WARNING: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice a

EXTENSION CORDS
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be
used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord
should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged,
or pulled on unintentionally by children or the user.
POLARIZED PLUG (IF APPLICABLE TO YOUR COUNTRY)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If plug does not fit fully into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

HOW TO OPERATE
BEFORE FIRST USE:
1. Unpack the appliance and all parts. Remove all packaging
materials, including any stickers or labels.
2. Read these instructions carefully.
3. Clean the lid, inner pot, measuring cup and spoon in warm soapy
water, do not use abrasive materials, then wipe dry with a soft
cloth. Wipe down the exterior with a soft dry cloth.
4. NEVER IMMERSE APPLIANCE OR CORD IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID.
5. Position the appliance on a stable, dry, level, heat-resistant
surface near an electrical outlet.
6. Unroll the electrical cord.
7. Operate this appliance on a separate outlet and circuit from other
appliances to avoid overloading the circuit.
FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
USING THE APPLIANCE:
1. Scoop rice with measuring cup, rinse rice several times, put rice
into inner pot and add drinking water according to the scale line

on inner pot.
2. Wipe dry then inner pot with a soft cloth, then place the inner pot
into the cooking plate.
3. Plug the appliance into the electrical outlet.
4. Press down the cook button to start cooking, the warm indicator
light turns on, once the rice is cooked, the rice cooker goes to the
warm cycle automatically.
Caution: As the rice expands and cooks, the steam will saddle from the steam
vent, please do not place your hand on the lid as it could burn with hot steam.
5. Open the lid carefully, use the spoon to scoop out the rice. Always
place the lid after serving to prevent the rice from drying out.
6. Be sure to disconnect the appliance when it is not in use as the
inner pot stays warm when it is connected.
7. To reheat cooked and cooled rice, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water into
the pot and press the cook button.
CLEANING
Proper maintenance will ensure years of use of your appliance. Clean the
product after every use following these steps. This appliance contains no
user serviceable parts and requires little maintenance.
1. Unplug the rice cooker before cleaning.

2. Clean the lid, inner pot, measuring cup and spoon in warm soapy
water, do not use abrasive materials, then wipe dry with a soft
cloth. Wipe the surface of rice cooker with a soft dry cloth.
3. Residual food can be removed with a rubber spatula, a sponge or
a cloth.
CAUTION:
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE, THE POWER CORD
OR THE PLUG INTO WATER OR ANY LIQUIDS.
STORAGE
1. After following the steps for cleaning and maintenance, collect the
power cord.
2. Store the appliance in a dry and clean place.

PRECAUSI ÓN ： Durante los primeros minutos de uso inicial, usted puede
notar un poco de humo y/o un olor del artefacto. Esto es normal y
desaparecerá. No va a reaparecer después de que el artefacto se haya
utilizado un par de veces.
CABLES DE EXTENSIÓN
Se provee un cordón eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de enredarse o
tropezar. Pueden usarse cables de extensión más largos si se toman las
precauciones necesarias en su uso. Si se usa un cable de extensión:
1. Las características eléctricas del cable de extensión deben ser iguales o
superiores a las del artefacto.
2. El cable debe colocarse de forma que no cuelgue para evitar que
puedan tropezar, enredarse o tirar de él accidentalmente (especialmente

por niños o mascotas).
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO (SI APLICA A SU PAÍS)
Este electrodoméstico tiene un enchufe polarizado (una pata del
enchufe es más ancha que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descarga
eléctrica, este enchufe está diseñado para entrar de un sólo modo en la
toma eléctrica. Si el enchufe no entra totalmente en la toma de
corriente, invierta su posición. Si aún así no entra, póngase en
contacto con un electricista calificado. No intente modificar el enchufe
de ninguna manera.
SOLO PARA USO DOMÉSTICO
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Este artefacto solo puede ser operado en un tomacorriente del voltage
indicado en el mismo.
2. No coloque el artefacto directamente debao de un gabinete ni cerca de
una pared.
3. Mida la cantidad deseada de arroz con la taza medidora de arroz
provista, la cual equivale a 1 taza.
4. Llene la olla con agua y arroz crudo usando la taza medidora
suministrada. Por cada medida de arroz debe añadir 1.5 medidas de agua.
Nota: esto puede variar en dependencia del tipo de arroz o gusto personal.
5. Para cocinar el arroz, también puede utilizar otro liquido, como puede

