press   button to increase volume.
 Press   button to decrease volume.
Or you can directly chan e the volume settin s usin V+ (to
increase) or -V (to decrease) button.

Settin AVL
Automatic Volume Limitin (AVL) function normalises sound
to obtain fixed output level between pro rams, havin different
sound levels. Pressin   or   button will turn on and off
this feature.

Picture Menu
 To enter the Picture menu directly, press the GREEN button,
or

 As you enter the picture menu, Bri htness will be the first
selected option.
 Press   button to increase bri htness.

Settin Contrast
 Usin   or   button select Contrast.
 Press   button to increase contrast level.
 Press   button to decrease contrast level.
Settin Colour
 Usin   or   button select Colour.

Settin Sharpness
 Usin   or   button select Sharpness.
 Press   button to increase peakin level.
 Press   button to decrease peakin level.
Settin Hue
(Durin Playback NTSC system, this will appear in AV mode
only when NTSC video source is applied. Otherwise, HUE
option is invisible in Picture menu.):
 Usin   or   button select Hue.
 Press   button to increase hue level.
 Press   button to decrease hue level.
Center value is indicated with the two reciprocal arrows.
Mode
This item is used to chan e the picture size.
By pressin   or   button you may choose one off three
options. These are, 4:3, 16:9 and AUTO.
 4:3 This option forces the picture ratio to 4:3 mode.
 16:9 This option forces the picture ratio to 16:9 mode.
 AUTO This option is available only if your TV has WSS feature.
This allows to chan e the picture mode automatically, ac-
cordin to the transmission of the selected channel. For
example, your TV is 4:3 mode, but the transmission of that
channel is in 16:9 mode. If you select the AUTO mode, the TV
is switched to 16:9 mode automatically. If the TV is in 4:3
mode and the picture ratio of the channel is also 4:3, there will
be no affect selectin the picture mode to AUTO mode.
WSS feature is only used in TV modes. For the Picture Mode
selection in AV-1 the pin 8 (of Scart) value is used. In RGB
modes the Picture Mode can be 4:3 or 16:9 (Auto mode is not
available.).
To Store the Settin s
 Press   or   button on STORE option to store Picture
menu settin s.
The stored picture mode settin will be valid only in current
pro ram. However, the other stored values in Picture Menu will
be valid for all the pro rammes

 To enter the Feature menu directly, press the YELLOW
button, or
 Press " " button, now you are in Main menu. In the Main
menu, select FEATURE usin   or  button. Then enter
the Feature menu pressin   or   button.
Sleep Timer
As you enter the Feature menu, SLEEP TIMER will be the first
selected option. Use   or   button to chan e the Sleep
Timer values between OFF, 0:15:00, 0:30:00, 0:45:00, 1:00:00,
1:15:00, 1:30:00, 1:45:00 and 2:00:00.
It is displayed on the upper ri ht of the screen. If sleep timer
is activated it is displayed with the TV status and erased with
it after 3 seconds.

If there is only one minute left of the timer countdown, it is dis-
played automatically on the upper ri ht of the screen, and stays
there until finished. The TV then oes automatically to stand-
by.
Child Lock
You can use this feature to prevent children turnin on TV or
chan in pro rams or adjustments etc. without remote con-
trol.
The CHILD LOCK feature can be set by   or   button to
either ON or OFF. When OFF is selected, there will be no differ-
ence in the operation of your TV. When ON is selected, the TV
can only be controlled by the remote control handset. In this
case, the front panel buttons (except the Switch On/Off button)
will not work.

In Feature menu all settin s are stored automatically.
Install Menu
 To enter the Install menu directly, press the BLUE button, or
 Press " " button, now you are in Main menu. In the Main
menu, select INSTALL. usin   or   button. Then en-
ter the Install menu pressin   or   button.
Selectin Pro ramme
To select pro ramme number, you can use   or   button,
Di it Buttons or The Double Di it button with di it buttons.

BAND, can be chosen either,

Selectin Frequency
The frequency value is,
 044 - 890 MHz for band VHF1 - VHF3 - UHF.
FREQUENCY can be chan ed by   or   button, by the

The decimal value in frequency can not be chan ed by the di it
buttons, it can be chan ed only by the   or   button. The
value can be 00, 25, 50 and 75. Also chan in Fine Tun-
in chan es the decimal part.
Standard
The "STANDARD" settin is fixed to "I". You cannot chan e this
item's settin .

