OPERATION
Before rst use:
• Remove packaging materials, labels and stickers from coffee maker.
• Clean coffee maker thoroughly before using for the rst time (cleaning).
NOTE: To clean the coffee maker of any residues, ll it to the maximum level mark
with fresh water. Boil and empty the coffee maker at least 2 times.
• EXTENSION CORDS
A shot power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-
supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used.
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not frappe over the counter-
top or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled on unintentionally
(especially by children).
• POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one
way. If plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t.
Contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way
Using the coffee maker:
The coffee maker is only for brewing coffee. HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
Hold on the lter basket (5) and pull it out. 1.
Place the 5 cup paper lter into the lter basket (5).2.
Add the desired amount of the ground coffee to the lter basket (5). (Suggested 3.
each cup of coffee use 1 to 1.5 level measuring spoon). Do not overll.
Place the lter basket (5) in its place. (Please make sure it is mounted well).4.
Open the water tank lid (1).5.
Fill carafe (7) with desired amount of water (check the water level indicator (3)6.
on coffee maker). Pour water into the water tank (2).
Place carafe (7) on warming plate (12).7.
Insert power plug into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.8.
Turn on the switch (10) the light will go on.The brewing begins.9.
When the coffee stops owing the brewing cycle is complete.10.
NOTE: Never leave the empty carafe (7) on the warming plate (12) when the cof-
fee maker is on. Other wise the carafe (7) is liable to crack.
• When you are nished with the coffee turn the switch off and unplug the unit.
(The light in the switch will go off then the unit is turned off).
NOTE:To interrupt brewing, press the switch (10) once more, and the light turns
off.
CAUTION: Do not touch the warming plate! Risk of burn injury.
CAUTION:To reduce the risk of scalding. Do not open lid when coffee is brewing.
CAUTION: Hot steam on the lid, do not touch the lid during brewing.
CAUTION:After the brew cycle is complete, wait a minimum of 10 minutes before
taking out the lter basket (5). Steam builds up under the shower head (11), there
is a risk of injury from the hot steam.

Proper maintenance will ensure years of service of your appliance. Clean the appli-
ance after every use.This appliance contains no user serviceable parts and requires
little maintenance. Leave servicing or repairs to qualied personnel.
WARNING:
• Unplug the appliance and allow cooling before cleaning.
CAUTION:
• Do not immerse the coffee maker, the power cord with plug into water or any
liquids.
• Clean the housing and warming plate (12) with a clean, damp cloth.
CAUTION:
• Remove carafe (7), lter and the lter basket (5) from the coffee maker.
CLEANING
Before using the appliance, verify that the domestic supply voltage matches that
indicated on the appliance.

Extra features
• The drip stop valve (6) function allows you to remove the carafe (7) during the
brewing to serve a cup of coffee (replace carafe (7) immediately in less than 30
seconds).
• Cord storage for easy storing of the power cord if coffee maker will not be used
for a long time.
CAUTION:
• Only the carafe (7) is dishwasher-safe. Wash the carafe (7), carafe lid (9) and lter
basket (5) in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
• Use baking soda or mild cleaning agent to remove stains on the carafe (7).
• Ensure all parts are completely dry after washing and before use.
NOTE:
• Do not dry inside of water tank (2) with a cloth, as lint may remain.
• After cleaning, reassemble coffee maker.

Antes del primer uso
• Retire todo el embalaje, etiquetas y pegatinas de la cafetera.
• Limpie la cafetera antes de usarla por primera vez (Ver los pasos de LIMPIEZA)
NOTA: Para limpiar la cafetera de cualquier residuo, llénela hasta la marca de nivel
máximo con agua fresca. Lleve a ebullición y vacíe la cafetera por lo menos 2 veces.
• CABLES DE EXTENSION
Se provee un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de enredarse o tropezar
con un cable largo. Pueden usarse cables de extensión más largos si se toman las
precauciones necesarias en su uso. Si se usa cable de extensión,

• ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este electrodoméstico tiene un enchufe polarizado (una pata del enchufe es mas
ancha que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe esta
diseñado para entrar de un solo modo en la toma eléctrica. Si el enchufe no entra
totalmente en la toma de corriente, invierta su posición. Si aun así no entrase, pón-
gase en contacto con un electricista cualicado. No intente modicar el enchufe de
ninguna maneta.

LIMPIEZA
Uso de la cafetera:
Utilice esta cafetera solamente para hacer café. SOLO PARA USO DOMÉSTICO.
Sostenga la cesta del ltro (5) y extraigala.1.
Coloque un ltro de papel para 5 tazas en la cesta del ltro (5).2.
Añada la cantidad de café molido deseada a la cesta del ltro (5). (Se sugiere 3.
usar entre 1 y 1.5 niveles de café de la cucharilla de medición para cada taza de
café dependiendo de su gusto). No sobrellene.
Coloque la cesta del ltro (5) en su lugar. (por favor, asegúrese de que esta 4.
correctamente colocada)
Abra la tapa del deposito de agua (1).5.
Llene la jarra (7) con la cantidad de agua deseada (fíjese en el indicador de nivel6.
de agua (3) en la cafetera).Vierta agua en el depósito de agua (2).
Vuelva a colocar la jarra (7) sobre la placa calentadora (12)7.
Inserte el enchufe en una toma de corriente alterna estándar de 120V ~60Hz.8.
Encienda el interruptor (10) y se iluminara. El proceso de infusión empezara.9.
Cuando el café deje de uir, el ciclo de infusión se habrá completado.
NOTA: Nunca deje la jarra (7) vacía en la placa calentadora (12) cuando la cafetera
este encendida porque se puede quebrar la jarra.
NOTA: Para interrumpir la infusión, pulse el interruptor (10) de nuevo y la luz se
apagara.
NOTA: No toque la placa calentadora. Riesgo de quemadura
PRECAUCION: Para reducir el riesgo de escaldarse, no abra la tapa durante el
proceso de infusión.
PRECAUCION: Hay vapor caliente debajo de la tapa, no toque la tapa durante el
proceso de infusión.

Antes de utilizar el artefacto, verique que el voltaje de la red doméstica
corresponda con la indicada en el artefacto.
Luego de seguir los pasos de limpieza y mantenimiento, recoja el cordón1.

PRECAUCION:
• Solo la jarra (7) se puede limpiar en el lavavajillas. Limpie la jarra (7), la tapa de la
jarra (9) y la cesta del ltro (5) en agua caliente y jabonosa. Enjuague y seque.
• Use bicarbonato o un agente limpiador suave para eliminar las manchas de la jarra
(7).
NOTA:
• No seque el interior de depósito de agua (2) con un paño ya que puede dejar
pelusas.
• Despues de limpiar, vuelva a montar la cafetera con todas sus partes.