ser caldo de pollo.
6. El sabor o la dureza variara según la calidad o el tipo de arroz, la
cantidad de liquido y el tiempo de cocción Quizás deba experimentar
diversas formas para adaptarlo a su gusto.
7. Antes de colocar la olla en la base, asegúrese de que tanto el exterior
de la olla como la placa del calefactor esten limpias y secas. No permita
que caiga arroz suelto ni particular dentro de la base.
8. Inserte la olla dentro de la base Puede que deba girarla levemente
hacia la izquierda y la derecha para asegurar el contacto adecuado con la
placa del calefactory.
9. Coloque la tapa. La tapa debe mantenerse siempre cerrada mientras la
olla está en funcionamiento.
10. Enchufe el artefacto a una toma de corriente stándar del voltaje
indicado. La luz del ciclo de calendar (WARM) se enciende Prima el botón
de cocinar. La luz de cocinar (COOK) se encenderá.
II. Si tiene dificultad al oprimir el botón de cocinar(COOK), no trate de
forzarlo. Esto sucede usualmente cuando la olla no está bien colocada o si
ya ha terminado de cocinar Puede detener la cocción antes de que el arroz
esté cocido presionando el botón hacia arriba, lo cual hará que el artefacto
pase al ciclo de calentar(WARM). Si desea apagar el artefacto
completamente, desenchúfelo del tomarriente.
Precaucion: No coloque la mano sobre la tapa ya que podria quemarse con
el vapor caliente. A medida que el arroz se expande y se cocina, el vapor
sadrá del escape de vapor.
12. Una vez que el arroz esta cocido, la olla pasa al ciclo de calentar(WAR

M) automáticamente
13. Utilice una spátula de servir(o una de madera)para revolver y extraer
el arroz. No use utensilios de metal que puedan rayar el recipiente.
14. Asegúrese de desconectar el artefacto cuando no lo este usando ya qu
e la olla interna se mantiene caliente mientras esté conectado
15. Siempre coloque la tapa después de servir para evitar que el arroz se s
eque
16. Nunca deje utensilios en la olla cuando esté usándola
17. Para recalentar arroz ya cocinado y enfriado, agregue de 1/4 a 1/2 taz
a de agua en la olla y prima el botón de cocinar (COOK).
18. Mantenga el fondo de la olla y la superficie del plato de calentamiento
limpios para prevenir el mal funcionamiento
19. Recuerde que cuando conecte la arrocera, si no prime el botón de coci
nar (COOK). la luz de calendar (WARM) se encenderá automaticamente
20. Mientras más rapido sirva el arroz, mejor sabor tendrá Guarde el sobra
nte en el refrigerador.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO:
1. Antes de limpiar el artefacto, desconéctelo del tomacorriente y espere que
se entre completamente
2. Limpie el artefacto después de cada use.

3. Remueva el recipiente para cocinar y la tapa, y limpie con agua y jabón
4. Nunca sumerja el artefacto en agua u otros líquidos.
5. Para limpiar el exterior de artefacto puede usar un trapo húmedo, con cuid
adode no mojar el cordon eléctrico.

No limpie con materiales metálicos o abrasives

ALMACENAJE
1. Luego de seguir los pasos de limpieza y mantenimiento, recoja el cable

herein stated, that should this product become defective by reason of mechanical or
workmanship manufacturing defects during the specified warranty period, HOL-
STEIN HOUSEWARES will, at its option, either repair or replace this product found
to be defective. HOLSTEIN HOUSEWARES warrants that from the date of purchase,
this product will be free from mechanical manufacturing defects for a period of 180
days.
Transportation charges on parts, or products in whole, submitted for repair or re-
placement, under this warranty, must be borne by the purchaser.

HOLSTEIN HOUSEWARES or an authorized service center. Further, the warranty

HOLSTEIN HOUSEWARES shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential
damages caused by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Except to the
extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above
warranty. Some states, provinces or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limi-
tation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This

DESGASTE NORMAL