Selectin Search
To start the search process, press   button for forward
search or   button for backward search. SEARCH item blinks
durin search process, since the process is stopped or si -
nal is found. Durin search process the semi-transparent
menu back round becomes "BLUE". To stop the search pro-
cess   or   button must be pressed a ain.
Selectin Fine Tunin
You can use the Fine Tunin process for fine adjustment (af-
ter coarse adjustment), if you are not happy about the ima e
on the screen.
Use   or   button on FINE TUNING item, until ettin the
best ima e on the screen.
To Store Settin s
Press   or   button on STORE option to store Install menu
settin s.
Programme Menu
 Press " " button, now you are in Main menu. In the Main
menu, select PROGRAM. usin   or   button. Then
enter the Pro ramme menu pressin   or   button.
By movin the cursor in four directions you can reach 30 pro-
rammes in the same pa e. By scrollin the pa es up or
down by pressin the navi ation buttons you can select all the
pro rammes in TV mode (except the AV mode).
In menus,   or   buttons are workin like "Direction Up"
and "Direction Down".
By cursor action, pro ramme selection is done automatically.
Selected pro ramme is displayed with CYAN characters. In
order to select pro ramme is also possible by usin di it or
double-di it button. In this way pro ramme selection is auto-
matic and after selection the selected pro ramme is displayed
with cyan characters. The TV Status is chan ed by the pro-
ramme selection too. When usin double-di it button in
order to select a pro ramme, the Pro ramme Number in TV
Status OSD is displayed in "P --" form, and by pressin di it
buttons they are displayed in it.
Pro ramme Number is between 00 and 99. Pro ramme
Name has a name strin with 5 characters. After autostore
process the Pro ramme Names are set to "PR01" (pro-
ramme number),
At the bottom of the menu there is a pro ramme sort functions
section. Each function is activated by color button (seen below).
NAME allows chan in the pro ramme name. By DELETE you
can delete pro rammes that you decided. INSERT section is
for insertin pro rammes into another pro ramme spaces.
By selectin AUTOSTORE section, Autostore menu will be
available.
To chan e the name of a decided pro ramme, Select the pro-
ramme and push the RED (NAME) button. The first letter be-
ins to blank on the selected name. To chan e that letter  
or   button can be used, and to select the other letters,  
or   button can be used. If the cursor is at the last letter of the
Pro ramme Name, pressin   button moves the cursor at
the be innin . On the contrary, if the cursor is at the be innin
of the Pro ramme Name, pressin   button moves the
cursor at the end.

After chan in the name by pressin the RED button (STORE)
it is stored. After activatin the name process the INSERT,
DELETE and AUTOSTORE processes will be inactive and
"CANCEL" option will be valid. This option cancels the name
process, if the new name do not want to be stored.
When the GREEN button is pressed, "NAME", "AUTOSTORE"
and "DELETE" functions are erased, the selected pro ramme
(A) is displayed with reen characters. From now on, the au-
tomatic selection is canceled. Cursors moves are indicated
with CYAN characters. With navi ation buttons, the decided
pro ram space (B) can be selected and by pressin the reen
button a ain the pro ramme will be inserted into that space.
All pro rammes below the inserted pro ramme will move
down by one number.
"CANCEL" function cancels the activated "INSERT" process.
For "DELETE" process press the yellow button, (NAME, IN-
SERT and AUTOSTORE functions are inactive). Pressin
yellow button a ain erases the selected pro ramme from the
pro ramme list, and the pro rammes below shift one up.
Pressin blue button cancels the activated DELETE process.
To enter Autostore menu, press to the blue button. To learn the
features of this function see "AUTOSTORE" below.
Autostore
Autostore, searches and stores all channels automatically on
your TV, accordin to the transmission of pro ramme systems
in your area.

ter Autostore, as from a required pro ramme. In default the pro-
ramme number is set to the followin pro ramme after the
last set pro ramme. By usin   or   button the number
can be chan ed, in addition to chan e number di it button or
double di it button can be used too.

