Safety Information
WARNING: READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY INFORMATION BEFORE USING THE
FIREPLACE
1. This fireplace is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch any of the hot surfaces.
Be aware that surfaces near the fireplace outlet or light bulbs can get extremely hot.
2. Keep combustible materials, such as clothes, pillows, furniture, bedding, papers and curtains at
least 3 feet from the front of the unit.
3. Do not cover or block fireplace outlet or any ventilation or exhaust opening at any time.
4. Do not use the fireplace on soft or uneven surfaces where openings may become blocked.
5. Extreme caution is necessary when any fireplace is used near children, infants and pets
6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the fireplace.
7. The fireplace should never be left switched on and unattended
8. Do not install the fireplace directly on carpet or a similar surface, which may restrict air circulation
beneath the unit.
9. Always unplug fireplace when not in use.
10. To disconnect the fireplace, turn off at the controls and then remove the plug from the outlet.
11. Do not use outdoors.
12. This fireplace is not intended for use in wet locations, such as bathrooms or laundry areas. Never
locate the fireplace where it may fall into water or use it near water.
13. Do not operate the fireplace with a damaged cord or plug, or if the fireplace has malfunctioned, or
has become damaged in any way. Seek assistance from a qualified electrician before re-using.
14. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or anything similar.
Place the cord away from a high traffic area, where it will not be tripped over.
15. Do not insert any foreign objects into any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock or fire.
16. All electrical fireplaces have hot and sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline,
paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored, or where the unit will be exposed to flammable
vapors.
17. Do not modify this fireplace. Use it only as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
18. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of
fire.
19. Do not burn wood or other materials in this fireplace.
20. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced. Seek advice form a qualified electrician

23. Always use properly grounded, fused and polarized outlets.

27. When transporting or storing the fireplace and cord, keep in a dry place, free from excessive
vibration to avoid damage to the fireplace.
28. This fireplace is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the fireplace by a person responsible for their
safety.
29. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plug and where it exits
from the fireplace.
30. CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this
fireplace must not be connected to an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to
a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