After Autostore is finalized, a pro ramme list will apper on the
screen. In the pro ramme list you will see the pro ramme
numbers and names assi ned to the pro rammes.
If you do not accept the locations and/or the pro ramme
names of pro rammes, you can chan e them in Pro ramme
menu.
Other eatures
TV Status
Pro ramme Number, Pro ramme Name (or AV), (they are
displayed on the upper left of the screen) and Sleep Timer
(shows the time left on the upper ri ht screen if enabled). In
stereo options the sound indicator is displayed with them too.
They are displayed after pro ramme chan e for 3 seconds.
Pro ramme Number
Pro ramme Name (5 characters)
These OSDs are displayed when a new pro ramme is en-
tered by di it button, by pressin P+ or P- button, or by TV
button.
Double-digit (- -)
This OSD is displayed when the Double-di it (- -) button
pressed in place of the pro ramme number indicator.
After that, in order to enter a pro ramme press two di its con-
secutively. Both di its must be entered within 3 seconds or the
function will disappear.
Picture Mode
If your TV has the WSS feature, the picture mode OSD is dis-
played below the sound indicator, by TV Status OSDs. Accord-
in to the WSS data, inside of the OSD box 4:3 or 16:9 or
Auto is written.
Sleep Timer Last Minute Indicator
It is displayed on the upper ri ht of the screen. If sleep timer is
activated it is displayed with the TV status and erased with it
after 3 seconds.
If there is only one minute left of the timer countdown, it is dis-
played automatically on the upper left of the screen, and stays
there until finished. Then TV oes automatically to stand-by.
Mute Indicator
It is placed in the upper middle of the screen when enabled,
and it stays there until it is disabled.
To cancel mute, there are two alternative; the first one is press-
in to MUTE button, thus volume is set to the precedin value,
and the second one is increasin the volume level, thus it
starts at the minimum level to increase. By decreasin the
volume level in mute state, mute will not be i nored, only the
volume level will decrease. If mute is cancelled after decreas-
in the volume level, the volume will return at the decreased
level.
No-Signal
No-Si nal Timer Indicator
It is displayed in the middle of the screen when no valid si -
nal detected. It shows the time remainin before the switch-
in to the Stand-By mode (it takes 5 minutes when no si nal
detected or no any Remote Control command is accessed).
The indicator is displayed for 3 seconds when there is no valid
si nal.
After an Remote Control command (if No-Si nal Timer is
active) the timer stops and if no si nal detected a ain the timer
is initialized to 5 minutes and starts 3 seconds later a ain to
count down.
It is not valid in AV mode.
Blue Background During No-Signal
In case, no valid si nal is detected (in TV or AV mode) Blue
Back round is activated.Durin search process Blue Back-
round is not active. But instead there is another feature iven;
the semi-transparent menu back round is made blue.
Volume Bar
It is displayed in the lower middle of the screen. When a vol-
ume command is received (pressin V+ or V- by Remote
Control or Front panel) and no menu is active, it stays on the
screen for 3 seconds, after the last volume command or until
another command is received in between.
AV Modes
By pressin the AV button you can switch your TV to AV modes
(except bein in Teletext). Pressin this button consecutively
will switch the TV in one off the AV modes: AV-1, F-AV, RGB.
AV-1 supports the RGB mode. But if there is some colour prob-
lem in AV-1 mode, please force the AV mode to RGB mode.
In order to quit the AV mode press the TV button.

Teletext
Teletext is an information system that displays text on your TV
screen. Usin the Teletext information system you can view a
pa e of information on a subject that is available in the list of
contents (index).
On screen display is not available in text mode.
Contrast, bri htness or colour control is not available, but
volume control is available in text mode.
To operate Teletext
 Select a TV station on which Teletext is bein transmitted.
 Press (TELETEXT) TXT button. Usually the list of contents
(index) is displayed on the screen.
To select a page of Teletext
 Press the appropriate di it buttons for the required Teletext
pa e number.
The selected pa e number is displayed at the top left corner
of the screen. The Teletext pa e counter searches until the
selected pa e number is located, so that the desired pa e is
displayed on the screen.
 Press P+ button to move the Teletext screen forward one
pa e at a time.
 Press P- button to move the Teletext screen backward one
pa e at a time.
To exit Teletext
 Press TV button. The screen will switch to TV mode.
Tips
Care of the Screen
Clean the screen with a sli htly damp, soft cloth. Do not use
abrasive solvents as they may dama e the TV screen coatin
layer
Poor Picture
Have you selected the correct TV system? Is your TV set or
house aerial located too close to the loudspeakers, non-
earthed audio equipment or neon li hts, etc. ?
Mountains or hi h buildin s can cause double pictures or
host ima es. Sometimes you can improve the picture qual-
ity by chan in the direction of the aerial.
Is the picture or Teletext unreco nisable? Check if you have
entered the correct frequency.
The picture quality may de rade when two peripherals are
connected to the TV at the same time. In such a case, discon-
nect one of the peripherals.
No Picture
Is the aerial connected properly? Are the plu s connected
ti htly to the aerial socket? Is the aerial cable dama ed? Are
suitable plu s used to connect the aerial? If you are in doubt,
consult your dealer.
No Picture means that your TV is not receivin any transmis-
sion. Have you pressed the correct keys on the remote control?
Try once more.
Sound
You can not hear any sound. Did you perhaps interrupt the
sound, pressin MUTE key?
Sound is comin from only one of the speakers. Is the balance
set to one direction extreme? See SOUND menu.
Remote Control
Your TV no lon er responds to the remote control. Press the
TV button on the remote control once more. Perhaps the bat-
teries are exhausted. If so you can still use the local keys at the
front of your TV.
Have you selected the wron menu? Press TV key to return
to TV mode or press   to return to the previous menu.
No solution
Switch your TV set off and on. If this does not work, call the
service personnel; never attempt to repair it yourself.
